Deal or Dud segment on items from tv ads. They featured the Pedi Paws last month and had some local dog groomers/vets try them out. It got a Deal - thumbs up. Everyone was very pleased with it. Going to get my dog one for Christmas!

Do you own a television?
She is EVERYWHERE, sort of like a parasite. lol
The best show on television by far..
well written, fabulous actors. I am Italian and I am obsessed with the show...love the mob aspect of it, have all 6 seasons on DVD. Will miss my Sunday nights with the family...HBO is out of our house after this season, although I do like Big Love too.
As a Christian I have to stick up for Pat Roberts and television sm
evangelists. They work hard for their money. They earned their money. If you don't believe in what they are doing, then don't give any. Plain and simple.
After Katrina hit, Pat Roberts and his ministry set up camp down there and helped thousands of people (I saw it first-hand), which leads me to believe that the camps he leads in Africa and Asia, etc., must be real. He "take" other people's money and then distributes it where he feels led. What business is it of yours if that is what he is called to do? And why do you think he has to live in a shack because he is a t.v. evangelist. God is an excellent God and is not sloppy. He wants Christians to live in the Promised Land, full of riches and honey (it is clearly in the Bible). It is called God's blessings. You should read up on it.
I'm sick and tired of Christians and nonChristians who think that just because you live in a big house or drive a fancy car that you are not entitled to it because you are an evangelist. Pat makes money by writing BOOKS and speaking engagements, too, which earns you A LOT of money. Bill Clinton earned 38,000,000 in speaking engagements after his first year of leaving the oval office.
Our pastor who leads a very large congregation, lives in a gated community and drives a Mercedes. I love the guy! What an example! Hey, I'd be worried if he preached the Gospel and about living in the Promise Land and lived in a trailer behind on his auto payments. Please. He travels the country, has written several books and also sells real estate, ON TOP of his large ministry.
Soooo many people are totally misinformed about t.v. evangelists. Just because they are asking for money they think that all the money coming in goes to furnish their lavish lifestyle. I have done my research. That is NOT TRUE!! They make their money in a lot of other ways.
Pat is a rich guy, but he certainly does not make it through giving. Neither does Joel Osteen who pastors a church of 20,000 people. He has a median salary and lives in a mansion.
So, quit being so sick and tired of these t.v. evangelists and all that they have. Have you ever thought for a SECOND that God has blessed them IMMENSELY because they faithfully serve Him and obey His word? God blesses those HE chooses.
Peace to you.
No about Last Comic Standing. CMT is country music television.
!
Sundance station is THE best along with IFC...IMO...
Gas Station during a storm....
Had just left one date at Starbucks, stopped to get gas, cashier and I instantly fell in lust.
Two years and going strong...
When you least expect 'it,' I guess 'it' decides to drop in your lap, lol!!!
Did you watch special on them on PBS station?

Maybe it was the main power station for
the state, everything may have run through it.
There is a new show on TV (forgot the station)
that deals specifically with children that see/speak or feel a presence. I find it extremely interested and unsettling at the same time. Look it up on the interent and contact them. They may be able to help you. Good Luck and Email with any new results.
On 1 Atlanta radio station this morning...sm
they were begging listeners that if anyone out there actually voted for this guy to please call them and explain why. They couldn't get anyone to call in other than folks saying that they are wondering if people are voting for this kid to annoy Simon.
Visit the station rather than call the cops...
Don't call the police. Rather, go to the police station and ask to speak to a detective. (You can call and make an appointment if you don't feel like spending an hour or so in the waiting room.)
You absolutely must get the law involved. You heard this kid threaten to kill his mother. Obviously, his mother is intimidated by him as well.
You can "file" reports without them showing up on the public blotter. By filing reports and keeping the detective involved, you just may be saving your neighbor's life. The cops will surveil the neighborhood on a regular basis and even keep an eye on him. (He's probably getting into no good elsewhere too.)
Also, you and your family could possibly be in mortal danger from this whacko kid as well.
From what he's said and done so far, you can expect this to escalate far beyond your wildest dreams/nightmares. He's not going to give up until you and your family are gone...one way or the other.
Think about it for a bit, but be sure to act quickly.
When I was younger, there was a similar episode with a neighborhood bully where the parents had no control. A bunch of the bully's neighbors ended up taking his parents to court on what I think was a 'show cause' complaint. The nonsense stopped after the court appearances.
However, times are more violent now, and within the past decade or so, these bully types have been blowing away people in alarming numbers. So, don't put your family at risk.
Good luck.

