If the gnats are congregated in one area, sticky bug cards will help catch them for you. Or you can kill them by spraying them directly with an ammonia-based cleaner like many glass-cleaning formulas.

I finally got rid of all the gnats. The way we got rid of them was very simple, overnight for some reason I leave the coffee in the coffee pot and they drown in their. I am guessing that they like old coffee, the smell, whatever.

I don't think they are coming through the screens, because we run the air 100% of the time, due to the heat in Florida. My husband noticed them right after we replaced our inside central air unit, because at that time the front door was open.

No, I load the dishes in the dishwasher after every meal and we take the trash out regularly.

I don't keep dirty dishes or garbage and don't have any indoor plants. I found that they love old coffee. They are amazing.

all of those plants are pretty well known -
but how many flower arrangements have lillies - and I had never heard about that. So - no cut flowers either. Nope, he had never had any wet food in his entire life. The vet is still perplexed - we have done renal ultrasounds and blood work. His BUN and creatinines were off the charts. I frankly don't know how he is still alive at this point.

They don't seem to bother my plants
at all. They do, however, ravage my birdfeeders this time of year and throughout the winter. I used to wage war against them but I've softened in my old age. Now I figure they need to eat and survive too so I just let them be.

I love nice smell! I have loads of green plants in my home but would like to have ideas of something I can have on a regular basis inside that gives off a nice fragance. I do not have a clue as to what to buy and I would really like to know of something that would not require too much care. I can do the plants but do not have much of a green thumb. Thanks!

I do have the real things in my home but in the bedroom I have several plants and/or flowers that really need a good dusting. I do not think I should put them under water. I would rather have the real plants all over the house but have to be careful of some because of my furkids. Thanks!

Fruit Kabobs?
I have to send in fruit for my son't party at school tomorrow. I thought fruit kabobs would be a cute way to do this. Can I make them tonight and still be good tomorrow afternoon? I only ask because he wants apples and bananas to be included and they usually go brown on me when exposed to air. any suggestions?

Fruit kabobs? Do you cook them?
Sorry to show my ignorance, but the idea sounds really good. I never thought of fruit kabobs. Do you BBQ, broil or bake? Which fruit combinations are best?
Also, I would add something fun for kids if you have them (and adult easy) by making cupcakes in flat-bottomed ice cream cones with icing decoration. Kids love them. I would also add a relish dish and probably a veggie platter.

coincidentally happen to be TBs. They are a huge throw-away market. Once they are done racing, unless they are one of the incredibly lucky few to be adopted out to knowledgable homes for other careers or are of breeding quality, they usually don't wind up in too good of a place afterwards. I'm a nobody, and I've had 3 of these throw-aways land in my lap. Yes, there are some responsible owners/breeders who ensure these animals are taken care of for the rest of their days, racing career or not, then there are an awful lot of others who see them as the cash crops they are and nothing more.
Great shade plants are coleus, ferns, hostas, begonias

I lightly grill my fruit kabobs...
Simple combinations like strawberry-kiwi, strawberry-banana or strawberry-pineapple are outstanding grilled desserts. Also, mango is really good with any of these combos. Grill the kabobs over medium hot coals for 6 to 8 minutes, turning a few times. They're great as is, right off the grill, with nothing else added. But I find them best with added sweetness, like a very light sprinkling of a sugar-cinnamon mixture or brush on some white grape juice or a very light sugar or honey syrup. Hope this helps..

If you try to contact them, the phone number provided is non-operational and you are stuck. Is this berry product available in retail stores? Also, anyone find any pomegrant (sp) juice helpful and who has the best price on it? Need to lose some "winter weight" and it's not even winter yet. Kind of hard when you sit all day - I know, I know - diet and exercise! Told by my cardiologist to walk but recuperating from surgery, so not that active. TIA

I have been taking them for 8 years or so ever since my pain started to get so bad I couldn't sleep (I know you know what I mean). I was working for a certified nutritionalist/chiropractor at the time. They have helped me so much that I continue to take them after all these years because I'm afraid not to. My plants died when husband still alive but after he died
surprisingly I grew lots of plants and still have them. My housekeeper says he was the devil and that is why the plants died. I was just as bad as you back then, killed artificial plants.
