A beautiful picture and a beautiful message. s/m
Here's wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!  We truly do have a lot to be thankful for.
I have a twin.
My husband still can't read my mind like that sister can, LOL.

You could be my twin
I have the EXACT same issue as you!!!! My male cat Gus has urinated on my bedroom carpet in the same area over and over. I tried the pet odor cleaner from Petco called Naturals Miracle. It's actually a skunk odor cleaner, but it really worked for us. Also, there is something else you can buy at Petco that you can spray on the area that will detract your cat from urinating in that area again; probably would be in the same section as the skunk odor cleaner. I know exactly how you feel; it's driving me nuts. He's done it in other places too and it is the most offensive odor of all. My vet told me to change his food to one for urinary health and if that doesn't work then have him tested for an infection. I don't think he has an infection; I think he is just a big ol' pain in the butt that does what he wants.

Anyway, try it out; good luck and let me know how you make out!!!!
You have got to be my twin.
Everything you said is me. (except the bread winning part). Mine doesn't work and has been saying now for I don't know how many years he is going to get a job. But of course, this happens, that happens, blah, blah, blah. Think he's going through mid life phase right now. But he drives me absolutely NUTS!!!!

I'm 48, been married 26 years and every day I say to myself I WOULD be better on my own. We have no kids, own no house or property and the man can't figure out what he want to do. This is not the same man I married and I don't know what happened to him. There are so many times where I wish I would just keel over just to serve him right. HA HA. I always think...if I keeled over right now that would be just fine by me because I would be with the people I love who have gone on ahead and me, then he can do all the stuff I do and it would serve him right. HA HA

One thing for definite is if anything ever happened to him I would never, and I repeat NEVER, ever ever ever marry again. And if I did I think I would choose to share my life with another woman. Men! I've had it. They don't sit and listen, they try to interject how they think you should feel. I've spent 26 years hearing "you need to think about this the way I do". At least all my woman friends understand the ups and downs going on. This man doesn't even understand the simple concept of "when I am having a PMS attack please leave me by myself". No, instead he has to pick and pick at me and push and push. Then when I get me he lays into me and tells me I need to "deal".

I think society creates a life that everyone buys into. My mom always told me you go to school, graduate, get a job, get married, have kids, have grandkids and that's the way life is suppose to be. Everything I see in the news is pushing the idea that you have to have a man to be happy. I just say "oh quite contraire" (ok, could you hear my french accent there). HA HA. I really think that to be really truly happy in life you need to learn to know yourself, know what you want in life and take care of yourself before giving yourself to someone else (whether it be the opposite or same sex).
Are you my twin Tinks? lol

All of my joints pop especially during hanky panky (blush, blush), including hips, shoulders, neck, back.  It is kinda' creepy, but hubby says makes for good flexibility.  LOL  I pop my fingers all the time and always have even as a child.  They don't look bigger, but they do stiffen up especially in the cold.  I just run them under hot water, seems to help.  I can make my right ankle (foot pedal ankle) pop at any given time?  I'm going to wind up with my fingers all crinkled up aren't I?  lol  My Dad always said I was double-jointed!  Is that a true condition?

My husband has a twin!!!???
I ended up painting my room a dark olive color with burgundy curtains and heavy wood blinds. You might consider theater black out panels or black out canvas. I have seen these at wal-mart. Material are often used in hotel/motel rooms to block light. Since you don't want creeping in through edges you might consider velcro-ing panel around inside window frame so it is removable, or attaching rings to use like roman shades.

ABC distributing as some, fairly reasonable. http://www.abcdistributing.com/home/catalog/cat_item_pg.asp?G=350&P=25 If all else fails get him an eye mask.
does he have a twin; can I clone him?
nm
You must be my twin because you just wrote
everything about me to a T!!! I've been in a quandry for quite some time about what I should do.
lol I think I found my twin!
Same philosophy in my household. Don't think it doesn't take a lot of work and a few "episodes" to prove the point. My husband and son like to play those games every once in a while but I toss them right back and now it is to the point where we don't even have to discuss it. They get the message through actions loud and clear.

