Also - Talking to his parents would be of no benefit (sm
His parents do not know how to handle him. Calling their son names and telling him that his heart is dark are just making things worse. He might get punished more or yelled at more or cursed at more....that's really gonna help, right? He doesn't need military school or for anyone to beat the meanness out of him. I am not a parent who believes in not disciplining their children....I believe in disciplining appropriately though. If you have witnessed and heard for yourself the things that his parents have said to him, what do you think they must say to him when no one else can hear? Also, often boys who are large for their age get treated so much more harshly by everyone around them.....suppose he was a teeny tiny little 14-year-old saying the same types of things....would you react exactly the same to him?? Because his mentality is the same as that teeny tiny 14-year-old, just in a bigger body.
You collect widow's benefit's at age 50, not 60, unless you have a child
under 16. I had to stop my benefits for one year and then got them back when I turned 50.
In your opinion, is there a benefit to forcing children to
My son is at camp for a week. Last night was family night. He cried and begged me to take him home but my husband and his leaders refused and said it would be a big mistake. My husband was an Eagle scout and doesn't want to let this go, but my son hates scouting, hates the weekly meetings, the monthly campouts and is miserable. The places they were sleeping were these three sided buildings with open fronts. They were full of bugs, spiders, bees, etc. They did not have a campfire to scare any critters away. They have see stray cats, racoons, etc. But my son's main issue is having to sleep where there are huge spiders and bees crawling in. He wasn't the only one. About half the other boys there in his room (of about 8) cry themselves to sleep every night. They are not homesick like we are told, they are miserable. I don't want to be the over-reacting mother, and if there really is value in my son doing this, then fine. But I don't see it.
Vote for Hans and benefit Siberian rescue
...Southern Siberian Rescue may win $5,000 in free food from ProPlan. http://www.rallytorescue.com/more_for_pets_voting.aspx Please crosspost and pass this email to any and everyone you know as well!!! I attach a flyer in the event you would like to post at your vets office, your work, local pet stores or anywhere you deem appropriate. :-)
Some of you may remember Hans, the 8 y/o boy we pulled out of Franklin County, NC in August of 2006. He was beat up pretty bad with infected holes in his head and face, teeth hanging horizontally in his mouth, fractured jaw, emaciated, heartworm positive, etc. etc. We did an ebay Auction to raise monies for his medical treatment. Well, Hans was adopted in March to a wonderful couple in Raleigh with a 7 y/o silver and white female Siberian. They just adore him and he is the perfect fit for their family.
We are signed up with ProPlan's Rally to Rescue Program and in February they asked the Ambassadors to submit up to two stories on our rescued pets for their Doing More for Rescued Pets Contest. We submitted Hans' story and they selected him as one of the top 10 finalists. YIPPEE. As a top 10, Southern Siberian Rescue and Hans's adopters win a year of free food for one pet and a 3 day/2 night trip to CA in October for the Rally to Rescue
Ambassador Party, where they will announce the winning pet. They have listed the finalists at http://www.rallytorescue.com/more_for_pets_voting.aspx and voting will go through September 30. Please take a moment and vote for Hans. It only takes a second and costs you nothing. :-) You can submit one vote per email address so if you have multiple email addresses, please vote under each one. The winning pet/rescue will receive $5,000 of free
food and we could really use that food. If you would like to see his transformation pictures you can go to www.southernsiberian.com and his personal website and full story can be seen at http://www.southernsiberian.com/foster_dogs__hans.html.
What a great journey for Hans. It's a true rags to riches story. I can't believe he's a star and going to CA!!!!! He is also a TV star now too as NBC 17 did a story on him June 22. It was a fantastic story. What a great adventure for a boy that had such a rough start.
Thanks.

Yeah that's my fear. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but (sm)
I don't want to be a dummy either
A spouse can collect widow benefits at age 60, but the benefit is reduced 21% because you took it ea
So, if his benefit is $1000, you would get $790. If you take you retirement at 62, you can keep the widow benefit, or your benefit, whichever is larger. It's worth taking it early because $790 x 24 months (the difference between age 60 and 62) is almost $19,000. My tax lawyer says always take it early.
Dairy Queen Blizzards purchased today will benefit the Children's Miracle Network, so

