I have considered that over a tubal. It can be done in the doctor's office, no down time, etc. They insert some sort of a object in your fallopian tube and scar tissue grows over it sealing your tubes. It is relatively new though.

tubes tied versus Essure?
Anyone have either of these procedures done?  My husband was supposed to have a vasectomy before my IUD  "expired", that was 4 3/4 years ago and I have two more months until I have to have my IUD out.  I want something permanent and was going to get my tubes tied/cut but then I found out about the Essure procedure.  I'm still leaning towards the tubal but just wondering if anyone out there has any opinions.  Thanks so much!