My favorite is when hubs does laundry and leaves all my clothes on the corner of the bed. Hahaha! First, folding is the hardest part...second, I have no problem doing only my laundry and no one else's. What's funny is it takes him a bit to catch on, usually when he runs out of underwear! lol What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Not to mention the kids too. At the age of 9 my son started doing his own laundry. Didn't like it at the start but now its just a normal weekly thing...and the best part I don't get those "but it's not clean and I need to wear it TODAY!" :)
Oh, my gosh, it's my kitty's twin!!! sm
your cat look's just like my
Pumpkinkitty!!!
I married my twin sister's boyfriend
:)
The Shining. When those twin girls show up and I'm watching it alone,
xx
Well, I had to send my twin 3-year-olds to a school.
They are there all day long and I work all day. Paying for the daycare and making more money is about equal to when I worked at home with them in my way, only I am more sane for it and they are learning great social skills. I would really consider changing your hours and putting them in school/daycare/learning center, even if just for a few hours a day. It does help.

Like I said, I feel for you. I have twin 3-year-olds, and I swear they seem worse than when they were 2! LOL!
Hes gorgeous!!!!
and it looks like he feels really at home in his new home.

On another note, watched a bit of the "animal talent show" on Animal Planet earlier today (caught the tail end of it -- no pun intended), but they had a dog on there who would literally hop on the door of a running dryer and retrieve tennis balls -- blew my mind!!!
WOW!!! That is gorgeous. nm
nm
Up. Fake but gorgeous! lol (we think so at least!)
nm
My Stars! He is GORGEOUS! sm
wow! I would snap him up in a minute! I cannot imagine anyone putting that beautiful dog up for adoption, but you are so lucky! If your DH is not into showing, perhaps putting out for stud? there is money in that too, and he would make some beautiful puppies!!! I cannot imagine your other dog rejecting him, but maybe more than one visit would be a good idea. Good luck to you! ks
He's *gorgeous* with a pedigree to die for. sm

I'm jealous!  ;o)  BTW, the win he had under judge Kathleen Kanzler (Innisfree Siberians) is very impressive.   She and her daughters are very well known and respected in Siberians.  It was her dog that won Best of Show at Westminster (in 1984, I think it was).  Try not to get bitten by the show bug.    It's a whole other world.

I hope Sasha likes him so he can live with you!

She is just gorgeous. You can see the gentleness in her!!! NM

As I said - they are gorgeous creatures
I watched one eat a mourning dove but usually try not to watch.  They pluck and leave a great pile of feathers.  Great Horned Owls can get cats - in case you have one - but their favorite food is skunks - a bird of prey expert told me that the white stripe makes a good landing strip at night!!  I too keep the camera close by, got a couple, but usually by the time I get focused he has moved on.
What a gorgeous horse!! sm
I am sure he is just as happy where he is now as he was with you! You saved his life once and he won't forget that! Bless you both!
your baby is gorgeous!!!! sm

I have three bassets, 12, 11 and 8 years old.  I love my dogs!  I'm a huge animal lover, they are like my kids.  Bassets are very stubborn.  It took a while to train our first basset.  Our second basset (Lucy) we got when Flash was 1 year old.  Lucy wasn't as hard to train as Flash was.  Our third basset I got when he was about 5 years old.  He was used to being outside, and he wasn't hard to train either.  I'd giver her some time.  They are such loyal dogs!!!  Great with kids too.

I think she is gorgeous...congratulations!
:)
Weather was just too gorgeous today.
I went outside in a sleeveless shirt to decide how to dress to walk the dogs, and ended up tidying up the yard instead! Won't my neighbors be relieved, LOL.

Yes, the dogs eventually got their walk, but first I fed them. Sasha decided not to eat tonight ... until I explained that we'd go for a walk only after she ate. She ate it right up and then did her time-for-my-walk dance!

Hope this weather makes it up north soon.
Gorgeous kitty! Will pray it all goes well! :) nm

FRED is gorgeous!!!!! Thanks 4 sharing...nm

GORGEOUS pet-collars! Check this out.... -sm

To all of you pet-lovers out there:

I've seen lots of websites offering fancy dog and cat collars, but nothing like this one!  There are pages and pages of lovely sparkly rhinestone collars.... it took me forever to finally choose one for my new little princess-kitty!

If your pampered pet could use a little "bling", you'll love this site!

They are gorgeous, and he is just too adorable for words!!! NM

What a gorgeous colt! From your description - sm
of his temperament, and liking to do 'interesting' things, I'll bet he'd made a great police horse, or be fantastic in trail-horse competition at shows! (Not to mention excellent for actual trail-riding!) What a cutie!

