Vet is best. Have had PLENTY of cats (16 right now) over the past 40 years. Sounds like Tinkerbell has tape worms and those little white things are tape worm eggs. I have never found anything OTC that does the job nearly as well as vet stuff does. Tapes come from swallowed fleas while your little darling is cleaning herself, so she will have to be de-flea'ed on a regular basis if you expect to hold off these nasty little buggers.
