and from her father's real estate fortune. She basically jumped into the limelight when her little personal homemade sex video was leaked out. She is described as a "socialite, actress, and singer." She likes to party hard and doesn't want to pay or take any responsibility for her own irresponsible actions, such as driving with a suspended license, DUI, you get the picture.

Why did your stepbrother's wife not inherit from your
stepbrother?
She and her children should contest the distribution and take you to court, as they are the legal heirs.

Fortune Cookie Stuffer on Vacation
I've been reading on CNN that in China they have many millions of migrant workers trying to get back home for the Lunar New Year. China has had the worst snow in over 50 years for about a week. They have so many people stranded that they finally came to the conclusion travel would not be advised! They figure this disruption of the country has cost them $7.5 billion! Looks like your fortune cookie stuffer is stranded on vacation now.
My last fortune cookie was written in English...sm
on one side and Spanish on the other!
Had Chinese takeout - my fortune cookie was empty
And my husband is trying to tell me that means I already have everything.
Hmmm......
The Hilton in Time Square SM....
We went for a three day weekend a couple of summers ago. We went to central park, took a carraige ride, and had painting done of my children. We went through the beautiful church very close to central park. You can catch a shoe. We took a subway to ground zero, a subway to a private tour of Yankee Stadium, and then a subway to a ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. We also did a lot of walking around just checking out the sites. On Sunday morning, the closed a major street for a swap meet type event. I loved it. My kids were 10 and 12 at the time and will never ever forget it. It was one of the best, if not the best, thing we have ever done.
Enjoy yourself. Wish I was going again.
Welcome back card to Hilton
Dear Hilton:
We are so happy to have you back. We heard about your rash. We think this poem will help. Post it above your cell toilet:
If you're here to have a sit -
stand on the seat.
The crabs at Lynwood Jail

My pet "Paris Hilton Boid"
Her real name is Tooki -- SPOILED rotten though by her dad and I -- LOL
Paris Hilton Boid
yes, she said good bird, bad bird (after she has bitten one of us), I love youo and i'm sorry -- this is a sun conure, she is now 8 months old so still a baby, but won't get any bigger and she is a joy to have -- she loves playing "bat' hanging upside down, being outside with us and even being on the tree outside the door -- wings are clipped so no danger of her flying away thank heavens.
Paris Hilton to jail for 45 days?
Prosecutors want to have her spend 45 days in jail for her priors. DUI, reckless driving, probation violation, not going to an alcohol program, etc. I think she should go. Anybody else would have been in a jail a long time ago. Celebs should not be given SPECIAL TREATMENT. Can't wait to see her picture in her prison jumpsuit. She will probably have it custom made.
Here's a question that may help millions! (sm)
I am looking for a new haircut. I have fine, thin hair, brunette, longer than shoulder length and in long layers. I have a semi-round, semi-heart-shaped face. I have had this haircut for 10+ years. I need something new and want any device for all those who know what I'm talkin' about!
No, you are wrong. There are millions
upon millions who are against it, but not afraid of it.
Homophobia is the wrong word.
millions called their cable/tv companies...
Well, the former welfare recipient has her millions now & feels
regardless if it adversely affects children. She knows full well that her books are read by children. Since she has opted to make such a poor decision, I am opting to make a good decision and no longer purchase her books, watch her movies, or buy any products related to her books as she gets a cut on everything. It's one thing to have a personal opinion about homosexuality, but she didn't have to publicly link it to a character in her books.
Spoiled.

SPOILED!

um, what about deceased hubby family and $millions she was fighting for?
nm
what about dead hubby's millions, fighting her stepson for
she's been fighting to get millions from her dead hubby estate, fighting the son-in-law. Howard is her attorney for that, which has been going on for years. That family has motive.
And yet there are thousands (probably millions) starving to death in America.....nm
nm
alcohol makes her nuts, along with millions of other people.

