I love animals; however, I have a life-threatening allergy to dander. Keep your animals home, love them, and enjoy them in YOUR space.

I'm not aware of any standards at public places
And to add to your point about Mexicans, all their dirty business is NOT only under their fingernails. Have you not heard of the gangs they have all over this country...something 13 or another they call themselves. They are viscious, ruthless people, and are going into areas where they think the local law officials won't be on to them. They try to intimidate and scare communities into silence so they can get their garbage drug trade and smuggling stuff going in silence. Our prisons are so full of illegals, they can't hold the legals, but of course, lets not gather them up and deport them back to their wonderful country...lets house and feed them, give their kids a free education better than they're getting there, free healthcare, the list goes on and on. Now, our president wants to make sure they can get SS benefits....for WHAT? In our community, you can go into Wal-Mart late in the evening and our stores are full of young Mexicans, mother, father, and always a baby, maybe 2 or 3, but where do you suppose they were born? The parents can't or won't speak English (since they want to be a loyal US citizen). My daughter teaches a school where the kids abound and their parents are most likely illegal, but until we stop this practice of giving citizenship to an illegal born in this country, this will never change. I'm with Ron Paul on this one....we can't keep a sovereign nation when we allow an invasion of our country. We can't absorb these people into our communities without major negative consequences.
there are usually places where you can get
kitchen cabinets, sinks, and bathroom vanities and sinks and other fixtures that are discontinued models at a discount and if the kitchen is small you can probably find what you need.
Know both places well
Grew up in Texas and have live near or in both what would you like to know and I will try and help.
Want to say this, some of the places
are not what I would consider very nice upkeep. Have been to the Flamingo to see shows but old, run down to my liking, also very smoke filled casino where you walk in off the street. I am surprised has not been 1 of the 1 demolished to tell you the truth. Monte Carlo may be ok- is on the strip. Lots stay at MGM, looks really nice from the lobby view. The Stratosphere is really low on my totem pole, did not like the atmosphere there. You want to stay on the strip I would think, easier to get around. The taxis are costly, ride the trolley, also there is free rides to places. The last time I was there found a place off the strip I wanted to see show- called the hotel and they told me where to catch free ride!! Lots of places offer those- people just don’t know to ask. The buses are cheap enough. Lots of walking- long, long blocks.
Hi, not just the ads here, although I do think that of all places,,,,sm
an MT forum and networking site should be more representative of what actually takes place in this field. There are ads on the internet, TV, magazines, just about everywhere. I think they should tone down the "rhetoric" quite a bit, and stop using hopeful young woman/moms as THEIR meal ticket with mostly UNREALISTIC and misleading "guarantees!" Really gripes me! Thanks for responding!
I got LOTs of it, in different places! Only the

The places where I was able to go in my travels
always had babysitters available for the families. Oh yes to tell you the truth I do have money.
Have been loads of places
Greece, Mexico (5x there), Puerto Rico, Bahamas (4x there, Jamica, Alaska and my hubs fav is Las Vegas (6x there)- I was only in Jamica for a week but had a blast there, so much to do. I probably would save my favorite and most gorgeous (water included) was probably Alaska. Very hard trip for me, so far and I thought only trip of a lifetime but I think I have changed my mind and would love to return. It would be between Jamica and Alaska and I am past the beach thing now. Have a great time!
Been to lots of places
My favorite all-time place for me has to be Salzburg Austria (birthplace of Mozart), if you want sunny beaches the best time my hsbnd & I ever had was Ibiza (one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea). We had two weeks of peace and quiet in a little bungalow. Spent every day lying on the beach, drinking sangrias & munching on paella and fresh seafood. Hiked all over the place. Had to take a bus from the airport to the hotel which was a very interesting ride as I felt like I was in a Romancing the Stone movie (we rode with animals on the bus). Sounds horrid but it was actually fun. My other "beach" vacation spot is Greece. Was there for a week. Lots and lots and lots to do there. Beaches, sightseeing, shopping. Mind you these were the mid 1980s when Reagan was president (and our country was a little well more liked than now), so not sure about safety in other countries. Hands down though I say Ibiza has to be the best if you want a relaxing beach vacation.
Happens at other places - certain posts take over for a while
no harm really - gets people involved and more people coming, etc. It's playful - try to enjoy
Chances are if he's doing it in the same places, (sm)
some urine has gotten under, between, or into the wood panels on the floor. You may end up having to pull those out and replace them. Don't use any kind of cleaner that has ammonia in it - as it will ATTRACT the cat to that spot.
