school are there for a reason. She knew she was not supposed to do it as all of that is explained EVERY school year. In our schools, medications (even aspirin) is kept in the office with a note from a doctor (whether rx or not) and they dispense it.

The only medication I am on...
is Chantix, started 1 month ago, and these symptoms preceded that but the dizziness and balance issues may have gotten worse with the Chantix.
I just keep going to the doctor and they keep telling me anxiety. These symptoms basically fell into my lap 3 months or so ago.

I totally agree, and I signed the petition. I wish they would pass a similar bill about childbirth. Some women can only stay in the hospital 24 hours after their child is born (or it may be 24 hours total, I'm not sure). Or at least that's all their insurance will pay for, if it is a healthy birth with no complications.
I am currently fighting with my HMO about a medication that I desperately need. At the moment I am buying it through a "Canadian pharmacy" (based in New York state) and it is sent to me from Mumbai, India. In the U.S., the medication costs $10.00 a pill!!! Through this pharmacy, I get it for $1.77 a pill. But it is still more than twice what my normal co-pay would be if the $#@%#$ HMO would cover it.
So any kind of insurance reform bills that ANYONE knows about, PLEASE pass the info along. Thanks!
how about bringing someone into your home
a few hours maybe 3 days a week? You could canvass local daycares and find someone who has toys and resources to come in and work with your son. They can encourage good behavior with a reward system (have you tried a reward system instead of a punishment system?) It really sounds as though your son is understimulated in addition to wanting to run things and needing the right kind of attention (I don't say this to offend you...but you may not be meeting his needs with being so overwhelmed and things have just gotten into a rut). I had to work every Saturday for 2 months recently and I got a daycare worker my daughter loves to come spend a few hours of one-on-one time. I got my work done, my daughter felt special, the cost was minimal compared to what I earned, and the sitter loved coming. It was a win-win situation.
It is unrealistic to think you can strip your house of everything you need and want to live with. If what you are doing now is not working, you need to do something different. I hope you get some creative ideas.

you can cut it in half or quarters and start out taking a tiny amount, then gradually start taking the entire pill? If you are able to do that, your body will get used to it and you will soon be able to consume entire amount.

Question: does anyone get medication from overseas WITHOUT a prescription? I only take one medication. In a few months, I will run out of Requip, a prescription I take for restless leg. Bottom line - I need 3-5 months more of it WITHOUT going to the doc to get a written prescription. If I go to the doc, my health insurance company(self-employed) won't change me from their high rates next year to lower rates. I will get lower rates by NOT claiming restless leg for 12 months in a row.
***What's the best company to get an overseas medication from WITHOUT a prescription?**** No sermons please, after I get the new lower payment rate, I can go back to the doctor and get written prescriptions again.

You are right, and that is why I need to find out what is the best reputable pharmacy overseas to get just this one medication, generic Requip, from for ONLY a 3-month time period. After I can my health insurance rate, I will get the medication with a prescription here in the US. So, what's a reputable overseas pharmacy that any of you have dealt with?

My perspective: I had an uncle who was severely ill several years ago. His sons lived in different parts of the country and when he was well enough, they flew him in to visit. I could not see him so often, so I decided to write little notes to him from time to time. Talked about some funny things that he had done and how much they made me laugh. When he was gone, my aunt told me how much those trips and the notes meant to him, it was like a gift that he and the family got to experience before he was gone, a chance to say good-bye, that many people don't get.

In my family some of us are cooks and some aren't. So it depends on who brings what. If it's easier for the person to buy a pie than make it, that's fine. If I'm bringing dessert, I usually make the pies. I have a sister who does not cook, so she always buys them. BUT she buys really good ones from local pie shop. For the first time, this year my 12 yo niece has been put in charge of dessert for Thanksgiving, with my SIL overseeing it. She's learning to cook and bake and even called me to ask for one of my dessert recipes that she really likes. I'm very pleased she's trying and don't really care what she makes, it's the thought.
P.S. I do have a pumpkin pie stashed here at the house for later tomorrow night though!

