I admire you for standing up for your child's right to protect herself. But, I think this reply to the poster is over the top. There is nothing in her post that should have elicited such vile from you.

Was you daughter bruised where the teacher touched her arm? If not, then there is really nothing for you to complain about. The do not touch policy is for liability purposes because the school board doesn't want to be sued by greedy money hungry parents who will sue over anything.

Are you aware of the vast number of teachers who are assaulted by students, including grade school students, in this country everyday? Many of them are permanently injured. I've yet to hear of a school board that sues the parents of those children who touch the teacher.

If you look at this objectively, which it doesn't seem you can, you might ask yourself how safe the teachers feel in the schools.
