actually enjoyed him was last night. I usually think Chris is okay. I don't necessarily want him to be the one to go, I just have a feeling it will be.

My boys are probably too young to have been at a Crowes performance anyway, but I did think about how cool they would have been at school the next day. Goin' in all groggy-eyed and wearing their "tour shirts" that he was insisting on, which was the other reason we didn't go . . . LOL!!!

I read that for the younger kids, this is a good time
to explain to them that the characters they love on TV are just that "characters pretending" and they should look to parents, teachers, scout leaders, etc as role models. I am not saying you haven't done that, but I thought it was good advice for the young ones that are disappointed and don't understand.

I am with you. Cannot for the life of me understand why Sanjaya is still on. He should go ASAP. I would have kicked off after the first night. He bores me to death. I also really do like Chris Sligh. :-) But I do believe the girls are better this year. Love the 17-year-old. She is great!

He was absolutely awful last night, but I think you may be right. I think the bottom three will be Sanjaya, Chris and possibly Lakisha. What about Simon last night. Do you think he was too harsh on Sanjaya. I kind of felt sorry for him, but enough is enough. He needs to go.

I think that Sanjaya knew last night was his night to go home. I wasn't surprised either that LaKiesha was in the bottom 3 although she is one of my favorites - as is blake. Now we're back to a true contest and I think we will see these last ones really pull out all the stops every week. I think they realize that they cannot have a bad performance now or that they will be gone. My top 3 are Melinda, Blake and Jordin - who are yours?

I think he knew also. He was crying even before they announced the bottom two (when Blake was still up there). My favorites are also Blake, Jordin and Melinda. I used to like LaKiesha, but she's gone downhill for me now. I was so relieved when Blake sat down. If he had gone home before Sanjaya...

Sanjaya is a JOKE. First of all,
he CANNOT SING; and if he thinks he can, he needs a reality check. He should have to sit and listen to himself like we all have to week after week. ICK.
It is just is not fair to the other contests to keep voting for him and losing better singers (not saying Brandon is great, but he is, was, much better than Sanny Boy.
If he wins this thing, which I doubt, it would be the END OF IDOL. I surely would not watch it ever again. This show is turning out to something other than a SINGING contest as Simon and the others have said over and over and over.
Why are there 3 judges anyway? AMERICA should not be allowed to vote, if this kind of c*** is going to continue. They need to put a stop to it. BUT they are raking in the ratings and the $$$$ so they probably really do not care.

He really surprised me with tonight's song. I didn't know he had it in him. Lakisha has been disappointing me lately. I love Blake, I think he was awesome tonight and so was Melinda. The others were just bland IMO.

Stopped watching during the first season because it was a popularity contest, not a talent contest ("ooh, he/she's HOT--voting to keep him/her"). I hear AI updates on the morning radio show and heard the opinions of Sanjaya, all of which may be true, however:

Ouch. He is a (I believe) 17-year-old kid who entered a contest and seems to be handling the critism a lot better than I could.

It is the fault of Stern, the sites like you mentioned and clueless voters that have ruined the show. Again, the kid simply entered a contest. If he decides to quit, then he will be criticized for that, too. 
Man, was Sanjaya awful last night!
I was glad to see that Simon finally acknowledged what we all know is going on (voting for the worst) when he said it wasn't funny anymore and they were seriously trying to pick an American Idol. I also found it funny that Ryan felt he needed to step in when Simon was critiquing Sanjaya. Why? He wasn't saying anything he hadn't said before, or anything he hadn't said to other past contestants. I liked the fact that Simon motioned Ryan off the stage, because I felt Ryan was out of line and should just let Sanjaya take his lumps.
Hopefully it will be Sanjaya tonight, but who knows. Maybe he will at least finally make the bottom 3. I think it might be Chris. I was disappointed with Lakisha's performance, and I thought Melinda did absolutely awesome.
Anyone can screech that song. What a punk. Out, out, out Sanjaya!

I worked in the medical records department of a hospital when I was single and dated a few co-workers in my early 30s. It was fun. Nothing serious came about any of the relationships.

It's a neuro condition, it does not mean there is anything at all wrong with you, it is actually related to narcolepsy, hypnagogic (sp? I just got up!) hallucinations, etc. And I HATE when I get these, it is always freaky, my siblings get this too, at times. I can "go away" for years and years before you get another episodes, so don't worry! I heard that when you are under a lot of stress or are very busy with things that this happens more??? Take care!!

My grandmother (who passed away at the young age of 107 back in the mid 1990s) was STILL celebrating every little holiday for all of her many kids and grandkids, and she would STILL give me a chocolate bunny every Easter, as she had since I was a toddler and even though I was 40ish at the time (and I still delighted in biting its head off in front of her, as I had also done since I was a toddler, which always met with mock disapproval from her).

I liked your post. Thanks for replying It's nice to know other people were raised like me. We seem to appreciate the things we have. Oh I should've also said we didn't have A/C growing up. My parents idea of A/C was having my sister and I wave a piece of cardboard in front of them. HA HA HA.
I just couldn't stand the 90s and 2000s are even worse. I hate all the politics going on today, the world events, the bleak future. The degenerates running around, listening to kids talk back to their parents, girls gone wild, etc, etc. I'm grateful my grandparents and mom are not alive anymore to have to go through this with us.
I love watching old movies and the music of the 40s/50s. If I was alive back then I would've been doing the jitterbug and all those other fun dances. Life seemed simpler and cleaner (even though I've got a mouth like a sailer - guess I got that from my Army days).
I wouldn't mind the turn of the century either. I love the clothing and the simple life. Those are the times when the husband took care of the wife. If I could be transported back to the 1800s I surely would in a second.

Good Fences make good neighbors
You can get premade cedar fencing that comes in sections. You dig a post hole at the appropriate distance and fill with a bag of quick-crete. Alternatively, you could buy a used fence from a place that hauls away.
You could also get an electric fence, just hook to a battery and run the cord (for retraining purposes) it would not hurt your dogs.
I feel your pain. Roll up your sleeves and pray for some digging weather!
Time out and then spanking if time out
If we are out in public however, we do not go home. Spanking right there and then and the kids learn REAL QUICK mom means business. I do not mess around and I have a 17-year-old now that has enlisted in the military and THANKS me for his tough upgrowing. It helped him through basic training.
Well, I have questioned myself from time to time.
I figured this was typical. DD has lots of friends but two real close friends. I guess this is all part of building social skills. I am glad I did okay then.

if I roll over too quickly. I have positional vertigo. There is not too much you can do about it except try not to move or get up too quickly from a supine position. I have never had an earache in my life either so that has nothing to do with it. I don't ever feel sick from it though, just more of a nuisance for me every now and then. If it keeps happening obviously get checked out, you may have a more severe case, though again there really not much you can do about it, all it is is some particles in your ear breaking loose and that causes the dizziness, etc.

I keep it in the office part time and on the patio part time
I've got the self-cleaning electric litter box (and boy is it worth the $100), and have a huge throw rug under it with a smaller rug by the litter pan that has a bumpy mat on top of it to catch the excess. I keep it in the office from April to October but on the patio from October to March as it is too hot in FL to leave the patio door open for them during the summer months. I also put out a spare box when we go out of town for the weekend.
Try a box that has deeper sides maybe, or not as much litter in it?
