That is exactly what I'd do, too.

Looking on the bright side, having no stove might help you cook more healthily! I agree about cleaning the stove, though. Do give it a try. Just clean it well and replace the insulation. You might have to write to the company that made it.
Being realistic, though, there are worse things than some former mousies. I can pretty much assure you that their vermin will have already cleared out of the stove, so your task is to just . . . clean. Some bleach will do a good job on any bacteria and the heat for a few hours will finish off the rest.
But, if you truly can't deal with the stove, you can do just fine with what you have. A microwave and crock pot will cook just about everything. See if you can find a George Foreman grill on sale during the holidays.
If you didn't have that, I'd recommend you get an inexpensive rice cooker. You can cook rice, steam veggies, and even hard-cook eggs in them. Get one even if you do get a new stove.
Many of our students have yard sales to fund their tuition down-payment. If they're good cooks, they can earn extra money from friends and relatives by cooking casseroles, breads, and pastries. Some do frozen meals.
This might be a way to fund the payments on a new stove. Remember, too, that if you buy a used stove, you don't know where it has been. It might have had mice in it, too. Or worse.
The Sears scratch-and-dent store here always has great bargains. If you have one there, that's where I'd go.