I don't think he is spoiled by any means..sm
he just likes natural food. There is nothing wrong with that. If it was my kitty though, and this is not meant to be judgemental so please don't take it that way, I would probably delay the vacation until the kitty was a little older. But that's just me.
spoiled kids maybe
I have a 16 year old, am single mom and she is only child, she hopefully has learned some lessons along the way because I have tried to instill values in her - she comes home talking about the 300-400 Ipods the kids at school have and I think to myself - how are they going to survive in the real world if they get things like this as teenagers - they are not going to have a clue how to manage money, these kids are even buying expensive gifts for each other at school, I feel sorry for them when they get out in the real world and have to start paying for everything themselves, unfortunately the real meaning of Christmas has evidently gone the wayside and most kids think it is just a time to get real cool presents.
Spoiled, yes, I see nothing wrong with that
If others went through the years of abuse, cheating, broken arm, just nightmarish trouble in life, to be spoiled now, hey I will take that. I am pushing 70 and it is about time in my life to be spoiled. (By the way, this happened in my life before this child was born, in case you think she saw this, she didn’t.)
Extreme spoiled brattinitis
so he says, love it
And then some husbands have their wife spoiled
and give them any and every thing their little heart desires and I am one of those lucky ones. By the way, I don’t even have to cook- he does all that. I am spoiled rotten and loving it.
How about a spoiled rotten 40-year-old
Amazon Parrot? She is so beautiful and knows it! She has a bright yellow head and talks to the dogs, and all the dogs we have had prior to this one. About 3 years ago I bought her one of those parrots that will talk back and flap its wings and repeats everything you say. She loves BIRDIE so much that I tried to pick it up (have to admit was teasing her with it and kissing it) and she got so jealous she bit my leather jacket and made a hole in it! So much for the jacket, but I love my Morry. We thought she was a boy so we named her Morris, then we were told she was a female. . . I switched her name to Morrisa, i.e. Morry. Wish you could meet her. She is just darling and spoiled and rotten and . . . . . . . .
RE: Hotel in NYC
I'm thinking of going to NYC for a weekend to go to a musical with my daughter for her birthday in February. Can anyone recommend a hotel where the price is reasonable and close to Broadway, if possible.
Hotel
Thanks. I'll look into that. I figured most of the places would be expensive, but of course don't like the idea of staying someplace dumpy either.
I would much rather be in a hotel...sm
because like you said you can do what you like. I am a night owl and if I want to lay in bed and watch TV half the night I can.
Sadly, though, many ARE that wasteful and spoiled by their luxuries. sm
As MTs, I think we fall into a rather frugal subset of the population, perhaps both because we aren't in the higher income brackets (though, having said that, I'm expecting some s******s to chime in that he/she is making $100K a year and only working part time because her left thumb alone can do 300 lph) and also because, perhaps, we're used to looking at how the little things (like spaces and punctuation and all the minutiae) add up in aggregate.
I have my favorite things on which I splurge, but I can otherwise squeeze a penny with the best of 'em, as I suspect many, if not most, here can, as well.
But, yeah, there are people who hire others to do even their most routine tasks and chores, or who run the A/C in summer with open windows, or drive the Hummer the 1/2 block to the 7-11....
Hotel in Beckley
Country Inns and Suites is nice. There is also a Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn that is nice.
Check with your hotel . . .
I have found that the hotel will usually hold the baggage until a later time.
Okay, I'm that way in a hotel, with twists (sm)
I take antimicrobial Febreeze and spray the blanket and bedspread down first thing. It makes everything feel and smell clean so I can relax. I take my own supply of towels and pillowcases. I lay a fresh pillowcase over the pillow each night. I only use hotel towels for the floor mat and to mop up counters and dry off bottles. I wash any dishes before use unless they are wrapped in plastic. I always bring flipflops so I don't have to walk barefoot on the carpet at all. I check the foot of the bed for signs of bedbugs - bugs or brownish stains from poo.
I never sleep without underwear under my full-length PJs anyway! I'd love to be assured they are washing their sheets and towels in hot water with enough Tide and Oxyclean to be up to my standards, and then drying them thoroughly, but I sincerely doubt it.
Downloading music/spoiled musicians and athletes
sbMT wrote: "cheating consumers for decades by selling tapes, cds and albums with only 1, maybe 2, good songs on them out of 10-15 songs. Remember back when you'd buy an album, and MOST of the songs on it were good?"
Yeah, actually I do remember the time. You would actually listen to the entire album. Or, if you wanted, just buy the 45.
Now you have to wait for "the best of" to come out in order to get more than a few good songs.
But I do agree that these musicians and sports stars income has gotten out of control.
What athlete truly is worth $12 mil a year? The QBs and WRs are usually paid that salary if they're really good. I loved Randy Moss when he was a Viking, his faults and all but what they paid him is outrageous - plus they just upped the NFL salary cap so the salaries will be even higher. And I truly think that if Moss stays with a QB that is good, he will break all of Jerry Rice's records.
However, I grew up watching quarterbacks like Indian Joe Kapp, playing with one bar across his helmet and taking big time hits from players like Deacon Jones like his famous "head slaps". They didn't baby the QB like they do now. Good grief, if you touch him with your fingertip 0.007 seconds after he releases the ball, it's a 15 yard penalty. Sissies. Go back and watch some football from the 70's. That was real football, not the prima donna crap you see today.
Now I'm sounding like an old fogey but I do miss the good old days of good music and good football. And yes, I still do watch football and root for my beloved Vikings every year but it disappoints me that the game has evolved the way it is and there are so darned many rules that the refs end up deciding at least one game a season with a bad call.
As far as music, heck - would you ever buy a copy of Pink Floyd's The Wall and not listen to every song? Any Zeppelin albums out there that haven't been worn down (entire album) by repeated playing?
OK. I'll get off my soap box now. ;-)
We'll be parking at the hotel
It's $25. It's more convenient for us to drive so we don't have to have the train schedule dictate when we have to leave. Thanks for the advice, though. It should be interesting to say the least.
condos versus hotel
Hi, the only tip I really have is check out the rates of the condos on the beach for weekly rentals.
I know they are probably high for summer time, but they offer full kitchens and more amenities than hotels usually... and you can save a lot of money by making your own meals instead of eating out all the time. The end of the summer we got a really good rate at Emerald Isle in North Carolina... I know that's far from you, I'm not sure if FL is as cheap... but you could look at Myrtle Beach too. Just think you're going to be paying probably at least 100.00 a night in a hotel... depending on how many nights you are staying you may just want to look into the condo idea, and if you need any help once you figure out where you want to go I'd be happy to i LOVE doing that kinda stuff :) have fun and good idea to start saving early
I usually prefer a hotel bed. Most people's
I can stay up til 2AM like I usually do, eat whatever, get up late, have M&Ms for breakfast and watch cartoons if I feel like it. And don't have to keep on being chatty and nice. I can just be my grouchy old self in a hotel room. The TVs are usually better too, and you don't have to wait to use the bathroom.
I was spoiled this year! 3 gift cards - 50.00 at Carrabas, 25.00 at Cheddar's, and then sm
3 cards to Wal Mart totalling 100.00 from mom for kids to get stuff. The other gift card (or gift cert.)is that the same thing? was for 200.00 to local spa. I guess I was good this year! LOL OH! How could I forget? My hubby bought me a gift cert. for a hair cut and style at a very expensive place AND made the appointment!!!! which is for tomorrow at 2!
Anyone live near Beckley, W. Va and can you tell me which hotel is the nicest there. nm

