There are 2 body styles. The 4-door (sm)
style like mine is easier to find, but my sister got the 3-door one, which looks even more modern and flashy and tiny. Super cute.
It rates extremely well by Consumer Reports - top in its category for reliability. This car has been around a while in Europe, but only arrived here about 1 year ago.
On the down side, my very tall hubby does bump his head sometimes when trying to get in, but he sits unusually tall for somebody 6 foot 3 inches. I wouldn't say it has as much leg room as he'd prefer, but it is very drivable even for him.

I still think the commercials from the 50s and 60s are the best. I love Speedy from the Alka Selzer commercials and the old Halo shampoo commercials. Everyone used to sing and whistle the tunes from the commercials - no one does that nowadays.
Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is.
Also loved the "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" commercial where the guy is up in the middle of night taking an Alka-Seltzer - people had a lot of fun discussing what the whole thing was that he ate.

How to get paw prints off polished furniture
I have a small mahogany chest next to my front door. My son's girlfriend's cat is living with us temporarily while his owner moves into her new house. She's a lovely cat, but she likes to hop up on the mahogany near the front door to see who is coming and going. She's left lots of paw prints on the shiny surface. I tried polishing with pledge. I tried cleaning with Pergo wood floor cleaner, and I've tried something called Cabinet Magic, a cleaner for wood cabinets. I've gotten a lot of the prints up, but there are a few still there. I've put a towel over the surface until Kitty moves to her own home this weekend. But how can I get those last smudgy prints off my shiny wood surface?

Yup, sounds weird I know. It started with one of my grandmothers from the 1940s or 50's. They are glass with the rubber bulb on the end, but the reason why I like them is because of the interesting packaging tube they come in.. Vintage ads PYREX, etc. Usually with a picture of a big Juicy Turkey, etc. I like the coloring too, kind of primary colors but sort of faded with age. Got three of them right now displayed on top of my kitchen cabinets, along with a BUNCH of roosters (way too many), also collect antique crocks.
I also have about 50 Vernon Kilnz (sp?) plates, the kind with scenes from different states, etc. They sort of tell a story about each place. Once had an idea I would do a bed and breakfast someday and use them, so they just sit in the cupboard, all lonely, etc. Yup, if I see any of these things at the flea market or antique shops, I pick'em up, it's like a compulsion or something... just can't help myself.

If we were both flirting with each other with it, it wouldn't bother me at all. But we have had so many problems in our marriage because of him being mean and one of the things I asked him to change was to show me that he cares about me affectionately, not just sexually. In the middle of the night if I roll over and snuggle up to him he will literally wake up and grab my hand and shove it in his pants. Not in a sexy way, just takes my hand off his chest and shoves it in his pants. I would LOVE to have someone I felt that way about and be groping each other all the time - that would be great! It's different though.

I made this once because it was all I had in the house and I was hungry. I stuck it in the fridge after munching on it and when I went back to have more... it was gone!!! Everyone in the house LOVED it.

First off, what kinds of tests have the docs run???....sm
When my son Adam was 14, he came down with severe aches, light sensitivity, sore throat off and on, EXTREME FATIGUE, etc. His doctor suspected mono and did a Monospot to check this out, complete white count with diff, and also EB virus serologies. and Yup, he did have mono, it took a couple of months to get him over the worst. Lots of rest, good eating habits, and multivitamins is all you can do until the virus gets erradicated. And no contact sports or heavy activities, because the spleen gets very enlarged during mono and they worry about rupture with a blow, etc.
If no tests have been done, I would get a good pediatrician ASAP who will do a CBC with diff, white count, sed rate, UA, EBV serologies and Monospot, and get him diagnosed!! The ear thing may or may not be a part of this, could be a concurrent illness on its own, but if he has been this sick this long, "guessing" at the etiology is wasting time, you need to know for sure what exactly is wrong with your son to treat him properly.
Not trying to be an alarmist, but have raised two and my third is 11 right now so have been through the Streps, pneumonias, my third baby was born with vesicoureteral reflux and needed prophylactic antibiotics the first year of life (he outgrew it right after that, thank God, but we spent 8 days of he!! in the hospital as they put the 3-week old through spinal taps and ALL TYPES of tests, two weeks in hospital with my little girl at 5 years with severe double pneumonia, etc!). Hopefully, if it is mono/EBV, he will recover really quickly, but YOU also need to put your mind at rest, too! Take good care of each other, and update us, okay??? God Bless

I can't remember if I have tried Spectrum or not. the one I have now is Nutiva and it says "A Deiciously Healthy Cooking Oil" on the front. I have had some like you are talking about and did not like that kind. Not sure how to tell before buying though.

now an overdose of antibiotics causing the yeast. Small little girls can have yeast infections. I just laughed when I saw the above where they were also caused by the fabric softners. I have had some in the past and guess what, I do not even use the fabric softners so back to the drawing board for these posters. I guess conspiracy.

