The talk radio guy she is referring to

is very adamant about telling people to do their own research before making up their mind about anything. He does his show mostly for entertainment purposes - he is certainly not saying that everything that comes out of his mouth is gospel. He has his show so he can give his opinion - what the heck would he talk about for hours if he did not talk about his opinion?
But that's just my opinion, lol.

I think it's a crock. Either talk radio or nasty

I was referring to my dx. sm
Should clarify I was referring to my dx. Mine coexist. But ty for your opinion. Another old MT.
Actually the one I was referring to is, indeed
still on the show and now in the top 10. The one you are referring to got voted off by the judges. He was rude and argued when they gave their opinions of his performance. The only I was referring to is Neal Boyd. He is wonderful. I love Donald Braswell, too! When he sang the Music of the Night from the Phantom of the Opera this week I actually had tears in my eyes. My favorite opera and what a tremendous performance on his part. Thank you for answering my post.
I was not referring to the OP
There was a reply to the OP talking about her mother's neighbors and their "stupid" dogs.
OMG...I'm not referring to the
*Litters* part of the comment, you ninny...I'm referring to the comment in general, the TONE of the comment...not the words themselves...GAH, no more wasting my time on you! Get a clue will ya?!
Did ya ever just wanna talk about nuthin' just to talk?
As I said before in another post, I miss everyone so much...
So, I have absolutely NOTHING to talk about. Love my new job, love that spring is on the way, and I love that my belly is absolutely filled up with pancakes my husband kindly made for me just now...even though it's lunchtime and not breakfast. I'm one of those freaks that could eat breakfast-type foods at every meal.
...and that reminds me that it's almost that time of year to order some baby chicks for next month. Laying hens, not for meat or anything, just eggs and entertainment. I can't wait for warm weather--it's been a long HARSH winter this year. In fact, I think we're due for another ice storm at the end of the week.
I hope everyone who stops by to read my note about nothing finds themselves and their families in good health. Miss you all, even the ones that can't stand seeing that "Hayseed" name up there.
I'm not referring to the posters...sm
who disagree as being busybodies, but people who make a stink about this issue in general...Never said it was the disagreeing posters who are the busybodies...read carefully....
were you referring to the guy that's old school
nm
You keep referring to her as my daughter.
Is he the stepdad?
If you are referring to me, I had the hysterectomy. sm
I posted here and got a lot of great advice from everyone. I am the one who had the left ovary removed first and then found out I was borderline cancer and the doctors recommended a complete hysterectomy. Well, I did have the hysterectomy and thankfully, all went well. Nothing had spread anywhere and all turned out fine. I am doing very well. Had my procedure laparoscopically and robotix assisted so less invasive. I spent one night in the hospital and actually was back at my computer the next day....on a limited basis of course...but I must say I have been lucky so far. Only hot flashes here and there, but other than that I have felt pretty good. Thanks for asking, if you were referring to me.
Dont know who you are referring to, but I never
s
Perhaps not the post that everyone is referring to....
but I, too, have seen many many unfair man-bashing posts on this board. I have a wonderful husband who means the world to me and, most of the time, I think men are easier to get along with than women. I honestly think that people just enjoy complaining because some of the complaints are really juvenile.
your referring to her not taking accountability and
learning from her actions in the past right? thats good. thank you.
i get real nervous when it comes to confrontation. anxiety.
The smart I was referring to was in regard to
nm
Not referring to a no-support agreement. If there
NM
And is pleural referring to the lungs?
LOL.
I do not think that the OP was referring to this kind of friendship
because the OP put the focus on 'very' close relationship, so it implies something more and slightly different.
She was referring to my DH (old school) and I find it insulting.
nm
she was referring to fake image....not the music itself...why do you feel
nm
Radio DJ...
Radio here said the first ones sent out were
ones to people that electronically filed. Paper filing would take longer.
Have you tried Radio Shack?
NM
Which one? The lawyer or radio DJ..nm