There is a very good product called "Nature's Miracle", and they also make a cat-specific formula, too. It has enzymes that eat the invisible crystals of urine that you can't see or smell, but your cat - with 1000 x's better smell than humans, can still smell. There is also a similar product called "Anti-Icky-Poo" that works the same way.
Be sure your cat has more than one litter box, and try keeping them as clean as possible. Most cats don't like scented litter, so try using unscented only. The hard-clumping kind is the best, because you'll leave less traces of urine behind when you scoop. Experiment with litter depths. Lots of cats don't like it very deep. (Like my cat). Kind of defeats the scooping feature, but having to wash & replace litter more often due to using less may actually be a good thing.
My cat actually prefers NO litter... and either just a bare box, or one with some paper towels on the bottom. Only thing is, that way it's only good for one use, and has no odor-control.
If you use a domed litter box, try removing it. Some cats feel claustrophobic in them, and they can intensify odors inside (like a human's port-a-potty). If it's a big cat, try a larger litter pan. (A plastic sweater-storing box, like you'd get at K-Mart or Wal-Mart, makes a good "jumbo" litter box.)
If you only have one box, add a second. (A good rule of thumb is one box per cat, +1 extra). My cat likes to pee in one box, and poo in the other.
Try putting the box(s) in the spot(s) where he goes. If it's not in a good place for YOU, but he's using it reliably, you can gradully move it about an inch a day to your desired location.
Is there anything psychological that could be going on? (Which is MY cat's problem!) Is the litter box in a noisy place, like next to a washer or dryer? Is there a new cat hanging around outside that he can see and is worried about? (That was also happening here... I bought some cat/dog repellent and spray it around outside every couple days to keep them away from the front door, where my cat can see them.) I also tried spraying some of it in areas where I didn't want her to pee indoors, but with about 80% success.
I'm in the midst of trying the Feliway "Comfort Zone" synthetic pheromone products right now. It's EXPENSIVE stuff! But anything's worth a try at this point. One bottle is a diffuser (kind've like a bathroom scent-thing) that you plug into an electrical socket in the room. I use mine in the corner of the kitchen where the litter boxes are. There's also a spray bottle. If the cat is SPRAYING (like on the walls), they say to spray it where the cat sprays. It's supposed to be pretty effective. But for litter-box avoidance it can be less effective. For that problem I sprayed a little bit IN the litter boxs (she has 3!), and found the first 2 days it worked well. Kitty had a relapse this morning, so I'm hoping that was just a slip, and that the Feliway will keep on helping.
I called Rescue again, and they said that even though she tested negative for a UTI, that she would still have a very low-grade one that doesn't register on the test. They swear by putting the litter-box-avoiding, negative-urine-tested cat on about a month of antibiotics anyway, and that it often clears up the problem.
So I may try that next. The ONLY other thing I haven't tried yet is putting her on an antidepressant such as Prozac or amitriptyline... which I don't think her pet insurance will cover, and I don't think I can afford. I guess amitriptyline is sometimes a good choice, not only for its calming effects, but also it's anti-inflammatory properties.
It's not an easy problem to deal with, so I wish you luck, and I hope I might have had an idea that might help.
Different places when no office available
I have been in just about every room of my house at one time or another. I started out working in the kitchen years ago because I had dialup and the apartment I lived in had only a phone jack there. The kitchen was my favorite because it was away from all the noise--that was when the kids were smaller, though.
I have had a desk in the bedroom before. It was handy when the kids were at school or hubby was home to take care of them, otherwise it was a pain because it was in the back of the house and if they needed something I had to get up from my desk.
The family room is okay, unless you have really loud family like mine. My kids must be deaf sometimes, I swear. Oh yeah and they argue in there over the TV the PlayStation, etc. However, you can deal with some of that from the desk without having to get up. It is a fair trade most of the time.
I had two different mobile setups over the years. One was laptop which was okay, but before WiFi, so expensive. The second, I had a desk on wheels that had everything I needed. I could roll it out to the back porch and sit there to work while the youngest was out playing. This was good for mild weather. Be forewarned, if it is really hot outside where you are, you may have PC problems. I used to have one that would overheat and shut itself off. Ugh!!. Oh, BTW, direct sunlight is bad if you have a laptop or plasma screen, so make sure you have shade!
I currently have my own "little room" for now which basically is the size of a really huge walk-in closet with a window and a door. I shut the door when the kids are home because the words "please be quiet, I cannot hear when you are yelling at eachother" apparently are not in teenager-ese.
