This is a free country, be a doormat for the rest of your life
if you want. You are the same one who writes husband left you after cesarean section, had vehicle accident and he was no help to you, told you he was never happy with you?? What kind of life do you think your children see you having? A good one? Doubt that. I really do not know why you post because giving a person who does not care for me 1 more chance is just idiotic to say the least. You can throw your life away as well as the children. Not this lady. I actually could thank my mother for leaving my father. I visited him, called him, cared for him as much as possible prior to his death in his 90s, loved my stepmom, went to see them often but he certainly as far as I could tell, not father material. Too critical, overbearing and someone I would not have been happy around. She did us kids a really big favor. I have not always had a wonderful life and probably went through a lot more than most but in my golden years I seem to have about everything I could have ever imagined. Life for me is wonderful but then each and every person has the right to make their own decisions and lives and lead a miserable one if they want.
Body For Life is a weight loss program that worked for me.
The book is full of ads for his foods. If you can read past the ads it has great advice. The journal is essential IMHO. It is nice to know exactly what you did that "worked" when you start to drop the pounds. I do Walk Away The Pounds for the aerobic exericise part.
Most libraries own the book. The ISBN# is 0007149670
You live where it's cold or warm? Driving gloves? Some nice body scrub/shower gels? nm

LIVE YOUR LIFE
Dear Sadgirl--three words for you....LIVE YOUR LIFE. You have allowed this man to take control of your life. Stop obsessing and develop relationships with people who will give back. Surely there are people in your life who you can talk with, spend time with, laugh with, cry with, live your life with! Life is so precious, time passes by so quickly. Stop wasting another minute of your life! Just like any other addiction, this unhealthy relationship will be difficult to break. Begin by staying away from the temptation. Keep your mind busy on other things and be with people as much as possible. And most importantly, talk to your pastor or a counselor about this. He will help you overcome. There is much more to your life than living for a few stolen moments with someone you can't have a future with. YOUR LIFE IS WAITING FOR YOU! LIVE IT!
seriously, go live your life, before he drags you down.

Not where I live, 30 years to life?
Most do not even get 30 years for a murder.
I don’t care how you live your life, just don’t want to pay for your mistakes
I think I have made my point.
...and be happy! Still lots of life left to live

Life is too short to live it in fear. I'd rather sleep in my car -sm
than with someone who mistreated me either physically, OR 'just' psychologically. And even if the kids don't actually see anything happening, you better believe they're still picking up on the bad vibes.
The fact that he mentions killing HIMSELF, in addition to you, is a major red flag. If a person reaches a point where they actually talk about doing something, they're alot closer to doing it than when they were just thinking it to themselves.
Guns in the house. (Guns, pleural!) Not good. I'd have insisted those be gone before the wedding day, myself. (Haha - it'd be in the prenuptial agreement that I'd never get married without!)
Anyway, living in fear for the sake of the greater financial 'security' of having 2 incomes is no security at all, in my book. It's a huge sacrifice of your freedom, peace of mind, & safety. The greatest security you can give yourself or the kids is finding a way to provide for yourselves WITHOUT the 'help' of an abuser.
Rest. doing bad, Chef comes in sets things right, rest. does okay,

Question: If you had a year to live
Say other than be with family and friends, what would you want to accomplish or see?
The reason I ask is that my sil has been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The doctor told her she had 5 years to live, but that she had used up 2 of them (?).
She told me that the thing she wants to do most is to read the next Frankenstein book by Dean Koontz. She was trying to be upbeat about the whole thing and to keep me from crying when she told me the news.
Anyway, it got me to thinking, what would I want to do if I had a couple of years left? One thing is to go to the Smithsonian.
I don't mean to depress anybody or make light of a terminal illness, it just got me to thinking, like I said...
My car tags this year are $455.00! Does anyone live
in a state where they also have ad valorem taxes? I have heard property taxes here might be a thing of the past in a few years- wish they could do away with these high a... fees. Where I used to live our tags were either 10 for an auto and 15 for a truck. Egads!
I have a life, a great life at that. I just happen to include my canine family

