POA......... sm

ends upon the death of the person for whom POA was appointed. The will and the executor thereof then take over. Once a person is deceased, the will is probated and executed according to the terms of the will and the laws of the state in which the deceased resided. While it is true that a will can be broken, names of beneficiaries, etc., cannot be changed after a person has died. That would defeat the whole purpose of having beneficiaries in the first place. Those are the people to whom the now-deceased person wished for his benefits to be paid.
