Thanks for all the great info. Our darling Westie

had her teeth cleaned under anesthesia a few times, and some of her teeth were getting a little loose when she was getting older. She was 12 and I will miss her as long as I live. I definitely will get some of the bones and things to help this weekend.  Again, thanks to all!

Thank you so much for all the great info!
I know that we used to use Febreeze but haven't in a long time. I wish I could remember the day before as well as the morning of the death of the birds. I will certainly be extra careful now. BTW, my DH has a Blue and Gold Maccaw in his office at work. We just sold our parrot and gauffin simply due to all the work they were. We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I just needed to lighten my load a little. The gauffen (looks like the Baretta bird just smaller) needed constant attention. She loved to be held and would cry if you were in the room with her but not petting or talking to her. She started plucking her feathers out so we sold her to an elderly widow who wanted a bird to spoil. Her son works for my DH so we know the bird is doing great.
That's great! Can you share any more info on that? Thx.
Thanks.
Great info, Robin
I started having symptoms about 15 years ago but didn't get diagnosed for a long time. I was in a new marriage, pregnant with my midlife baby, working fulltime and caring for my mom at home through her terminal illness, so I figured I was just suffering from anxiety and stress.

Towards the end of my pregnancy the baby was determined to have IUGR and had to be delivered early. A couple of weeks later I got a phone call that his newborn screen indicated he was hypothyroid, so I brought him in for a recheck and this time the blood work was normal. I couldn't seem to make enough breast milk, though, and over the next couple of years my periods never returned to normal. My mom passed when my son was 4, and a month or so after that I finally went to a doctor for a "checkup."

My own labs came back showing I was hypothyroid and postmenopausal, and as an added perk the doctor diagnosed me with clinical depression. Suddenly everything fell into place in terms of my baby's IUGR and transient hypothyroidism, my weird periods and problems with breastfeeding, the uncharacteristic weight gain, hair loss, dry skin, constant coldness and extreme lethargy. It's still stunning to me that with all the medical scrutiny I went through during the pregnancy nobody thought to check my hormones.

Like you I HATE taking that stupid little pill every morning. I live a healthy lifestyle, eat as organically as possible and am a follower of natural and alternative medicine, so the possibility of treating hypothyroidism other than synthetically is exciting to me. I had been a big consumer of soy milk and tofu until recently and have stopped that. I've always avoided artificial sweeteners and fluoride and think I get enough iodine as I've always lived near the coast. I've increased my exercise and am concentrating on shedding this extra poundage once and for all. Still, my thyroxine level was never just "borderline," and an herblist and a homeopathic physician have told me hypothyroidism is challenging to treat by natural means. I realize I may never get completely off the meds, but I'm going to do what I can.

Thank you for your tips and inspiration!

The background is pink, the woman is in bed. When they show the one with the closeup of the Westie's face and the little shoulders move up and down I am totally gone . . So many wonderful memories of my baby.  Thanks for giving me a visual of that right now.
I remember well, my little darling
decided to shave her eyebrows, yes, both of them, 1 day when I was gone. Her father did not even notice. She was around 5 or so. I also cut my bangs when I was little, right before my picture to be made in my recital costume. Ah, little girls.

This was on Kim Komando's Cool Site of the Day.  Thought y'all would enjoy these!

Kaydie, darling. I keep seeing this message and

Not hard to tell here who the winners are! She is absolutely darling! I know from
experience that this breed is so lovable and can make me laugh til I cry. They are so full of themselves and rightfully so. They got it goin' on. SO DO YOU!!!!!!   Thanks for making my day with that one.
My hair stylist last October got a tiny darling baby Daschund and SM
a huge hawk was constantly circling around every time she let him out in the yard. Her neighbor was concerned as well. Little Rusty is somewhat bigger now and nothing happened, but I know for sure that the bird had his eye on a very nice dinner.  Like you said, they have to eat, but nature can be cruel sometimes.
Limbo. Great song, great game. Also,

The girls all line up and walk through a room as if they are modeling on the catwalk. Get a couple of bright colored boa's from the party store. It's a real riot and the kids have a blast especially if a couple of brave boys grab a boa and do it too.  We've had many a birthday party doing this and it was totally hilarious.