Hope this was helpful!
Trading Places.............. sm
Not in a million years would I want a celebrity lifestyle with all it's attendant trappings! I cannot begin to imagine the stress level that comes with it, including protecting one's privacy and that of one's family as well. Too often, I have seen a celebrity or their child brought before the glaring spotlight for America to inspect and dissect because of some err in judgment on their part. Besides, I'm not good enough with money to handle my meager salary, let alone the vast amount that a celebrity garners! LOL
ok, if i ever see one out on its own in public,

Public
I have to agree with "Baptist here". I think teaching in a public school would really make her shine - and public schools need teachers like her!
I am visiting the places you list
My first trip to Wyoming, visiting the Rockies like I said, Jackson and the like. Landing in Salt Lake, Jackson, going down Snake River, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Sheridan, Keystone, Mount Rushmore and listen to this, Bear County USA!! What a grand trip. Your country must be beautiful. I just wish could make to Montana as I hear the scenery there also grand but so looking forward to my trip and thanks for the information! Cannot believe my family turns down all expense paid vacation! My trip starts July 25th.
Oh and hospitals are some of the worst places for it! (sm)
Maybe it is rampant everywhere, but let me just say, people who work all night together in a place where there are beds....
Found several places on line that say...sm..
Do not machine wash, do not tumble dry, and do not dry clean. You probably need to vacuum the heck out of it with the crevice tool from your vacuum then maybe you can Fabreze it to death and leave it out in the sun to dry. I wouldn't use it on my own bed if it still has odors of any kind. Get your face right down on it and breathe deep! They're usually used for bedbound patients that are often incontinent. I think I'd still get a mattress pad or cover and put over it, too, even if you do get it fairly clean. Good luck!
Magnets - especially from places I've been.
.
My kids have their own places - one is married, one is not...sm
but they both still have a key to our house. There have been several occasions when that has come in handy for me and them as well. I think it all depends on what works best for you and your son.
This offends me, the fact that places can get away with it sm
Yup, I'm a Catholic and I have 6 kids. If not for birth control, I don't mean natural family planning, I mean medical ordinary birth control I WOULD HAVE 12, not 6.
As a matter of Catholic principles, I refused to have my tubes tied, that part is true. But I used birth control of all sorts, BCPs, barriers like French letters and diaphragms, cervical caps, IUDs and the like. I still got PG no matter how hard I tried, so I accepted the children and busted my fanny to support them.
For the record, never been on welfare, but had food stamps for two months when the ex stopped helping support them. It was too much hassle for the $118 a month they gave me and I could make that amount of money in the time it took to go and fill out the papers and have an interview. That alone should tell you something about those of us who prefer to work than take a hand out, and about others who line up for hand out rather than work.
As I have gotten lost in what I was going to say: This just pisses me off! A woman has a right to CHOOSE what goes on in her body, from birth control to abortion to you name it. This country was founded on the idea that we are all free to do as we choose, follow our conscience and NOT suffer at the hands of those who would TELL us what we can and cannot do!
EWWWW!
Those places tend to be more expensive sm
Glad you found something that works for you, but that is not the case with everyone. QVC, Catherine's, etc, tend to be more expensive, which is okay for a special occasion outfit once in a great while, but I cannot afford to spend that kind of money on my everyday clothing. Also, if I can't try it on, I usually don't buy it. I have bought clothing from catalogs and feel for me that it is not worth the hassle. Things look one way on TV or in a picture that do not translate well on me. Even in a store, I have picked something up that I thought was really nice and hated it once I tried it on, as I am sure many women have. I am not defending wearing too-small clothes. I am only trying to come up with a reason for someone doing so. You wouldn't catch me dead out of the house in something too small.
We're just trying to stay out of places like
Walmart & malls until we see how fast it's spreading, etc. Seems like every sick person in town flocks to Walmart...
Take vitamins, wash hands after being in public - what else can you do short of wearing a mask?
So, did the person trading places with her have to
Usually the moms on that show have to try to do the other person's job, and it would be interesting to know what happened when she tried doing MT!