What doctor does my DH need to see: Bringing up post
from below. I was unable to answer until today.
Those are good suggestions, but it can't be CO2 as it happens when he's standing in his garage too. He doesn't get a headache, just the eye problem. He had his INR check/doctor appointment yesterday and told him about it again.
Finally, an answer....sort of! Can't be low blood pressure because of the Toprol. Can't be blood too thick because he's on Coumadin. If DH wants, doc will make an appointment for the specialist (supposedly one of the best in the country) for a look-see and maybe some sort of laser treatment. It has to do with fluid build-up behind the eye that puts pressure on the nerves or something like that. It's harmless, so he says.
I don't like it and wish he would get it checked out, but we're still waiting for his first check of the year. So, he's going to hold off.
He's also supposed to be bringing his young little
girlfriend on the show... This is on film forever and ever for the kids to get to re-live their father leaving the family for a new hot young thing. How lovely for the kids.
And to those who say, 'but Kate is a hard-@$$...' he knew how she was before he married her, and he certainly knew how she was before the last batch of kids. He made that bed & now he's abandoning it for a newer younger bed. What a great guy....
Accidnetally took hubs medication
this morning. I take a blood pressure pill and I just took a 40 mg tablet of atenolol he had- thinking it was my armour thyroid. Should I just watch my blood pressure to make it does not dip too low? I think I will be okay but anyone else done this?

medication from overseas pharmacy
(I have a self-employed health plan). What the health insurance company tells me is: At the time of my application for a lower rate (Jan 2010), they will look at all of my doc visits & pharmacy meds for the past 12 months. I have higher priced health insurance only because I have restless leg syndrome and take only ONE medication, generic Requip. I stockpiled my medication and it will not show that I have gotten a prescription refilled or been to the doctor about restless legs for 12 months, so they will place me in the cheapest health insurance rate.
After my cheaper rate goes into effect, I can go back to the doctor - I will be locked into the new cheaper plan for a few years until the health insurance company closes that plan out and I have to reapply to a new health insurance plan.
That will all work, except that I will run out of the stockpiled prescription three months early (I have nine months stockpiled); hence my need to go overseas for just one 90-day prescription to carry me over so it won't be reported to the health insurance company.
So to answer your question, it will be OK with the health insurance company after they have "locked" me into my newer, cheaper health insurance rate. Then I can go back to the doc and the pharmacy, and the health insurance company doesn't care.
What do you think of that lash growing medication?
I've seen the commercial but cannot remember the name of the med, but it's for growing lashes. It may cause (possibly) reversible eyelid darkening and permanent discoloration of the iris. Would people really want those potential risks and/or side effects? I mean, you're messing with your sight here. I've always had long lashes and find them a pain at times - they curl the wrong way and poke your eye and you have to pluck them (ouch), they catch on your glasses, etc. I can't help but feel that we'll find out 10 years down the road that med cause some kind of cancer.
Bringing my issue with grandparents and cousins to the top
I am sorry, I got myself out of town for the weekend to get away. I am still at a loss. I have tried contacting my grandparents numerous times to no avail. I emailed my sister, and she talked to my grandmother who said she has simply "missed my calls." Thank you all for letting me vent Friday and giving me opinions. I will not stoop to their level. Also, to the poster who asked why I think the baby's name had to do with it, it is because she kept saying, "Figure it out, Daddy's girl" and because when I asked if that was it, she said, "What baby, did I say something about a baby" and "aren't you a little Einstein."

You are teaching him that you are going to give in to him if he whines a bit. If you will just consistently hold out and not go to him, he will stop it in a few days. I just went through this with my new pekingese. She took about 2 weeks of crate training before she quit whining. I never gave in to her for whatever reason and even if it was time to take her out, I never got her out until she was completely quiet. Now, all I do is tap the box when it is time to go in and she usually goes in completely on her own and she never cries anymore.

She only had them about every 18 months or so, granted I don't know if she had others when I was at work during the day, at night she slept in our bed with us. I believe the seizures contributed to the shortening her life though. She died days after her 8th birthday (cancer) in 2003. She never bit her tongue either, and the seizure was a few minutes and then after 15 or so minutes she started to get back to normal, but she would usually sleep for a long time after having a seizure. Since your dog's seizures seem to be getting worse I would opt for the medication. If you vet gives you a hard time then you might want to think about going to a different vet. Good luck.

our 7-year-old has been on this medication for 1-1/2 years and it has been our miracle drug with her. The mood swings are tons better and if she skips a dose we can definitely tell the difference. Question about taking vitamins with allergy medication
This may sound like a stupid question, but I've never taken allergy medication and now I've got bad allergies. Just took a vitamin C about 10 minutes ago. Is it safe to take an allergy pill (Clariton I think it is) so soon after taking a vitamin, or does it even matter. Again, sorry if that sounds stupid, just not used to taking either and my head/eyes feel like they are going to explode and I'm sneezing and coughing and runny nose, and just feel icky all over but have got to work.