Oh Wow. Staying in downtown Atlanta in a historic hotel. This place is haunted. No one
told me this, I am a Christian and I feel this heavy spirit following me everywhere I go! How crazy is that? I believe there is something here at this place. It is a beautiful place, but definitely something spiritual going on here. This was the place where they had some Gone With The Wind ball many years ago. Very strange.
We are here visiting and going to the zoo, children's museum, and aqauarium this week. Wow. I have the chills right now! night night

That little girl
For those of us who lived through the "British Invasion", or even if you didn't but saw replays of some of the groups singing, you would remember that the teen girls would scream and cry. Cry. Yes. So when I saw that pitiful-looking little girl, I thought she was planted there sort of as a flashback to the British Invasion period. If that was the reason, it did not work out well. They should have had a group of them doing that. As it was, it just made her look like she desperately needs a psychiatrist.
but did you notice how enthralled she was with Sanjaya? that's why I think it is millions of little girls that age voting for him.
Just my thoughts. My other thought is that AI seems to have run its course.
Go girl!
Go get 'em!! You sound like you've got a good plan. I wish you the very best of luck!
Girl, let me tell you...sm
I know...what's up with her snotty attitude lately? And running for senator, puhleeze! She is so ugly to everyone, including Victor...she best watch it or he'll kick her off her high horse...
you go girl!
nm
You go girl...
Way to go! You are a force to be reckoned with...Congratulations on your victory! Here's to ya... !(I'm in the ATL area also...hey neighbor!)
I'm with you girl...
My DH loves camping...I told him when he buys a luxury RV, then I'll go~~~maybe~~~ I'm more along the lines of a resort in Key West, now that's a vacation....and ABSOLUTELY NO WORKING...
Me too!...This girl does not...
sleep in an RV, tin can trailer or a tent, let alone on the ground! Hotels all the way for me...don't mind hiking, backpacking, etc...just give me a good room at the end of the day!
I could have been that little girl.
My mom had mental health issues, but back in the 1960s, no one talked about such things. Our house was a horrible mess, and I knew it. I had dirty clothes which were usually old hand-me downs from a cousin. It was really awful growing up. Right up until I was about 13 or so, I used to beg my mother to do "normal" things, like let me have friends over. It was always a disaster. I just didn't understand that she wasn't capable of being like other moms. Eventually, I stopped having friends over, learned to do my own laundry, and worked like crazy in our house to clean and cook. It was a small town, and everyone knew that I had taken on the role of woman-of-the-house. My friends' mothers would invite me over to give me a break and let me be a kid. I eventually stopped even trying to have them at my house. It was torture to even try.
What I'm saying is, let your daughter go to the party. As someone mentioned, you can offer to help. It's very likely that the little girl is painfully aware that her home life is different from her friends. It's not her fault that she lives the way she does. If she's anything like I was, more than anything, she needs friends and to have some normalcy in her life.
that little girl...
I feel for you and what you went through. I have a friend (almost 39 years) who was that girl and my mother encouraged our friendship even though I had doubts - peer pressure. Her mother had mental problems as did her step-father but what a great family. I was in situations and at the age of around 9 I knew it was not "normal" - don't get things in the mind..nothing going on in the family that was perverted!! It was just how they lived but they were such a loving family and I am proud to call Neva my friend as she has been for almost 40 years. I thank my mother that she never judged and still does not (I can be a pain in the ass) and found such a wonderful friend that will be my friend until the day I die. So mom's out there..there may be great friendships that will last for life - don't worry so about things unless need be!!!