He will run out of people, places and things. nm

Public school
I have a granddaughter in the mountains of North Carolina in the fifth grade, who has teachers from you know where.. They should not be in a school setting. One used four letter words and they were not love. They will not go out with the students at recess, so it is a free for all with three to five grades out there all at once. There is bullying and if she says anything, the teacher says she is squealing. I don't think when your knees are bleeding from being knocked down, it is squealing. The third grade was awful. They finally got her moved out of there into another class and the teacher was wonderful. That was about three months before the year was over and that was because they went to the superintendent of schools. Next year was bad and this year is the worse. The teacher tells the student she cannot believe the students are that ignorant, loses papers the students turn in and then gives them a zero. Her mother saved her papers and showed them to the teacher and she had some phony excuse, like she had so many papers to correct. Teachers are supposed to do that. The teacher also has a teacher's aide three times a week and there are only 15 students in the class. She also calls my granddaughter a liar when she says she turned her papers in. She says my granddaughter is to lazy to do the work. My granddaughter loves school, is on the honor roll and would have made the principal's list had the teacher not lost three papers that my granddaughter had turned and gave her the grade she deserved instead of giving her a zero three times. Don't say go to the school and the principal. When they go, the teacher acts so nice and after they leave, she picks on my granddaughter and tells her not to go home and tell her parents things that are not true. The principal does nothing. They have her on a list for a private school and after paying taxes, no one should have to pay to go to a private school, but that is what you have to do. I cannot believe that all the parents do not get together and descend on the principal's office. My granddaughter loves school but not this year because of the teacher. Cannot wait for the year to be over. She has been humiliated in front of her classmates and when a classmate tries to stand up for her and tell the teacher she is not talking or doing any of what the teacher says she is doing, she tells the classmates not to try to take any sides. She is a very loving, sweet, and intelligent girl and what she has to go through every day, makes my skin crawl. When school is out, I am going to write the principal, the teacher and the superintendent of schools and tell them what I think of their teachers. If they did away with tenure, maybe the teachers would take their work more seriously. I never worked for a company that told me if I stayed with them for 10 years, I could not be fired. Ridiculous. The principal does not like to report anything is wrong because in the reports they have to send to the state board of education, the more problems the school has, the less money they get, so they do not report anything is wrong. Report cards were given out Friday and the teacher wrote that she was a very good student, and a pleasure to have her in the class. Why write that when all you do is pick on her. To protect herself when things get tough. Thank you for letting me vent.
Public School
My husband and I have two special needs children and homeschooling was the best thing we could have ever done for them. My oldest child is learning up a storm and my youngest child is going to start being home-schooled next year. We both work full-time and we still find time to homeschool. It does not take as much time as you would think. There is just you teaching your kids and it goes a lot faster and they learn faster. We thought we could not homeschool, but we were forced to as the public school did nothing for our son and now nothing for our other child. You can do more than you think you can if you have to. Good luck!
anyone who has to come to a public board like this
Anyone who has to go on a public board/forum and brag on and boast about ANYTHING- ( about A MAN, no less *L*).....just makes most posters question the credibility of such posters. Anyone who is truly happy....has no need to type all this on a public forum....nor to hang out on one....
the hubby *put you on a pedestal* so now you can reach the keyboard....*lol* -
Now really, all the nasty, antagonistic posters, and in this particular thread, should get off their mommy's computers and go outside and play because from my view, it's a spectacularly gorgeous day outside
*laughs*
Public Pet Peeves
I enjoyed reading the post below about the different "social pet peeves". Does anyone else have any that were not mentioned? Let's see, we had pets out in public, children misbehaving in restaurants, and smoking outside public places. Any others?? Let's share - let yourself be heard!
Some of the public really OJ haters, myself
I watched all the trial, every last second of it and came out with the same conclusion the jury reached- NOT guilty. You and others just cannot seem to get over what a jury decides and their word is final.
It might be public knowledge but
how you obtain is another matter. You cannot get someone in a public office (as stated below) to ramble through a persons records. That my dear is against the law and that is what was said and not only that but if the person committed crimes when a child or teenager, those records are sometimes totally off limits and closed to the public. I also have people in law enforcement but if I needed information, would not have them go through the records to get for me and risk losing their livelihood.
Umm, yes, you were. You are on public board
x
So what exactly has he done for the public good
in the last 30 years?
Yep - lots of places...The Carnegie Deli
The Carnegie Deli on Broadway in the 50s, the Stage Deli same area, and Zabar's on 72nd and Broadway. There are tons more too.
Hope you enjoy, I'm sure you'll enjoy!!! And I forgot, that the hot pretzels ARE delicious in NYC too...they just weren't being sold like that off a cart back in the days.