One year really punk rock station starting playing Barry SM
Manilow, Sammy Davis Jr., The Carpenters and goodness knows who else. I never listened to that station, except for that day, only to hear stoners waking up at 2 pm and calling the station asking what was going on.
We eat out mostly at the local pub.
We're lucky to have a real neighborhood Irish pub, and we like to meet up with friends there, listen to music, have a beer and a sandwich. It probably costs us about $30 for two of us. Since we're nearly empty-nesters, it's just DH and I who go out. Big, fancy dinners are usually just for birthdays or anniversaries.
When we're just too tired to cook, then it's "fend for yourself night" . My sons know how to cook. DH not so much. But he can make a sandwich, and there's usually something leftover that he can make. My youngest son is a good cook, and if I ask him he'll usually make dinner for all of us when I'm just too tired to bother.
Also, a Crockpot is a marvelous thing! I love it. A little planning and effort, and dinner is in the pot cooking all day and ready for dinner time.
Do you have a local library?
Cheaper to check them out and return after writing great recipes. Just a thought....
The local car lot commercials
One in particular where the guy is huge and obnoxious and shouts his way through the whole commercial about his cars. Why do they have to shout???
local webcams
These are all so very neat! Thanks. How do I find my own town webcam? Thanks.

You're right - this sure is addicting! Ha! How fun! Here are a couple I have found that are fairly close to me.

I sent my sister a note in a bottle - hope she finds it.
I went to a local store
called Fred's Beds and caught our Simmons on sale. I think the set was only $900. I was thrilled.
Contact your local ACO....
Call your local animal control officer, or if you don't know the contact info for them, the police should. It's their job to calmly address the situation. It's not fair to you to listen to this poor animal all day long. I would also mention that you fear for not only the animals safety, but also your own. I'm sure it is on record anyway from the prior incident but wouldn't hurt to bring it up again. I would definitely not approach the people one-on-one, especially given their past behavior.
I'm sorry you're going through this.
how about a donation to your local
animal shelter or the HSUS in her name.
the last few times I was in our local
all the people working the windows were pushing the 'forever' stamps, telling everyone about the rate increase coming and you should buy some now before it goes up again. One postal worker even told one of the customers if she lost the stamps for 5 years and then found them she'd be able to use em.
Personally, we snail mail so few things in our house these days that when I bought 3 books I figured they will probably last us about 5 years.
Local veterinarians...sm
Ask your local vet offices if they have a bulletin board for flyers. And maybe pet grooming places?
we had a local company that came out to
maybe you just had a bad customer service rep?
I'm 4' 11" and our local Captain D's has taken to
dispenser nailed to the wall above the drink counter. I can't ever reach it. It's a minor inconvienece for me but what about people in a wheelchair?? I refuse to patronize that particular restaraunt and have written a complaint to the company but of course nobody cares.
Local library? (sm)
I actually used to be a book junkie, but since the economic times have gotten so...interesting, and they charge an arm and a leg just for a paperback these days, I have started checking stuff out from the library. I almost won't buy a book these days. Just is not worth it to pay those prices.
Anyhow, off my soapbox. If you have a library nearby they should have most of the books. Charlaine Harris is the author, and she has several other series, as well.

ask your local pharmacist. where I am it was
over the counter RID. but there is probably something new by now - that was 15 yrs ago.

You need to find out from your local
law enforcement if there is a leash law there where you live. If there is a leash law you could get the owner of that dog in trouble.
Is he local to your area?
I've never been in this situation, but if he's newly widowed, perhaps a casserole and a card would be more practical for him than a plant or flowers?
If he's not in your immediate area, maybe you could send him some type of food/snack basket.
I don't know why I keep thinking in the direction of food. I guess I assume being newly widowed and apparently elderly, he might not be in a suitable frame of mind to take care of his nutritional needs. There are so many heartbreaking stories of an elderly spouse passing, and the one left behind simply stops taking care of their own needs and pass shortly thereafter.
I'm not good at dealing with situations involving death, so maybe my suggestions totally suck and someone will have some better advice.
I hope your niece is holding up okay.
Look in your local telephone book..