Wow!! What a great attitude! I love that - great perspective!

I am sure that you are a great mother and a great cook,
and that you tried everything, now try the 'hunger diet'.
Thanks! That was enough info for

Needing this information depends on if you need to use both of your incomes. If not, i would not worry about getting this letter. All mortgage companies are different in what they require. I would just try to use your previous 1099. I am sure the company would not have a problem writing this letter though if needed. If you just explain to them what it is needed for. I am sure you would not be the first person to ask of this.
I don't own a TV but get info from the net

Thanks for the info but not really getting that much
No matter what the cost of the property sold, the rate I am paying (as others would do) is less than $3,000.00! When you take into consider the previous realtor I had was charging 10% of the total amount, I am coming out smelling like a rose. I tried to tell my relative the earnest money was like down payment but apparently not being believed. Their son was selling some property without a realtor and they got up front and got to keep around $500.00 from a sale that did not go through but mine, I told her, was different. Thanks!
Thanks so much for the info!!

Thanks so much for this info..
am sitting here wondering why did I not think of that! I think there is a new walk in really close to me, in fact. I have fibro, like I said and I am 1 big ache to start with with pain in the legs, arms, shoulders but this most excruciating pain right now is in the ribs, not more 1 side than the other, almost unbearable. I once again appreciate so much the helpful thought!
Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the info..
Going to try it out.

She's been on BCP for around a year now...not for contraception initially...for dysfunctional bleeding. Thankfully though, she's somewhat protected. But you know, pregnancy isn't what scares me the most, it's a deadly disease that she could contract...it's a disease that could leave her unable to have a child when she does meet the man she wants to marry. I just feel like crying, she's my little girl...
You don't need a cop to get that info. - sm
It can be found on the internet (for a price) if you know where (Florida) and how to look.
Hey, thanks for all the info
I especially like the part where you say, "I'll be firing AT&T for the phone service." . . . sounds REALLY good about now. Have had a few problems since "the change", and seems they always want to have me try to discuss the issues they are causing with their employees overseas. All I got ta say about dat is . . . taint gonna happen.

Huh? What was that? I need you to transfer me to someone in the United States! LOL!

Thanks again!

My son is 8, he's in 3rd grade.

He can concentrate for hours on videogames.  We spend all of our time together, except for the hours he is in school.  Of course, I'm a SAHM MT, so that makes for more time for us.  He talks nonstop to everyone, everywhere, all the time.  However, my dad and my DH's dad do the same thing, so that could be inherited!

I'm not sure if ADD is the right word here, but don't know how else to describe it.  He's not behind by any means in school, however the thing is, it takes him twice as long to complete *jobs*, as his teacher puts it, than the other kids.  I know from my experience with him and homework, and it's like pulling teeth sometimes to get one worksheet done.  He's just extremely social, I guess.  He can't sit still.  He has a hard time focusing, I do know that much.

Medication is the last thing we want to do (yes, his father is VERY involved in his life...we are an intact family).  I'm thinking about taking him to his ped's office just to talk about some things we can try.  I don't want him labeled with anything unless we know for sure he has it.  I'm just exploring options right now.

Thanks for the advice and responses y'all, keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info!
I thought there would be more restrictions but I guess it is more or less common sense.
Thank you for this info!
We have been tangling with FAFSA since my daughter graduated high school in 2004 but the school that she goes to is less than helpful in giving out information. I have learned more from you than all of the financial "experts" we have spoken to. Thank you for posting!

He's worked for this company for 11-12 years, however they just moved across town in July, so he's been driving since then. He absolutely hates the drive, comes home tired and cranky every night. And by apartment, I did mean one of those weekly hotel-thingies.
thanks for the info
Thanks a lot - I am kind of leaning toward the Monte Carlo but will do a lot more checking before deciding. . I do think it would be best to stay on the strip.

thanks for the info
Thanks guys.  Glad to hear there are some happy people out there.  I'm looking forward to knowing all there is to know and getting on with the every day stuff.  Happy New Year.

I definitely need to lose the plastic hamster cage.  It has metal slats on the sides and all of their bedding gets pushed out all over the floor.  Who ever thought that was a good idea.  I wish they would have warned me at the pet store.

BTW, three days after we got them, one of them chewed its tail off or one of the others possibly did it.  Ever heard of that?