Calling all you animal lovers - live and let live or intervene? - sm
I have a dilemma. I am an animal lover and have something I cannot come to a conclusion about. At a restaurant where I eat lunch every Friday with a friend of mine, I have noticed a young male kitty hanging around outside looking for food. This past week he ran up to my friend and rubbed her legs and quietly meowed. I purposely did not try to pet him because I knew I would get attached and ignored him. Well, ever since then I find myself thinking about him and wanting to rescue him. Meanwhile, I already have 4 inside cats (2 rescues, 2 Maine Coons) and hubby really does not want another cat in the house because a few years ago I promised we would never have more than 4 (had up to 5 at one point previously). I actually have a huge screened deck he could stay on indefinitely because I do not believe in letting cats run loose for their own safety. I could provide plenty of food, a warm place to sleep, and veterinary care. At some point I would even probably work him into our household, but I just cannot do it at the moment. Just not sure I would be doing right by that kitty because I am sure he would be upset and confused for a good while as to where he was and what was going on, but is that better than being hungry and cold? I know there are lots of animal lovers out there. What does everyone think??
this is funny *lol*.......el....ya know the rest
LOL - no, the rest were a partial

God help the rest of you if you're ever in need!! sm
I can't believe nobody could possibly believe maybe this man just has a kind heart and saw a woman about to give birth ALONE, who's maybe not in the best of situations, and he was able to help.
There are kind people in the world, and really they have known this woman for a decade, there is a friendship there.
My husband doesn't consult me on purchases, nor do I consult him, we have separate accounts, we make our own money to use as we wish. I can assume this couple is the same way, since the OP had to check HIS checkbook to even know what he spent.
The stylist was lucky to have a customer with a heart.
The rest of the story . . .
I took him the stuff as a thank you for his time and because he looked like death warmed over (found out later he'd pulled 16 hours, off for five, and called back to that intersection). Actually, when he came back with flowers I was shocked. I figured his main agenda was to talk me out my panties since his girlfriend was on a cruise or something. I had just come out of a 14-year marriage that went from good to bad to downright ugly. The last thing I wanted (or felt I deserved) was attention from a decent man. I said thank you for the flowers but I can't accept them. I would put water out for a dog on a day like that. No big deal. I declined his offer to go out and he persisted. I figured he was turned on by a challenge and I would stop this right quick. I told him I was fresh out of a bad marriage and that I like my men like my cats--neutered. Well, he had a thing or two to say to me. He said he simply wanted to take me to dinner for my kindness in giving a snack, he wasn't trying to get in my pants, and he sure as hell wasn't asking to marry me (God help the poor SOB who ever did ask me is what he said). Well, then I felt like a hateful shrew so I apologized and agreed to meet him that Saturday in a public restaurant. We had a very nice time. He gave me his number and said call when you feel like it and I hope you will share your number with me if you feel comfortable. No pressure. He became my best friend and true partner.
Thank you for sharing the rest of
the story. It just proves there are really decent people out there, but sometimes it is difficult to trust. I am the same way. I am so glad things worked out the way they did for you!

there is really no bed rest anymore -
I went home from the hospital 12 hours after my son was born and had no problems whatsoever. I was at Wal-Mart shopping that night because the doctor told me it was good to start walking and just not to overdo it.
I don't remember there being any pain after he was born, just soreness all over really.
Bigger issue - a 16 year old living withi a 29 year old and liability
Are you still not responsible for him until he is 18, how can he tell you where he will live? Unless he emancipates himself and he does something wrong, can they go against you since you are his mother and legally responsible for him? I worry more about him living with a 29 year old sister rather than returning a house key to me that is a bigger issue.
Only the 2nd one if I had the body......nm

It's a really nice foot rest ...
because most of the time you are not going to want to lift it down. If they still have pictures of the tablets, that was a handy feature in case you ever find an unpackaged tablet in your house and can't identify it. :oD