New School Rules
 Not every child does this for attention. If you had read the post -- you do know how to read right? The original poster stated that her child has a medical condition! I think it is wrong to punish a child for doing something that a body does naturally especially if it is due to a medical condition! There are a lot of good teachers out there and a lot of not so good teachers. There are a lot that need to get back to teaching instead of worrying about this sort of thing. If you ignore it -- children will not do it because it did not bring about the attention they sought to get. And if it is due to a medical condition the teacher will have to deal with it! I have GERD and my stomach makes noises all day long. Are you going to come after me too?
New Class Rules
I have 2 children and neither have to the best of my knowledge done this in a classroom. However, if there is a medical issue behind this I do not believe the child should be punished. I do agree it is rude if done on purpose but I do not believe that was the situation wiht the original poster. When I have parent teacher meetings I am praised up and down because my children are the best behaved in the class so I do not believe my personal parenting skills are an issue here. I think everyone is making way too much out of this. Boys will be boys. Sooner or later they will out grow the behavior. Maybe the problem with the world today is that kids cannot just be kids anymore? Things are different now then they were years ago. I cannot remember school shootings or threats at my school. Twice my daughter was sent home because of a bomb scar. This never happened when I was in school. The world is different now and if the worst a kid does in class is burp or pass gas I think the teachers should be grateful.

My children do not do any of these things to the best of my knowledge. They do not do it at home because they were taught that it is rude, but if it happens to say excuse me which I believe is the polite thing to do. I have never heard of them doing this in school either. However, I do believe that if a child has a medical problem he/she can politely say excuse me and should not be punished. I'm not saying it is proper behavior -- just that if it happens the child can say excuse me. At my daughter's school not all of the teachers allow children to leave the classroom during class to use the bathroom. I don't agree with that either. I guess that makes me a monster.
Your house your rules. I would not even
open that door to letting them sleep together at your place because then it will only get worse - trust me - with kids 30, 28, 24 and 17 - I've seen and heard a lot. Stick by your guns - you will be happier and the kids know where you stand.... you are not a prude and don't think for a second you are!! Best of luck!!

I have the Epson CX6600 it has four different ink cartridges but I spend less on ink that I ever have. the photos I print look like I got them from the store and it is much faster than my husbands and daughters (cannon/Hub and HP for daughter) Everybody uses moms printer for anything special and they buy ink more often than I do lol

I did not set the rules for this. Where I live
we cannot have individual sales, only twice a year is when our community allowed. We have to get a $10.00 permit from our city and I am much too old for this. I was finishing setting up when folks started coming by, before the sun came up. I can say never again because I really mean that. I don't have to put up with attitudes, either and that woman that came as early bird had one. Some people have lots of nerve.
They need those no touch rules!
I went to a place that is very well known in Florida before they enacted the 'no touch rule'. My older brother pounded into my head when I was little 'if someone grabs you - hit, kick, and scream'. So, of course, when some zombie-thing grabbed me, he got elbowed VERY hard in the stomach. He was not happy about that! I had gone thinking that they weren't allowed to touch you, so it really freaked me out!!
After that incident, I told my friend we had to leave before I got arrested! I don't go to those things any more - my nerves can't take it!
Cookie rules
Here, we eat the dough too, and of the ones who make it to the baking stage are carefully inspected when they are removed from the oven because our rule is that we get to eat all the "cripples", you know the ones that are crooked or missing a leg or part of Santa's hat, or the tip of a star. If we don't have enough one of us always gets the spatula and cripples a few more so we can eat! Frosting day is another story altogether. By the time we are finished we usually have just a modest amount of cream cheese cutouts left and the same amount of gingerbread. We all need a diet by that time. Then, there is always "bread baking day" - so many baking days, so little self-control.

I know the timeout rules all too
well, but truthfully, I needed the timeout. It took me a good 20 minutes to compose myself to the point where I was ready to address what he did. I figured he was safer sitting on that chair. By the time it was done, he sat for about 30 minutes. According to the timeout rules, it should have been 8 minutes, but sometimes we adjust the punishment to fit the crime. Then he sat for another 10 minutes while I lectured him calmly about the what-ifs.

state that sellers have up to 30 days to ship items once they're paid for.... just as buyers have up to 30 days to pay UNLESS it's posted otherwise in the original listing. My guess is that with the holidays the seller has gone away for a few days. Furthermore eBay/PayPal won't open an investigation until it's been 30 days past the day of the sale.