The dinner is going to be at a 5-star resort in CA. Of course, he hasn't gotten me much info yet. He'll wait til the last minute, as usual. I don't know anyone else to call that may know for sure what this event is like, but it sounds maybe *swanky* but not black tie...thanks for your response though!
Thank you for the info...
Her mom called me again a little while ago. Just wanted to chat. I know she will come around on her own. I will respect her wishes to be left alone. It just baffles the heck out of me.
more egg info
I had a friend from England and she always stored her eggs in an egg basket on the kitchen counter! She said that's always been the way they did it in England. I was amazed she wasn't dead of some kind of horrible egg bacteria poisoning.
Thanks for the info!

Thank you so much for the info..sm
This little one is just a sweetheart! She is an absolute doll. I just feel so bad for her when she cries and cries. When we first brought her home she was given an anxiety medication to help her calm down and to help her deal with the coughing. She would cough so much she would get out of breath and then couldnt get enough air in. At one point she was in ICU for respiratory distress. We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he just loves his basset sister! He is always trying to love her and make her feel beter and they sleep together all the time. My daughter made a sign over their pet bed that says King Monroe and Queen Zoey sleeps here!

Anyway, thanks for the info. I appreciate it!!
Thanks for all the info cat, unfortunately
it is snowing here and the entire sky is gray. I doubt we will get to see anything but we are certainly going to try.

Thanks for the info sm

I think my husband could probably change those too, but $100 each bearing, and it's happened several times to you, that would get really aggravating.  I'm considering a different vehicle, possibly.  I like my car alot, but if this is something that could be ongoing, i don't want the headache.  we have a 1994 dodge dakota that we bought brand new and he maintains it and we never have problems with it.  i just think some of this new technology on the cars isn't so great.

thanks for your info!  it helps to know what other people have done.  there is a website i found topix.com that have a whole bunch of people on there that have had this problem and some of them said what they did to help the problem.

thanks for info sm

i don't even have credit cards to some of these accounts that are open.  i think i will end up closing some of them.  i think there are at least 10 or so of these credit card accounts that are open on my credit report that i don't use at all and haven't used for many years.

First, her name is Dixie Lucille...she's precious!

Second, I am in no way expecting her to be fully potty trained by now, my thing is she poops in her kennel, then gets it all over herself. She goes out at least every hour on the hour.  She eats at 7, 12, and 5 every day, then goes out to potty, walk, etc. We did not get her from a *breeder* per se, a neighbor had pups so we got one from her. She was kept outside when she was with her family.

We do the whole praise and treat thing when she goes outside. We play with her, we walk her regularly...I am a bit impatient by nature, guess that's something I need to work on.

Anyway, thanks for all the advice. I'm not ready to give her up yet. Our 9 YOS loves her, which is a HUGE accomplishment for him, as he has always been afraid of dogs, but like me, fell in love with her when we saw her.  My DH always wanted a Basset, so held out until he found one. She's a sweetie and I know her accidents are not her fault...I just hate cleaning up the mess and having to wash her off again and again.  I'll keep y'all posted on her (and my) progress!

Where do you go for this info?
I have been doing research and I found my grandfather's family that I had been told we all deceased, but I have a really hard time finding information. WOuld you mind sharing what resources you use to find things? I would really like to research more but I end up frustrated that I can't find anything. They always tell me there's stuff but then they want more and more money and I don't know how to research without spending a pretty nickel.
Thanks for the info.
I heard the unplug thing on the radio, several times. It wasn't just a talk show but like a public service announcement format so I thought it was legit. They didn't say anything about lights on the appliance but that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. :)
Thanks. I got info from 2
credit companies but I must have answered wrong on another as it told me it was going to mail me something.  My take was that it did not believe I was who I was.  Anyway, I have 3 negs.  Unfortunately the oldest won't drop off until 2010.   Seems like a lifetime away.  Also, 2003, when it happened seems like a lifetime ago.  LOL.  I have never had any foreclosures, repos, bankrupsies,  just payments over 30 days late.  I kind of worry now if I would ever be able to buy a car or house with that.  I don't plan on financing anything right now but maybe in the future.  I don't know my credit score as it said I had to pay for that.
