I told him today to think about how many young people not much older than him if any were over there in Iraq.  I said that may make it make a little easier to realize that he is a few hours away from his girlfriend to think of what his life could be like.  I know he is in love and all, but life goes on and wrapping yourself up in all this drama does not make things any easier.  I told him that life is not going to end if he has to go to class and not talk to her in the middle of it or if he doesn't see her for two or three weeks at a time.  In the scheme of life, these are not big things.

I hope all goes well with your boys too!
