everyone is so touchy here lately....my opinion is allowed and it does not have to agree with yours! We still can have our own opinions in this country, can't we?

Thick family bond or not, - sm
My child would be yanked out of that very strange and potentially harmful situation so fast it would make your head spin! Children certainly do not need to spend their time worrying about death and being subjected to this weirdness. If it costs your marriage to get your son into a better situation (i.e., camp like someone suggested) then it was not much of a marriage to begin with. Your first obligation is to your child.
Buy one of those thick doormats. My cats love SM
to put their claws in that. It is an outdoor mat, but we have it inside. You have to give your cats something they like more than furniture. If you have anything wicker, put that on floor level for them.
You could go and have vet cut the claws some, but they grow back fast.
make it thick - sounds good

Especially when the person you are taking to is about as thick as a sapling. - sm
I have started my own little dieting regimen and it's working so far.
Just eating healthier and being a lot more careful about what goes in my mouth. I'm also trying to add a little more activity every day. I'm pretty sedentary and even just adding a five minute walk around the yard is enough to get my blood moving for now.
I have lost 17.5-pounds so far and going for another 35-pounds by the end of summer.
Good luck to you.
I have long, thick hair. I found over the years that I get what I pay for. So now I pay around 55-60
,
Mine has some slight curl but not real thick. nm

37 y/o and I still have long thick blond hair to my bottom! sm
I have had long hair my entire life...and will probably keep it that way for many, many years to come. I used to be a very blond when I was young, but the older I get the darker it gets....so I do a nice color on it to keep it blond. I have a 13y/o daughter and we are looking more like sisters than mother/daughter..but I am not trying for that at all. I jut love my hair and dont care who else does or does not.
Holy smokes, I have thick, long brown hair
$50.00 for cut and color and my hairdresser does a wonderful job.
I am in a biracial marriage, not thick skinned, live in the deep south, have
a mixed daughter who is 32 years old and she told me going to school she had the best of both worlds. Live in a very nice mixed neighborhood, just don’t know where this person lives who has to be thick skinned. Has never happened to me.
I have long, thick, curly hair and so does my daughter...we use Cowboy Magic..sm
You can find it where horse products are found!! It can be used on horse manes or on human hair. I believe they have a website to, but I have always bought it at our local TSC store. This stuff is awesome!!! It can be used on wet or dry hair. You put about a quarter size amount in the palm of your hand and then rub it through your hair. I use a bit more on my daughter, as she is much more tangled than I get. Her hair always looks so shiney and healthy.. and smells great too!! Give this a try, it should help greatly!
When you say under the skin?
Do you mean you take off the skin, put the mixture, and then replace the skin? Like I said, I'm an newbie with turkeys, so I have to clarify. thx so much!
Dry skin
I have that problem with many products too and my skin isn't dry to begin with but rather oily. Sometimes I am not sure which problem is more embarrasing, the scaly dry skin or the acne.
I haven't had that problem with product though, even when I use it multiple days in a row.
SKIN
Try the "cracked heel" cream made for your feet. I've tried almost every cream made. Also put a finger cot (you, know they look like mini-condoms) from the drugstore over a Band-Aid over the cream. Use the Band-Aids that are made for fingertips and are stretchy and flexible. Put oodles of cream on when you go to bed. Just grease, grease, grease as much as you can. Protect the split as much as possible. If all else fails, try a regular medical finger splint. Idea is to grease and protect so it will heal - kind of hard to do when you use it to make a living, I know! I live in Maine and it happens to me with our low temps, and these all help. Good luck. I would second the 2nd skin. (s/m)
I have lots of friends who do serious road-skating: Downhill runs in the middle of the night, inline marathon races, etc. A bad 'road rash' is basically a burn, (except with some asphalt and rocks 'n' stuff in it!). Most of them swear by 2nd Skin. Allowing it to dry out and scab not only makes it much more painful, but it seems to heal with more of a scar. One time I got a knee & elbow rash at the same time, and allowed the knee to scab, and kept the elbow moistened and covered with a nonstick telfa pad and wrapped that with gauze. It not only healed faster than the knee, but the scar is barely visible. I thought that was the best I could do, but my Xtreme skater friends tipped me off about 2nd Skin. I plan to get some and keep it on hand for next time. There is ALWAYS a 'next time'!
Dry skin on my furkids
I took my big furboy to get his coat taken care of and was told he has dry skin and I should try some olive oil in the food. I used about half teaspoon between the 2 small cans that I give my kids and they are not just liking that. The lady had said I could possibly use a vitamin E on his skin but tried the olive oil first. Anyone with any similar problems and ideas? Thanks
RoC skin care
Anyone use RoC skin care? If so, did it burn when you first began using it. It does say that it may burn a bit when first starting out, so I only use it qod, but geeze, my face is warm feeling. Think maybe it's partly my imagination, but just wondering if anyone else experienced this and if so, how long it lasted. Thanks y'all!
Since when does humidity cut down on the dry skin?
Our humidity here in southern Georgia runs very, very high and I have to use special soap on my face especially because if not I dry out so badly, like flaking skin on eyelids, face, around the nose area. I myself just don't know how it should or does help.
I use it for extremely dry skin -
have a spray of it that I use on my arms legs, feet right after a shower when still a little damp, and I love it. It helps more than several lotions.
skin diseases
onychomycosis
head lice