Oh and then the roasted Chestnuts around Thanksgiving-Christmas time....yummmmm
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
search for *open-ended* MRI places
Open-ended MRI imaging centers is what you need to look for. We have plenty here where I live (Florida)...but MANY people cannot stand the long narrow tube to lay in for hour(s)....just like me! So, keep on searching for open-ended MRI centers!! *S*
I got 3 - yep, places I like..but there is a swap site online (sm)
I saw earlier today for people to swap or sell their gift cards if they don't like them! I got Ulta, Bath and Body Works and Belk.
I have to agree. Places of worship are like family.

Best places to visit on the East coast
In June, my husband and I will be attending the HD Bike Week in Laconia, New Hampshire. If you had to name just two or three places that everyone should see on the East coast {Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, etc. down to North Carolina} what would they be? We will be visiting Maine - that is already on the agenda. We plan to visit Arlington National Cemetary and the Capitol. We have been on the Freedom Walk in Boston.
We have not determined how much time we will be spending on the East coast. Please just name the places you think we should visit if time wasn't a concern.
Thank you very much for your time, assistance, and input. I appreciate this very much!
There are other places to go, much better, in Negril. The Sandals resorts are all sm
very nice, clean, well run, lots to do, good food, etc. There are are 2 RIU resorts, but they are not on the main part of the 7-mile beach and they have their hands out for tips often. Sandals and Beaches (owned by Sandals) employees will not accept tips even if you try. We have been to Negril 4 times and LOVE it. I have heard that about Couples though and also about Swept Away.
While breastfeeding in public does not necessarily
offend me, I think some discretion is absolutely necessary and some things are better done in private. God also made our bodies for procreating, but we wouldn't want to see that done in public, either. JMO.
I need to vent about our public school....sm
My daughter is in the 1st grade. While in kindergarten her teacher became ill and was out of the classroom more than in it for over a month and then ended up having to leave permanently after being out for 2 months. During this time they had parapros in the classroom but all of the kids in her class got behind because of the inconsistent teaching. Finally in March they split the class up and moved the kids into other classrooms, but by the end of the year each of the 15 kids were behind their peers because of the true instruction time they had missed, through no fault of their own.
Now fast forward to 1st grade. Some of the kids had managed to catch up but others haven't, including my daughter. She is now reading on a level 3 and should be on a level 5 or 6. Math-wise she is way behind as well as her reading level is below normal. She is currently in a classroom with 27 kids and has ADD, but it is very easily managed when she is given tasks in small increments and visual cues to work with (i.e. write math problems for her and she can do them but ask her to do them in her head and she struggles).
My husband & I met with the school yesterday because of the concerns about her being behind and in the student support team meeting, consisting of the school system psychologist, special education teacher, her teacher, principal and vice principal, we were told that they don't have the resources to work with her to meet her needs and that by the No Child Left Behind federal laws they don't have to address her needs individually until she is 6 months to a year behind her peers. Why do they WANT kids to get this behind before helping them? We know she is smart - she has an IQ of 92, but she needs to have the distractions caused by the 26 kids in her classroom removed and they won't do anything about it because all other 1st grade classes have 26 kids, and the only one that doesn't have that many is a class full of kids that are learning English. We are working with her at home but it's ridiculous to send her to school 7 hours a day and then tutor her at home because the teacher won't take 2 minutes to explain instructions on a task to her. I told them that I don't want her to have to go to special education in the future because she's behind and that I'd prefer that a way to get her caught up and kept on level with where she would be should be what the goal is - not wait until she's very behind. Their response was "well over the upcoming Holidays we can send home LOTS of things for you to work on with her."
Home schooling isn't a good option for her and her psychologist has agreed that she needs the classroom interaction with other kids. If it weren't for that I'd home school her in a nannosecond, even if that meant giving up everything outside of my regular work day to educate her.
I've talked to a couple of private schools in the area and one school wasn't really any better, has 1 teacher per 20 kids in 1st grade. The other school could take her and has currently 5 kids per teacher for 1st grade with good test results . It's ridiculous that we're being forced to consider paying for private school because the public schools don't care.
I'm sure others have run into these same type of situations. What did you do - continue working with the public schools, turn to home schooling or private school?
My battle with public schools
I will try not to get to long-winded here, but I wanted to let you know my experience with public schools. My youngest of 3 boys has extreme expressive language delay. His first word was at 4.5 and was Mama. No autism, no physical reasons. In every other aspect, he was normal.
After he was no longer eligible for state intervention after 3 years of age, we paid for private speech therapy but that was killing us and our insurance did not cover it. So we decided to enroll him in the preschool 4 year old program the following year.