No excuse
It is completely rude, but there isn't much else you can do. You can, however, choose a consistant pickup time yourself and let her know what that is. I have done that which creates a big inconvenience to them instead of you. :)
Excuse me?
I have a teenage daughter and I resent the implication that they are all sex-crazed nymphos. At least, that's the way I took your post. Generalizations like the one you just made are offensive.
ExCUSE me?????? sm
Would this be a little sexual harrassment? How terrible for your daughter!! You don't have a choice, you HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. Poor girl, she's so sensitive anyway!!!!! No you are NOT overeacting. Go STRAIGHT TO THE SCHOOL WITH THIS ONE . . .
No excuse for this
The only human thing doesn't cut it. I have worked in hospitals for many years, observed nurses and MDs in action. When administering drugs, there is no excuse for massively overdosing newborns with Heparin. The nurse was probably talking her head off to somebody, had her mind on 10 different things instead of what she should have been doing - passing meds.
If she was tired, then she should not have passed meds or should have had somebody help her to doublecheck herself.
I hope they sue the pants off that nurse and the hospital, too.
EXCUSE ME???
I was correcting MY error...you need to calm down, sister...I would never, ever correct anyone else's mistake, only my own. I made a mistake, I CORRECTED MY MISTAKE. can't you read??????? So freakin' rude, grow up will ya!
Excuse me! sm
Lining my pockets? Are you serious? This is for my daughter, not me. I have plenty of money and don't need their money. We make over $100,000 a year. My daughter is the one who suffered and is continuing to suffer. What would you do if your daughter was traumatized like this?
I think you have a lot of nerve!!!
excuse
all my typo. It has already been a long day. That is why I am on the forum. I needed a break.
Excuse me, but....(sm)
...we certainly do hear of women who are cruel to animals. Just Google "woman charged with cruelty to animals" and you'll get plenty of hits.
I wonder, as a man, if I could get away with posting a sexist slur like yours about women? I doubt it!
Yes, but their rudeness does not excuse your own
You should always respond to an invitation, even if no RVSP, but most definitely if there is one.
Excuse, did not speak about yours
you must have been trying to read between the lines and never said anything about your dear one. You imaged.
Please excuse my ignorance sm
but do any of these have natural herbs that could counter-act birth control pills? I know that St. John's Wart can counter-affect BCP. I have a terrible problem with insomnia, seemingly inhierted from both parents, but they didn't have it until early 40s. I am 39 and have had problems for well over 10 years. Thanks!
Excuse the typos-been
a long day of typing!
Excuse, then, thought just yours but
i would have told her in that situation you thought just you and the combined kids, husband not going and you want to wait until it would be just you 2 adults so you could catch up on some girl talk- actually if me I would not even put in the girl talk but I know some people not out there like me. I would just tell her sorry, want to go when we girls can spend some time together. If invited somewhere, anyone knows you just don’t make arrangements for a third party to come along- unless you ask first if ok.
I'm sorry but that is the classic excuse
when caught with contraband. He is probably just experimenting at this point but you want to nip that in the bud. He needs to really see what the effects of that will be and that he may think he can stop at any time but the problem is he won't know that he can't stop until it has already happened. I've always felt that stressing the inside damage they are doing to themselves is important but with a teenager looks are really what they care about- try stressing how unattractive and smelly they make a person, where girls that might be interested would pass because of the smoking.
Gee whiz, everyone please excuse me
now while I play with my new puppy for a few hours, buff my toenails, eat some bonbons, put in a few lines of work to include many gross errors while I do so, come back here and read posts for a couple of houres, moan and whine a little, and then spend a couple of hours whining and moaning some more about my DH and sorry life before he comes home from slaving all day to provide me the life of luxury to which I am accustomed and entitled. Hope you have a good day, too, Misha... enjoy your new pup!
Excuse me, you are not saying I slammed anyone, are you?

Excuse the typos sm
Oh boy, just read my post, up late last night watching Super Bowl, Pats fan here. I never heard of Bunco before, thanks for explaining. Women, don't understand why they can't be loyal, staying to myself.
Excuse me. I have a question.
Does this "you do not EVER write off an older family member" edict of yours also include those family members who are relentlessly verbally or physically abusive, unapologetic, unrepentent, constantly undermine you, belittle your children, alcoholics, drug addicts and so on? Maybe you should think that over again. Not all of us live in ivory towers.
Sounds like an excuse to me -nm