Needing help with this dry skin...
I have used Vaseline on my face, lips and am using bathing soaps like Dove but when I change my jeans have flakes of dried skin all over the place. What can I use as an all over body lotion that can get help me with this extremely dry skin? Thanks.
I had a friend who had skin reduction
for her arms and the so-called plastic surgeon measured one arm and took the same amount out for both arms. This left a gaping wound that the dodo couldn't close. Mind you the incision was the length of her upper arm. Grrrrr.
That's what I found. Not for older skin.

Moh's procedure for skin cancer
My grandmother used olive oil for everything, especially for her skin
and when she wanted to give herself a facial, she would combine oatmeal and egg whites - i remember how funny she used to look doing that but that woman had the most beautiful skin. For conditioning her hair, she used mayonnaise that she made herself and to protect her hair during the winter months she used avocado and olive oil - after washing her hair she would as she said ' scoop to goop' onto her hair, wrap it with a warm towel for ten minutes and rinse it out thoroughly. She never ever used soap on her face - she used to tell me and my sisters (there are five of us) that soap is the worst thing for a woman's skin...to clean her face she used cold cream (Jergen's and some other kind I can't recall now) but it worked. As an astringent she used witch hazel with a bit of tea tree oil and for scars which was got a lot being little, after they healed over really well she would have us rub a lemon rind with a teeny bit of lemon on it over our skin - it does fade small scars. I tell you, stuff that grams used worked before all of this fancy schmancy manfactured stuff; and I still use a lot of her ideas to this day..
Dead skin floating around.
I thought about that last night as I was sitting at a restaurant. The light was shining through the window just right and I could see all sorts of dust particles in the air. To think that is settling on my food. Kinda gross.
I had a problem with severe dry skin patches also....
I found this Super E Natural vitamin E ointment for $5.00 at my local drug store and it went away almost immediately. Hope you find something that helps!

i also get muscle aches in my legs. i figure it is from sitting 24/7, lol, working. they feel like they would if i had ran 4 miles or something. just a general dull muscleache. I am always cold, i know my temps are usually 97s range, and low BP. my hair comes out by the handfuls if i brush or shampoo. thanks for your explaination. i am going to see if i can't get it and get my levels checked again.
Does Elidel work on very dry skin on the face?
An
I am nearly as bad as he sounds as far as having highly sensitive skin -
I get a red, itchy welt if a mosquito even lands on me. I have also been bitten by horseflies. My doc has recommended just Benadryl lotion on the offending bite and then 2 of the pills. I also put ice on my skin to help with the swelling and itching. You might try this before you take him in. Best of luck. :-)
removing hair color from skin
Believe it or not, a hairdresser I went to used either some sort of burning chemical OR a paste of ashes!!! Had to rub a little harder, but I liked it better than the chemical!
Ohh, Cetaphil, try their soap for dry and sensitive skin!
Wonderful products!
i take hair, skin & nails w/biotin.