I've had horses in the past; my last one, a dark brown thoroughbred, was a Hunter/Jumper. I got him when he was just 3 years old & unbroke, and he finally died at age 25. Can't afford them anymore (live in an apt., so have to board...) but I do miss it!
niece
Oh yeah, she may be mad at you now but just look at it this way in the future she will look back and be very thankful that you stepped in! Don't let yourself be talked into not mentioning it and keeping quite. This could end up being her life you are talking about here!
One niece was an MT
for a physical therapy place until it went out of business. She was making a lot of money but only knows physical therapy stuff. Two other nieces have talked to me about it, but one is not motivated enough to work at home unsupervised. The other niece recently had to quit her job in graphic design to stay home with her 1 year old son who has been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes.
I wish my niece could know you
She needs to develop a backbone and realize there is life after a "control freak", abusive, alcoholic, drug dependent jerk!!!! You go, girl - so glad you found a millionaire - Does he have a brother between 48-55? I never know when my circumstances may change. Love my husband, but you never know - he's lots older than me - I have to be prepared, ya know? Next time, I want nice, fun and definitely rich, so I can do this job only if I want to, not to pay the bills.
my niece
You can tell them not to be like my niece who is going to be 14 in about a week. She is a young lady now. She does not bathe, brush her hair, wear deodorant, or brush her teeth. She has now gotten over 13 cavities and will be spending the next sets of mondays at the dentist getting teeth fixed. She also has terrible gum disease. I have tried talks but she is not my child. She does not live with me so it is hard for her to listen to her mother. Her mother really isn't much better. Instead of washing clothes, when she was younger, she would just take her to a thrift store and buy whatever they had. Tight clothes, too small, too big or whatever. Tell them they don't want to be the stinky kid with dirty clothes, hair, teeth that are crusty and bleeding, with clothes on like that. We now call it "don't be a morgan" to my 12 year old who does not want to brush his teeth or retainer, mostly because he does not rinse the retainer off enough and it tastes funny. HA.
your niece
What a GORGEOUS baby!!
You certainly are blessed, and your sister is blessed to have a sister as kind-hearted as you to have come stay with her!

Merry, merry Christmas!
My niece
the love of my life! doing this right here! holding her as much as I can!!!

PS i understand about your cat though... before i moved closer to be with my niece, my dogs would always make me happy
yeah but...Mexico is gorgeous. Hey, I went to Cancun. I look at sm
it this way: If more of us were to vacation and spend our money there enjoying their gorgeous wild life and pretty beaches, that would give them plenty of tourist money and they wouldn't have to leave their country! I respect those hard-working Mexicans who stay in Mexico (like the ones who courted us at the resort), and I support the likes of them. They work hard, stay in their country, and I will give them good tips and help them to help their families as I enjoy snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and great food.

I wouldn't put all Mexicans into a box and say that you wouldn't give them a dime. Yes, there are illegals here who have no morals and I certainly don't support them! But, like I said, I do support those hard-working ones who are staying in their own country. I don't see a problem in that.
These are gorgeous! Now what to pick for my chipmunk-chasing

Gorgeous night walk in the snow.....
Walked the dog last night around 8 pm. There are about 12" of snow on the ground, covering the pines, the roof tops, and blanketing the side street where I live. It was breath-taking, which might have been due to it being 23 degrees, but more so because the sky was inky black with a few clouds here and there, and the stars were so bright. The tress without their leaves were silver, contrasting against the black sky, stars twinkling through their branches. The pines were still bent with the weight of snow and snow-covered Christmas lights on the trees glowed dimly. My footsteps crunching on the packed snow was the only sound heard, with the occasional snorting pig imitation my moronic dog does when snow gets up her nose from sniffing too strongly.

I hate having to dress like Nanook of the North and looking like the Michelin Tire Man, but walks in the night like that make me forget about the insanity I endure M-F, at least for a little while.

Technically it is still fall, this is Maine, so I might have a different take on the snow come March.

Lucky, you! I am sorry I got the spelling of this gorgeous breed SM

wrong. I study dog breeds, know every one in the dog shows, etc. and then made that fo-pa.  Not intentional, I assure you.  They had the Pembroke and Cardigan. You would have loved it.

Yes. You must make a point to see this next year. It is so adorable and a change of pace for those of us who don't watch the football game. They have them on what looks like a football field with lots of toys and they are all running around, and they play a sound track in the bakground that sounds like fans cherring in the crowd!