I leave the radio on for them
We go away about once a month for a few days to visit my husband's mother who lives out of state, about a 4 hour drive away, and I always leave the radio on for our 3 cats just to sort of keep them company.
did you try Radio Shack? nm

Morning Radio
In the U.S., this is the most stolen over the counter medication. Name it.
I just heard a poll on the radio the other day
that said Blazing Saddles was the all time #1 guy movie. When Harry met Sally won for all time #1 chick flick. I liked B-S when I was younger but don't think I would want to sit through it now.
They are going up. I heard that this morning on the radio. sm
And it is not from any war or speculation. Well, not this time anyway.
Evidentally all the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico closed down production and everybody went home because of Ike coming onshore this weekend. Right now gas on the west side of Michigan is 3.88, but they said it will probably go up approximately 50-75 cents a gallon. It hasn't happened yet, but then it is only 12:30 in the afternoon here.
He made some kind of radio ...
for years, and he had cancer himself. He was retired and went to retirement place and couldn't sleep and he got up and started working on it. He thought that if you could get those small metal particles to inject them in person, and put the radio waves to them, then they could eat up the cancer. I thought it made sense, but didn't catch it all.
I just heard it on the radio this morning too. nm
:(
Love=dysfunction on the radio
Its not just the dating services. Did you ever notice how most popular songs are full of needy, dysfunctional phrases like "I'm nothing without you", "you give my life meaning", "I've been paralyzed and depressed since you left me", "I just can't let you go", etc. Then we wonder why so many people turn into stalkers and restraining orders are needed when both people don't feel the same way.
On 1 Atlanta radio station this morning...sm
they were begging listeners that if anyone out there actually voted for this guy to please call them and explain why. They couldn't get anyone to call in other than folks saying that they are wondering if people are voting for this kid to annoy Simon.
Like him too, he is the main reason I got Sirius radio....
my husband doesn't like him, but does not have to listen. I too like the fact that he is not PC, and when he has on something I don't like, I change the station, that simple.
Cool! He sounds like a radio trying to tune in

Not sure if you all know who Rick and Bubba are of morning radio but sm
there's been a terrible tragedy and you can read about it here. Please pray for the family. Thanks!

Well, I saw on MSNBC and heard on the radio today that sm
the Grammy's had one of the lowest ratings ever since they began. It said that they are totally out of touch with main-stream America and that the Grammy's doesn't represent most Americans. I thought the Grammy's were a joke, to be honest. It's ridiculous. They are so out of touch with reality it isn't even funny. No one can relate to any of the stars - they can just look up to them and say things like, "Oh wow! I wish I looked like that in short black shorts and had fake blonde hair with a wonderful voice!" Only in my dreams (Carrie Underwood). and the list goes on.
No, I am not jealous. I could really care less. My point I am making is that it's not reality. It's just about who is wearing what, who won what, and it's not even what anyone except Hollywood even cares about. They shouldn't even showcase the Grammy's but show it local in CA and NY, because it's all for them anyway.
One year 2 of our local radio stations, a
hard rock and the country music stations, switched studios and were broadcasting on each other's frequencies.
I miss free XM radio on AOL, but figured that

Go try it, talk, talk and listen sm
Counselors are trained to "listen" and direct you to talk (not them). I have transcribed many, many mental health reports. They do dig deep and keep it going for a very long time, very long, usually (perhaps not for you). But if you both don't tell the truth, you are wasting your money, so why not just get it all out on the table and get it over with and get on with your lives? Don't pussy foot around, get it all out and deal with it. Gosh, life is too short to put on a show, it's not a dress rehearsal, it's life. Go forward, forgive, forget and forge ahead. Don't need a degree for that!! But a little help can't hurt. Might help.
Radio show host Mike Gallagher...
offered them airtime on his show if they would call off the protest for the VT person's funeral and they agreed. The article I read said this radio host did the same thing when he heard they were going to protest the Amish school shooting funeral. All this Phelps retard wants is to get his "message" out there and so I guess he's going to use the radio to do it now, instead of the funeral.
I was 18 and driving my Mustang on Main St. listening to the radio.
.
These things called batteries...they power your radio. nm