home skin care for wrinkles sm
Sun worshiper all my life; now my face looks like a roadmap of wrinkles. I am trying to lose a little weight but know this will make the wrinkles even worse. I cannot afford the fancy dancy stuff at the cosmetic counter. Have tried a few from Garnier, Olay, Ponds, but they do not work. I exfoliate with honey and sugar mask, moisturize, etc., still there! TIA

On your neck, could be skin tags instead of moles
I would never bother moles but have had skin tags removed. They are the little fleshy protuberances that appear, especially around your neck. I had some clipped at the dermatologist's office and clipped 1 at my home with small scissors but the one I did at home was sorta painful. As you age they start showing up and they do return.
GREAT post - gotta be happy in yer own skin!!

I like Bare Minerals makeup and Arbonne skin care
I don't like to look like I have makeup on and the Bare Minerals helps me accomplish that. The Arbonne skin care is pricey, but to me well worth it - I took a year break from it and went back! I absolutely love the Sephora website!
Anyone ever have skin tags removed? Did they come back? Mine are making me crazy!! nm

It's only a teeny weeny piece of skin, for heaven's sake, get real! nm
nm
Its not a little piece of skin - read up on it. It plays a lot of important functions. Google it.
You just need to look around for some FACTS about the foreskin. It protects the glans, keeps the glans sensitive, plays a role in sexual activity, enhances the sexual experience for men, should I go on......Why don't you just read up on it?
OH MY GOSH!
.
oh my gosh!
I have a friend whose daughter got pregnant by her boyfriend. He wanted nothing to do with the baby or her. Guess who got stuck paying child support?? Yep, you got it. The parents of the boy. I have to say, I can kind of understand that.
I worry to death about that with my son and my daughter. They are both preteen and I try so hard to instill good moral values in them. I'm not naive enough to not realize that no matter how devout of a Christian you are, no matter how well you bring up your children, no matter how good the communication is between you and your children, that they won't make mistakes. MY OH MY! One little mistake like that can change your life forever.
I'm going to my doctor here in a few years and tell him I want an endless supply of Xanax or Valium. hahaha. Seriously, that is going to STRESS ME OUT.
Oh my gosh!
Were you married to my ex also? hahaha, just kidding. I totally agree. After 18 years of "staying together for the kids," we called it quits. Things had been really bad for a really long time. I've been divorced for three years now and not only are my children much happier and more well adjusted now, they also have much better parents now that we aren't together. Best of luck to you. By the way, it was 21 years ago today that I married the devil and I just remembered. Talk about irony........
Oh my gosh
I was a huge fan as well, but I was only like 10 or 11 when they were so big. My favorite was Jordan, oh my goodness I just loved him. My room was plastered with posters, I had buttons, had his doll, etc. By the time I turned 13 though I was over it. Puppy love ;-) It was fun while it lasted though. That is a great story.
Oh my gosh, I'm the same way!!
:-)
OH, my GOSH!
You sure CAN relate! No, my baby was not here. I will see her tonight! She would have shivered her timbers over that one! WOW! When she growls it is just a tiny ERRRR . . When she barks sometimes it sounds like she is coughing! She is ADORABLE! Help me, ME2, I am kinda scared to go downstairs now. What did you think about Rick. AKA Herman Munster!
We will have Tyne's party tonight. I sure wish you and Cupid could join us!!!!!!!!!
I always repeat to her three times . . Love ya, love ya, love ya!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TYNE, MY PRECIOUS LITTLE ANGEL.
Gosh!
It's a good thing I'm not transcribing this morning. Far less painful. I'm done now.