It was a nightmare two weeks experience. The principal of the school would not let parents walk their kids to class. I was expected to bring my 4 year old nonverbal scared child to the front door and some teacher would escort him. In that two weeks, we had many meetings trying to resolve the problems. In addition, my son began to act out in extreme ways, peeing, screaming, hitting, kicking. It was not normal for him at all.
Finally, that Friday of the second week, it all came to an head for me. My son was screaming and hiding under the steering wheel that morning. I was crying. It had been a nightmare dealing with an insane school bureaucracy to get help, my husband being no help and saying we just needed to give it more time, and my little formerly sweet son acting out so savagely.
I decided that was it. He was only 4 for goodness sake. I went in to remove him from school. I was met in the office (the only place parents could go in the building - I swear this is true!) by the principal and told that I was to leave my child there, leave, or she would call the police!
This woman was something else. She refused to listen to any of my concerns, and refused at all to let me go into the classroom! I literally begged in tears in her office to **allow** me to go to my son's class to help so I could see what was going on. Parents were not allowed to help out in school unless on special days, like field day.
A shouting match ensued - and I mean my mama bear came roaring out. My son was there with me, clinging to my leg for all he was worth, listening to the principal and I scream at each other. Because the principal literally screamed at me back. It was without a doubt one of the worst experiences in my life. Teachers came running to see what was going on...my son's teacher was there trying to calm me down. I left that building with my son and have never been back.
My husband came racing home from work, I was so hysterical when I called, fearing they would take our child away from us. There were phone calls the next couple days from the school superintendent - Oh, we're so sorry. She's a new principal. She will be talked to about this. Come back, etc.
By that time, I was in battle fatigue and scared to death of my child being taken away. Fast forward now 5 years...He is talking up a storm, reading, very good in math, and is back to his sweet and gentle self. We chose homeschooling. We didn't want to really but couldn't afford private schools.
We got swept up in a great co-op that has become our pseudo-school. He takes classes there and has made very good friends. The kids were all very accepting of him from the first and did not tease at all about his speech. Last year, at graduation ceremonies, he read a booklet so clear and perfectly pronounced. One of the mom's put her arm around me because she knew what a long journey it has been for him.
So, that's my story. Sorry so long. For my other two sons, my eldest is in high school public school. My middle son couldn't stand being in school with his younger brother having so much fun in co-op and we homeschool him too.
Non-handwashers in public restrooms...
and they are everywhere! You should be ashamed if this hits close to home!
The worst for me are spitting in public,
it makes me almost lose it and then smacking gum so loud every time your jaw opens and closes, so loud and do not even try to eat at my table and suck, slurp and go on, you gotta go!
Georgia has a no public smoking law...sm
and it's great going to restaurants, stores, etc without smelling cigarettes. Restaurants can only allow smokers if they don't admit anyone under age 18 and they have to have a ventilation system that meets a certain strict criteria with the state.
in other words, he's saying what he thinks he should say in public.

i resigned from public news
Many years ago I realized I was hearing the same news I was hearing 10, 20, 30, 40 years before. I loved radio talk shows, which I still believe to be a very good education. I read the daily newspaper. I asked myself how it benefitted me. I realized it didn't, in fact, it was a very negative thing in my life. I tend towards depression anyway, and I don't need any help, thank you. I stopped any input of news in my home except what is necessary to be a good u.s. citizen. Politics are a monstrosity, but it's what we got. I know enough to get by and make the most intelligent choices I can for me. I don't bother watching all the campaigning along the way, though. I wait until the time is close, then analyze what's out there. Minimalization for me! I believe the world could literally fall into the ocean and I wouldn't know it until I'm going on in. By that time, so long, it's been good to know ya. :)
I meant to say I do that at a public restroom not my own.

Think about who pays for public school.
People in the local district pay school and property taxes, so they pay for their schools. Or, more precisely, they pay for the young people in their district to be educated, since it's not just parents who pay these taxes.
So, no. Students may not freely transfer to other public districts, because their parents or guardians have not paid taxes in other districts.
In our district, we paid the taxes before we had children. We paid the taxes while our children were growing up, even though our children attended Catholic schools and we paid tuition. Now that our children are grown, we continue to pay taxes. I don't mind paying the taxes, because it's part of my civic duty to help to educate ALL the young people in our community.
But having your child occasionally cry in public is...
not a crime. My guess is that some children - not mine of course - just have sour personalities. You, of all people, should understand that!
Are you going to laser your veins? Places here in NY say to have it done on your lunch hour!