It's been on the radio. Apparently the main source is TMZ, nothing official yet. nm

podcasts are like radio shows that you can carry with you and listen to at any time.
You can find them easily on iTunes. There's a link to their podcasts somewhere on the left side of the page. You can search podcasts for subjects that interest you. There are also video podcasts, if you have a video iPod. One of my favorites is The Rest of Everest. It's a weekly video show about climbing Mt. Everest.
You can also listen to podcasts right on your computer, so you don't need to download to your iPod, but it's nice to do that. There are podcasts about every topic you can imagine! Search "crafts", and you'll find something. There are lots of travel podcasts, sports, business, you name it. Some are very highly produced, others are kind of basic. Some are put out by professional broadcasting companies, too. PBS puts out tons, and I like to listen to Garrison Keillor's "News From Lake Wobegon" every week, too.
That's probably more than you needed to know!
I've been running around all day - heard a bit on the radio, but 9 DEAD? Oh goodness. Lord,
help those families right now, God. And that entire city. I used to live there. Can't recall that mall, though. I used to go to 2. If anyone is in that area, I used to live in Bellevue (the Air Force Base there). Where was this mall in Omaha? thanks for any info.
When you say gas stove, are you referring to the same stove you cook on? I ...
just recently transcribed a dictation about a patient who used her gas stove to heat her house, I suppose because her energy company shut her service off, and as a result, she suffered from carboxyhemoglobinemia or carbon monoxide poisoning with resultant symptoms including tiredness, dizziness, and eventually unconsciousnesss requiring hospitalization. Stay warm all, but please be careful.
I was referring to my own hair, people hair. nm

Have a talk with your son
Any discussion or decisions about your son's feelings should be done with your son. This is an ideal situation to guide him in a positive direction. First of all, you are his mother and always will be. She may be doing the parenting tasks for now, and should be respected for giving of herself, but she should not interfere in your relationship with your son. Unfortunately that happens too often in families of divorce these days.
Ask how he feels about what is being said. Ask how he responds to it...or does not not respond at all. There may come a time where he listens to the garbage, then can stand up to her and say, "Aunt _____, I appreciate everything you are doing to help me with letting me stay here. There are some people who would not do what you are doing for me. But, my mom is my mom and I love her. She is always going to be my mom and you are always going to be my aunt. I feel I am lucky to have two different mom figures in my life that I can count on to help me learn how to deal with adult problems."
This sounds really dorky and I'm sorry others were as harsh towards you. I hope you put your own feelings in check and focus on your son's feelings as those being the ones that should be focused upon. He will be coming back to you one day, and everything that happens while he is away will stay with him. How you react is going to have more of an impact than what she says/does, especially when it is negative.
I know something of what you are going through. I am raising my grandchild. My ex's family did not speak to me for 10 years, but now that I have custody of my grandchild, for my ex's sake, they have been more genuinely caring and welcoming to me than my own family. There are a lot of words from the past being swallowed by my ex-SIL. I have proven that beyond myself, my decisions first reflect the best interest of the child. Everyone, even the child, feels it and knows it to be true. From that, respect is being rebuilt.
Good luck to you and your son.
I would talk to him/her
about the symptoms you are having and any family history of illnesses - more than likely they'll do some blood tests to rule out other things first. I had 11 of 18 trigger points on the day of my first visit - you can Google trigger points and it will tell you where some of them are and base it on that - but if your doctor suggests that it is all in your head and you continue to have problems please see another doctor - thankfully my doctor was very understanding and after I kept a log for 3 months of all my symptoms he then referred me on to a rheumatologist and this doctor has been wonderful - I see him every 3 months for routine blood work and medication adjustment if needed - they don't just dope you up on a bunch of narcotics - he also tries behavioral modification along with medicine - so I'm pleased .... Again best wishes.
