I think you are right about the steaks in the pan. Now that you mention it, I remember reading about that somewhere, just doing them on the stove in a heavy-bottomed pan and searing it with high heat first to lock in the juices. Hmm, I will have to try that. I've tried steaks on the contact grill a few years back that didn't come out so great, but this time I'm going to try them on the open indoor grill and see how that goes.