Well, because the company that has me on file is local, all I can do is sm
forward you to this legitimate website http://www.volition.com/mysteryUSA1.html
You will have to do a lot of legwork and contact the BBB, but it's worth it. Some are national, some are local. I am in south GA. So unless you are local, I can only forward you to this website. Good luck!
Well I complained to newspapers, local TV
station, Fox Network and told them they had lost one viewer even for events such as the Super Bowl if they had no more morals than that. I wrote the publishing company so if a lot of people did that, perhaps it had some bearing, but I suspect there is more to it than just public outcry against the network and publisher.
Is there a local park with tables to have it at?

Local news stations
often have a person who gets on the side of a consumer with a problem. Funny how putting the company on the news gets them to resolve issues quickly.
If you try to handle it yourself by taking stuff, the law won't be on your side no matter what.
Had a lap chole at the local hospital..
several years ago. At the time, I was a checker at a grocery store. My second day back to work a guy came through my line and said to me, "The last time I saw you, you were half naked, in a blue shower cap and drooling." He was my recovery room nurse...

A local restaurant had on its sign outside
AYCE DailEy specials...it was there for a while, but someone finally got smart and changed it. This is a pet peeve of mine, too. It drives my husband crazy at times when I start pointing out all the mistakes I see. I saw one on some papers from school, but I can't remember what it was...but from SCHOOL...hello???
It was on the local news this morning.
There is this contractor in Cleveland, OH (I think) that was doing some remodeling work on this woman's house. He tore down a bathroom wall and the wall was stuffed with $182,000.00 of old money. The money is worth a lot more now.
Ok, here's the kicker. The contractor said he could have kept the money and not say anything to the homeowner, but he would have felt guilty. So, instead, he's suing her for the money siting a "finder's keeper's" law. The woman offered him 10% of either the money or the value of the money and he turned it down.
Me thinks he's kinda greedy. I say that this money was in the wall of a house that someone else owned and that it belongs to the homeowner.
Oh and he also hammered out some more walls, without the homeowner's permission, looking for more money.
JERK!!

I got one to the local kitchen shop.
My mom knew I needed new pots and pans, but as I am so picky, she just got me a gift card so I could go pick my own.
THANK YOU PAT!!! This is amazing! I am now searching for my local sm
charity, Teen Challenge of Georgia. Wow! I'm so glad they are on there! They only had 29 cents in their acct. so far for 2008 and after I searched a few names I jumped them up to 31 cents in about 2 seconds!! I am SO excited because I search ALL day long MTing. I am thrilled that they will earn a little something through my efforts! Thanks!!
If you have a local craft store
like Hancock Fabrics or Joann Fabrics, they might be able to teach you the basics. You could also check with local quilting clubs - you might find a new hobby and meet new people this way.
I get mine from a local butcher.
The butcher uses meat raised locally, and the quality is very good. I've found that the specialty butcher has prices that are lower than places like Heavenly Ham. Check in your Yellow Pages under "butcher" and make some calls. You might find a great product at a good price, and you can support your local economy.
Odd question about local channels...
Okay so here's my scenario:
I live out of town. I have to have directv because we are too far for cable. Supposedly we cannot get our local channels through Directv, but antennas are going obsolete in February. So, how do we get our local channels?
I mainly want to be able to know about the weather, especially when its bad since two years ago we had tornadoes that wrecked the area and The Weather Channel said we had scattered thunder storms!
I have Direct TV and get local channels...
call them and find out if they are available in your area. I also get the network feeds from New York and LA, which is especially great to be able to watch things 3 hours earlier (I'm on the west coast) and I can still be in bed by 9!

We were introduced in a small local
hole-in-the wall bar we both hung out at by one of my friend's husband who was a mutual friend. Been together for 9 years.