My stepmom, rest her soul
used to love to have my child visit (we are talking in 60s/70s and so) as did her mother who visited them quite a bit. She always talked about how my son loved to be around her mother, her mother quilted, broke the beans in the summer as did my son right along with them. The stepmom only in say 14 years or so (they first took him home with them, my dad and his wife when my son less than 6 months old) that my son acted out on her- at a grocery when she had bought him something and he wanted more. She was mortified that he would have done this. She said he never did this again as he got his privilges taken away. The kids now are certainly in a different place then when mine growing up and I think the Man above for allowing me to raise my children then, not now.
So why has most of the rest of world abolished

Rest in peace, Fred!
We just put our 22-year-old cat, Fred, to sleep this evening. He had wasted away from 17 pounds to 5 pounds and was too weak to stand or eat. He was a loving companion for the past 22 years and will be missed dearly.
Rest in peace, Fred. Benny, Gus, and Lily will be waiting in heaven to greet you with open arms!
I'm a live-and-let-live person but had to draw the line
after I found HUGE holes in the walkway between my house and barn. I thought they were just little mice stealing grain, but then I spotted one and it was a HONKIN RAT! My poor olderly cat was out there with me at the time and saw it, and he hissed at it and ran away!
I asked for advice on what to do at a local agricultural board, because I have other animals and didn't want to use poison and conventional traps weren't working. They advised putting a large pale of water out with some seeds floating in it, figuring the rats would go for the seeds and end up drowning. That was a no-go because the water just froze up solid. I wound up reluctantly going with Decon because I just can't have my house destroyed. I haven't had seen any more rats or evidence of them stealing grain, so I'm guessing they have died. The guy at the grain store promised me the rats would not die in the building and stink the joint up, rather they would crawl off and die outside. I don't know if I believe that, as it is still winter here and decomposition would be holding off until it warms up. We'll see, but at least the destruction has been halted.
Good luck and I too say have no mercy, because you just don't need them destroying hour house or causing a spark chewing wires and burnin' the place down. It is war!
(How un-PC is this emoticon?!)
My 14-year-old is going to be a mother-in-law (so funny) if you google it and 11-year-old daughter

With a body like that, hmmm you could also do
porno but just not the way I would want others to see me. Sorry, I have family that I just would not want to shame them much less myself. Just not an exhibitionist here.
Bath and Body sm
My DH got me some B/B red leather collection stuff, makeup bag, manicure/pedicure set (awesome) and a little purse which came with Moonlight Path shower gel and body lotion. I already had the overnight bag and the tote. I just can't get enough of that red - I'm a bling, bling girl all the way!!!
Well maybe the body but NO WAY that face.
I'd rather be fat and pretty. LOL
you should really do that...keeps a body busy. NM

Body aches
I've been transcribing for 5 years, and my body hurts all the time, seems like.
How do some of you girls do this for 10, 20, 30 years and still function? I have back aches, shoulder aches, neck pain, headaches, forearm aches. I've tried different chairs, keyboards, body posiiton, and it's the same.
Currently, I'm going to school, and I just can't wait.
I have my office at the end of the hall, and it's like Hell is at the end of the hall. Sometimes, I just hate this room. I don't even come in here on my days off, even if I have to use the PC. I look around this room, and just think, "How can I dislike a room so much?"
HOW do you girls do it for so long?
Neutrogena body oil
Works really well for me. I put it on after taking a shower and towel drying. I use it every day when it first starts, then taper it down to every other day, etc. as tolerated and use regular lotion on the inbetween days.
I find Mary Kay and Avon products are great for sensitive dry skin too. I like Mary Kay lotions and the Avon Skin So Soft is nice too but prefer Neutrogena or the Wal-Mart brand body oil because it seems to soak in faster and not leave me feeling greasy.
I think it is her body, her choice, and
her business. In the same category with men donating sperm or couples going to a fertility clinic.

Alcohol and cigs should be illegal?? Wow, what a repressive person. Just b/c you don't like something doesn't give you the right to take it away from everyone else.

They may be citizens and are paying taxes like the rest of us.
What difference does it make?