My sister and niece
are really cat people, too. They are really funny. My sister used to have one, Luke, a big black cat wearing a texedo, who would every year without fail stalk a wooden Christmas elf we set out, glare at it for a minute or two, then take that giant paw and give a big swipe and knock it to the floor. Every year, same elf, same reaction. What a gem! We laughed til we cried! Thanks again. I am meeting a friend tonight for dinner, and her two cats are the love of her life!
Need advice on niece

My sister has a daughter, 7, with some behavioral and speech problems.  In school today the teacher asked her to "hurry up" and my niece grumbled and gave a look.  Apparently, on the bus she told her classmates that she was going to "put a bomb in Miss _____'s milk."  Those students in turn told the teacher.  Teacher responded by telling niece it was inappropriate and that she was spending time with the principal tomorrow.  My sister is at a loss on how to approach my niece about this.  She is kinda of jaded when it comes to this particular daughter, thinking she's just fine, but this niece has always been violent.  How should she approach her daughter (in 1st grade) in this situation?

TIA!

How often do you see your niece/nephews

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law moved back to this state recently after being gone for many years.  They have 2 teenagers.  All 4 are living with grandparents right now, most probably indefinitely but that's a whole other story.  My question is how often do your niece/nephews spend the night at your house?  Mine are also out of state so it is hard to say what it would be from that side.  I just feel like after having little family here for so many years I am now on family overload.  These kids want to stay and be with us all the time.  Granted, I understand they have no friends bc they aren't in school yet and they like us more than gma/gpa and their own parents but I rarely say no bc I don't want to be the bad guy but I like my piece and quiet!  and of course I like less mess to clean up.  not to mention teenagers are expensive.  So what's the average out there?  Once, twice a month?

My niece recomended something to me that

WORKS AND IMMEDIATELY!!!!!   She told me last year and I kept using other things and a few weeks ago bought it and she nailed it!!!

GOLD BOND!

I got the Medicated, but my sister got regular and she says the same thing.  THIS STUFF WORKS.  The medicated is wonderful because it instantly cools the skin and NO MORE ITCH.  It is menthol, and therefore would not use it on face or around the eyes, but it has STOPPED the unrelenting itch of legs and arms for me!

My niece died from
obstructive sleep apnea at 37. I did not see at my father's funeral. I was not called when she died. My brother's wife called my first cousin and he passed the news on to his mother (my maternal aunt) and maternal aunt called me. I had no idea (being as my brother did not speak nor want me in their lives) that the niece had gone thru so much. My aunt and I went to the funeral home and funeral and the mother told me about what kind of life she had, drugs, alcohol, prison - yes prison. No one ever told me and this was about 3 times she was in prison. I never knew anything about these kids coming up. The mother told me the niece did not have insurance, could not afford CPAP. I would have bought that had I known but like I said, brother made the decision to NOT have me around and I went along with his wants. The only heirs would be my brother's children, not his wife, not ever. I am sorry you do not tend to understand this but this is the case. In the years since 1973 no one from that family called until nephew in jail in maybe 1986 or 1987. I never heard my name called by Aunt on the first part of it. Only sibling I had. I have complete peace of mind and sleep like a baby. After my brother died with his children being 4 and 6, his wife could have reached out to me then, did not happen. All water under the bridge, long time ago.
Oh and the model is my niece....sm
But she is like my own. I have kept her a lot since she was 5 weeks old. Sis-in-law is single and when she would date I would keep her. The child's dad is a loser. He walked away when sis-in-law got pregnant and hasn't seen Addie since she was an infant and doesn't want to even though he lives a few miles away. So I say she is better off without him.
Doesn't Shemar have the most gorgeous smile you've ever seen? nm

Sunny, gorgeous October day in Cali - (guess that's

Praying for your niece and family....
Lost my dad to this a year ago, about 5 years after being diagnosed. Blessings and strength to your family.
RE: Thanks everyone for your replies. I have forwarded them on to my niece who is the one (sm)
who had the positive test.  She is only 21 and this is her first pregnancy.  All your replies are greatly appreciated!!  Thank you!
I'm sorry to hear about your niece, Lilly
I'll keep her in my prayers.
It is totally ridiculous, my niece just went to hers
and got her dress and all the accessories at David's Bridal, it was more like 500.00 or so. That's not including the extra cash she needed to go out afterwards to *Friday's*. They are 14 years old! AND then they expect these Sweet 16 parties? LOL Well, if the parents do it, they're to blame. I don't really know if it's actually for the kid or just to *keep up with the Joneses* or to try to impress or what it is but it is getting out of hand now. We had none of that stuff growing up. I think our parents were smarter than that and didn't put themselves in DEEP DEBT with credit cards etc. So at least we'll be getting inheritances. These kids will be crying down the road that their parents spent theirs! Oh well ;) LOL
