Do the math
State (where I went to school) required 180 days of school.
365-180 = 185 days of no school. Factor in the extra hours a teacher has to spend on planning, conferences, meetings, etc and how many DAYS does that eat into the day off pool? For the amount of time they put in all YEAR, they get paid pretty darn well.
Do you do math?
I said my son was 8 years older. I did not say he was home alone at 8 years. When my daughter, younger, started school he was 8 years older, let me see that is say maybe 5 and 8- MY GOSH, that makes him 13 YEARS OLD.
If she has had all the math and science
prerequisites, it doesn't matter what grade she is in when she takes it. My son took it in 10th grade with the seniors, but was a couple years ahead of his grade in math and science classes. His teacher also just gave them the work, and they were pretty much on their own. My son reads math and physics books for fun, so he was all right, but he had some seniors asking him for help throughout the year.
If this is her first year of high school, that's probably stressing her out too. She may want to wait till next year or later to take it until she is more comfortable with the high school routine.
So true, spelling and math.
Wanna have a laugh, when at a store if the amount is something like 12.56 give the young clerk a twenty and a nickel and a penny and see the puzzled look you get. Then when they put the amount into the ''computer'' and see you will get 2 quarters back they are like OH! okay. This is our future generation. It is scary.
Tried, failed in math so could not figure, only do spelling!
