Ready to celebrate. I wrote here some time ago about a problem with a CPA cousin. My father died and he put in writing and also told the people where he worked any money coming from there should come to me. When I got the money it had to be made out to estate of .......My cousin who supposedly was taking care of my father's last bill, etc. told me I could not cash the checks (duh) and to send to him for putting in estate money. I asked him to pay off father's last owed bill out of the money (he never did this 3 years ago now) and did not probate my father's will (said not enough there left after most all spent). I wrote a letter to cousin finally last year and said I wanted this back, next of kin, basically belonged to me. Ignored, another letter, ignored and finally asked on here who to contact for the head of CPAs and a person told me. Thanks to you, contacted the officials and after giving my cousin a deadline and telling him I had contacted the people over him, he finally sent me a check on the very last day of the deadline I gave him!! Now I wonder with him doing family like this, who else has he jipped?
VA tech shooting
OMG who absolutely awful. God help those poor families in their grief. So far 22 dead and 21 wounded as well as the gunman. What on earth possesses people to do atrocities like this? I just cannot fathom the effect this will have on the families. And to think I have a son going away to college in the fall......

Just a little clue, Hemingway is an AMERICAN author. As to one of your other non-scoring points, my ancestry is also European, British as a matter of fact. Despite that, I go to the bathroom, not the loo, put gas in my car nor petrol, and put groceries in the trunk and not the boot, point being that ancestry doesn't have a lot to do with what we speak. Go back and read your own previous post; it points out that stupider is a slang word, as opposed to proper English. If you need me to explain slang, just let me know.

shooting crack in the livingroom
I responded to this post and thought about it again this afternoon and it's really kind of funny how seriously we, me included, take some of these things. It is important, but not so serious, just so typical. It's not like she was shooting crack in the livingroom, or huffing/snuffing/snorting whatever is done with it. As far as I can tell we have not heard back from the original and I wonder what finally happened.