My uncle told me each teat on a cow gave different kinds of milk (sm)
One for whole, one for 2%, one for chocolate, and one for buttermilk. That was when I was *real* little; I don't think I bought that one very long.
He also told me that the mountain people had to have "hill cows" which had legs shorter one side than the other so they could stand on the hills without falling over. (If you've ever seen cows standing on a steep hill in the mountains, you'll understand why I believed that for a while...)

You can make a poodle skirt from felt. You will have to approximate your daughter's waist measurements, but a poodle skirt is basically a full circle with a zipper and a waistband. Since you make it from felt, you don't need to do a hem or anything like that. If you buy 72" felt, no seams at all are needed.
Then use the same pattern to make the petticoats. Get really stiff nylon netting and make a drawstring waistband. Make it maybe a couple of inches shorter than the skirt and presto...instant poodle skirt. Then you make a poodle out of white or whatever color you want and some fancy braid and you are good to go.

Ebay Question
I need some opinions here. I won something on Sunday and paid immediately thru PayPal as the auction stated. I posted a comment to please let me know when the item shipped because I wanted to make sure I was home. I didn't hear back yesterday, so I emailed the person directly. I STILL haven't heard back. When do you think I should contact ebay and find out whats' up, or should I try and contact her one more time? My credit card has been charged already and I hate it that there is no communication.

I supported myself on ebay while going to school for MT. It was great back then (2001). I have a few things on ebay now and hardly anyone looks. (handmade jewelry, stocking stuffers for kids, just small stuff). Much different than it used to be. I think it's too big.

as described. In fact, I negotiated with a seller last Thursday for a pair of headphones for my son and got them today. Of course, I will probably have a not so good experience in the future, but chin up, most sellers are honest and reliable.

I bought a Tabers Medical Dictionary the newest edition for $20 plus shipping on ebay. I paid for it over a week ago. I haven't gotten it yet. I have emailed the seller and I have gotten his phone # from ebay. He does not reply to emails and I can't reach him on the phone. What the heck should I do? I want my dictionary.

It may just be delayed shipping with all the holiday rush. I haven't shipped anything this year but in the past the post office has told me they don't guarantee the same as normal.

The seller has 10 days to respond and if not then I can file a paypal claim and they will review and possibly take the money out his account and return it. I have tried to email this seller repeatedly. I have even gotten a phone # from ebay to contact him. I left a message with my phone # on anwering machine. I have heard no response back.

state that sellers have up to 30 days to ship items once they're paid for.... just as buyers have up to 30 days to pay UNLESS it's posted otherwise in the original listing. My guess is that with the holidays the seller has gone away for a few days. Furthermore eBay/PayPal won't open an investigation until it's been 30 days past the day of the sale.

I tend to shop when I get stressed, down, etc, but try hard not to as it has gotten me in trouble in the past. Just bought one of those Thane steam mops on line, only $40 (that is total with shipping)---used, but hey a lot better than the $99 they go for new. Been wanting one for a while but DH would kill me if I spent $100 on one, so went this route, he will be PO'd enough about $40 but happy if the floors get cleaned on a more regular basis of course.

that the sender has 30 days to send the product. If they don't or can't prove they sent it then you can file a complaint with eBay, and they'll check with the seller who will have to either prove they sent the item (i.e. provide postal information with confirmation #s, insurance information, etc) or the seller will have to refund the money. They do tell you that if the seller has "disappeared" that they may not be able to get the money back; however, at the same time they will block them from selling again. My husband & I have bought a lot of stuff on ebay as well as sold a lot. We always ship within 72 hours and most items we've won we've received with a week. I did have one purchase that the seller kept coming up with excuses for not sending it until the 30 days came and eBay contacted her to ship it or else and she finally sent it... but she did refund my shipping fees because of the aggravation and she wasn't asked to do that.

I recently bought something off of ebay. I signed up for paypal and put my charge card through paypal. It kept telling me they were having technical problems to try later. I emailed the seller three times asking if she got the payment because I did not want to double pay (I was hoping she was honest) and never heard from her. Is there a way for me to check if it took through paypal.

the books on collectibles/antiques in Barnes and Noble or Waldenbooks, etc., too. Lots of books on identifying and pricing of old jewlery, bracelets, old plastics, etc. You could have Lucite or you might even have some pieces of Bakelite, both collectible and very cool! I bought something on ebay for $12.00. I got the notice saying your charge card will be charged. It has been 10 days and the seller has not emailed to tell me when it will be shipped. I have emailed her once a day for 10 days with no response. How do you report this to Ebay so I don't get charged?
