Backstabbing in the girls bathroom. It has been a long time, but I recognize it when I hear it.

Tell her you'll 'look around for something, but at this late date you don't know if you'll find anything.' Then WEAR the red dress. Totally do your hair and makeup, and you're gonna look SMASHING. Go ahead and look better than the bride. Serves her right for being so snotty.
And oh, yeah - 'Guest Book Monitor' - BLEAH. The first wedding I ever went to was my best junior high friend's wedding. But I guess I was no longer even a 'good' friend in high school or jr. college, 'cause at her wedding I was left out of the wedding party and told I had to be in charge of the guest book.
I stood by it in the church, and that allowed me to have my preferred seating.... way in the back of the church! Then at the reception, there was that danged book again, and her mom telling me I had to make sure EVERYONE signed it. Well, I lasted maybe 5 minutes, until I smelled food. After that, I left the book to it's own fate, and went in to the reception and ate to my heart's content. As soon as the cake had been cut, I got one of the first pieces. I'd been seated at a table with a bunch of older people I didn't know at all and had nothing to talk about with. Never did see my friend all day, other than walking down the aisle! So, I developed an 'upset stomach' and left early so I could go home and go for a nice long, QUIET bike ride. Didn't say goodbye to anyone. And I never signed the Guest Book, either.
You know, I wasn't going to answer your snotty post
but you're attitude is kinda pissing me off. You don't know me, you don't know my daughter and you have no idea how we live, so I would appreciate it if you could keep your judgemental comments to yourself. It's so easy to act high and mighty on an anonymous board, isn't it?

FYI, godly people pray because that is what God wants them to do (including before meals). It is not to impress you others. and if you don't want to see it -- its pretty simple -- don't look! There are many Christians getting quite tired of you others trying to force your ways (or lack thereof) upon us. You don't want to see someone pray, don't want a Bible on their desk. Is it also offensive to see someone wear a cross around their neck? I guess pretty soon, we'll have to be meeting secretly because it offends some of you to see cars in front of a church building huh?

The LeapFrog Tag thingy. I saw them at Wal-Mart and it looks like certain books work with it. I saw the advertisement and thought it was neat until that crazy man in the lizard costume or whatever it is insinuated that books are boring unless they can be used by that talking pen. I cannot figure out how that thing helps kids learn to read as it says it does. It looks to me like that pen reads for them. My 6-year-old is in first grade and they are trying to teach her to read by phonics. So when she and I read together whenever she stumbles across a word I have her try to look at it and sound it out before I will give her an answer and most of the time she can. I think I am just frustrated by that whole industry now anyway because I have had salespeople come to my door basically telling me that my kid is going to be a dumbazz if I don't buy their expensive junk....all the other kids have it and mine will be left out in the cold. I guess I am not giving those electronics a chance. I cannot see what they can do for my child that I cannot.

The generation raising them, apparently. Kids today are treated like little princes and princesses. I don't know when children became things of worship but they have. And this time out and talking to the child it such crap, when most just need a good smack now and again. Hey it worked for us. When I was growing up we kids were not disrepectful and we didn't think the world owed us something and we grew up to be decent people. We were afraid of our parents in a way and it helped us to be decent kids. I don't remember being worshipped by my parents. So, I just can't imagine this world in say 20-30 years, how scary.
I agree with that along with loud obnoxious ring tones.
I got two different types of ivy--sm
and some white flowering plants that look like white jasmine, but I don't think they are. They are combined in a planter with some blue colored plants that look like baby's breath, but are not. (I don't know plants well), and some red coleus.
I had thought about putting just the planters inside the box too, but the box is too deep and they would have to stand on something else inside. I would rather just add the dirt so their roots have room to grow.

Types of headphones
What types of headphones are you all using? Has anyone tried the noise-cancelling headphones or the transcription gear insight headphones? If so, how do they rate? I transcribed for seven years and used the Lanier brand and liked them. I've been a respiratory therapist for the past 5 years and am now getting back into transcription, so I'm looking for decent pair of headphones to work from home. Thanks for the help.
I have learned that in these types
of situations, it is impossible to get all the information you need to figure out exactly what is going on. Too many people gossip and pass on bad information.
On the other hand, maybe I am missing something, but it sounds like you are saying that your son broke up with this girl because he couldn't be alone with her. If that is what you mean, then I can see why she would be upset and hurt. That would look like he tossed her aside because of what he was not getting.
Spitz types
Even though they have long hair, spitz type dogs are often better for people with allergies than an oily coated breed like a lab. He's really going to have to meet the dog and see if he reacts to it.

My husband does the same types of things
He does almost all of the cooking (he is a much better cook than me), helps me clean, and does ALL of the grocery shopping! He also helps me with the laundry and makes me coffee every morning. Since he works outside of the house and I work from home, he usually goes grocery shopping on his way to work. I mean, he even does "tampon runs" for me! LOL! I feel so lucky!

who think everyone owes them something. Like the money for any of this comes out of their pockets.
I guess the government should implement a "change of life circumstances" form so we have to have approval from these people before something bad happens in our lives. They have such attitudes, don't they?
These are the type of people who carry their attitudes into their jobs and cause other people problems.

It should not matter who types it - as an MT we are bound
by rules and regulation, HIPPA, etc. If I ended up typing their report I would not tell anyone (not even DH) because that is against rules (maybe they are my own, but if word leaked out that I typed their reports it would be by my own mouth). Besides...I don't think the press can find out the name of the Transcriptionist who types the reports. If so, then it would be because the supervisor gave them your name and then she/he could get in trouble. There are just some things nobody should know, and even though they are Hollywood legends their bodies function the same way ours do and they are no different than Sam, Joe, Judy or Bob when typing a report for them.

On animal planet they were featuring types of SM
animals and snakes, etc. with two heads. I know in some cultuers these animals are felt to be holy and a gift from God. I felt sorry for them when I saw them.

I'm sure a lot of people at the hospital are selling these types of stories
to the tabloid shows and the tabloids. Unfortunately, stories like this sell. Yes, whoever the source is should be fired.

Please, actually GO to www.snopes.com and read what they have to say about this negative e-email that has been circulating for months now. Right there at snopes, they debunk/clarify all of these mean-spirited accusations.
Specifically about it being factual and verified by snopes, it is NOT verified by them. Below I copied one paragraph from snopes.com but please go there read it in full so that you can hopefully choose not to pass on this Internet e-mail full of misinformation.

Me again - Even if you do not care for Barack Obama, surely you do not wish to pass on lies or misinformation and engage in or extend the negative campaigning we all hope to NOT see much of... at least, I hope this is true, especially of people who talk about being Christian.
At least open your mind enough to read what Obama has to say about all of this misinformation. Between snopes.com and his own website, then make a decision whether or not to engage in actively passing on misinformation. Snopes is a great place to verify information that comes to all of us in these emails.