Use the economy as an excuse
How about using the economy as an excuse? You could phrase it that you don't want her to spend her money or something like that. She may seem to enjoy it, but she might jump at the chance to cut one thing out of a crazy shopping season.
Good luck. My family and I stopped exchanging gifts years ago. None of my brothers or sisters have kids and we all decided that we were broke and stressed and just didn't need to do it. It's made Chrismtas much more relaxing. We just get together for a nice dinner and have a good time.
give an excuse and
Half my relatives I have to sleep with one eye open.
Excuse me? I think this is getting kind
of weird, if not sick! This borders already on masturbation!
Can you please explain to me how a woman pregnant in her 9th month can reach her perineum with her hands and massage it for 10 minutes?
It is even advised that the spouse does this as foreplay to intercourse. Please spare me with your links!
This is pathetic!
I think it is better if we stop this discussion right here!
Get over yourself!
I meant country...excuse me!
And I am sorry, but it is Christians (meaning belivers in Christ, ok...)losing our freedom of speech. Just think about it, anything and everything is ok to be discussed on TV, in books, on the radio (you know what I'm talkin' bout too), but mention the word *God* *Jesus* or even anything pertaining to the church, and whoa...no no...don't do that, it might offend someone. Well I'm sorry, but sexual exploitation of women and children happens to offend ME...yet it's all over TV...homosexuality is a sin, yet it's all over TV... I won't go on because I think you're intelligent enough to see my point. Anyhow, MERRY CHRISTMAS...HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!
Please excuse the typing errors...
All I have heard today is "The patient had a giberishgiberish condition that includded gibberish, cough, hack, sneeze gibberish." You get the point.
Pls excuse all the typos, it's been a long day! -nm

EXCUSE ME....ignorant minority???
May I remind you that Roe V Wade was the product of a handful of activist judges?? ANYwhere wholesale abortion has been on a ticket for all of US out here to vote on, it was defeated. They tried first to make it a "state" issue, and it was voted down. So activist judges overturned the will of the people and now we have abortion on demand. So PLEASE do not insinuate that the majority of people would vote FOR abortion, because you are VERY MUCH mistaken.
Just tired of people having every excuse why nothing is their
asdf
that's kind of a poor excuse (sm)
Just because they don't come to you doesn't mean you can't go to them.
whoops, excuse those mistakes in there sm
I'm in a hurry
Excuse me, what is wrong with the word
Much better than a lot of words I coulda said...my point was exactly what another poster said...kids have a way overinflated sense of entitlement and no matter how they were approached, they would have acted the same. What was the OP supposed to do??? *Um, would you kindly exit the property?* *Um, I know you are nice, respectful children, so I'm sure you won't mind putting out the smokes, cleaning up the language, and getting outta here?* Which one? Either way, she'd have lost...which is why, if it would have been me, I'd of picked them up and thrown them out...and yes, my children are very respectful to their elders and everyone else. I am always complimented on how well behaved my children are, thank you! ..this isn't a frowny face...it's a disgusted with the whole thing face...
Excuse me, I speak Jive.
I would love to see a clip of that part again!
He is old-fashioned, and that isn't necessarily an excuse
I am a Pastor's wife. Well, that will probably tell you volumes in itself. He is right-wing Lutheran, and I come from a moderate Lutheran background. Well, needless to say I know what you are going through except I am supposed to set an example to the ladies at church that the man is the leader of the house and we are not to publicly or privately question his decision, because that is the Biblical way. Well, sinner or not, I think this leads to men thinking they are always right, we are not their equal, we have no say, and it becomes a control issue. So... my heart is with you. I have yet to figure out this patriarchal thing. Believe me, I have voiced many times that I am good at some things, he other things and in discipline with children, we are equal not one better than the other. I think men are supposed to act responsibly not controlling and this is where the confusion comes in. When they refuse our opinion or disrespect us, I feel they are not living up to their role as protector and are acting like babies. But then again, they say I am a Pastor's wife who needs to go to Pastor's wife school, because my opinions are for equality and I have zero tolerance for domestic abuse. I am sorry if this does not answer your question or help you, but I do want to say I sympathize and you are not incorrect. There is no reason for a man to be controlling or to be rude, senseless and overbearing. When I figure out the answer to my situation I'll let you know. All I can say is to this day publicly and at home I stick up for equality, and I do not accept abusive male behavior and I don't care who doesn't like it. Zero tolerance from me. Leads to a tense household, but it could be worse, dishonesty is absolutely worse. Sorry for the soap box. Please hang in there and keep yourself safe and happy. :)
Being aware of it doesn't mean they would excuse it...SM
Especially with the bee in the bonnet that was obvious based on the follow-up post by OP. There ARE teachers and administrators who go on power trips.
excuse my lack of knowledge, but
I thought medicinal marijuana was legalized in CA some time ago. What a horrible situation, this calls for an uprising, let the power of the people be heard. That is exactly why this stuff is going on - we let it.
Excuse me very much, but it is a know n fact that Americans
have the hardest time to learn foreign languages and if they learn, they speak it with a very strong accent.
Excuse me...a little medical knowledge..sm

Excuse me...didn't he say I thought you were pretty?!?
I think that was where he screwed up. Would a woman have said that? I think not. Sounds to me like he was not only acting but thinking inappropriately ;)
Sorry, I wasn't posting to you. Excuse the mistake.
