Not intending to be racist, but have noticed in our area Sonic Drive Ins (sm)

are now being purchased by Indians and immediately all the poles around the building are being painted green. This is not one but 3 different ones in 3 different towns that I have noticed. I suppose the green signifies something. We live in a relatively small town and now the only motel in town is owned by Indians, 1 of our 4 gas stations/convenience stores is also owned by Indians. Now the Sonic, which is one of 3 drive through restaurants.
Eventually we won't have to worry about our MT working going to India, they can just do it from right here.

Racist remark from tax person
This person has done our taxes for about 4 years now- she knows lots of added expenses we can take as husband drives a truck as does her husband and they work for the same company. Going to get some pizza yesterday saw the tax lady and stopped to talk a minute. My husband is very shy, keeps to himself a lot and even his family has told me the same, just not forthcoming- I am exact opposite. When we fill out taxes I am always the one speaking up. We have a mixed marriage and yesterday the person asked me how much schooling he had?? I said I don’t know- believe it or not he never wants to be forthcoming about much about him, always saying things like lets talk about something else. Tax lady then asked me if he were "slow" as she had a "sorta retarded grandchild" that lived with her for awhile. This man is no where close to retarded or slow- he is a terrific chef, can build anything he wants, repairs all items around the home, self-taught guitarist, keeps abreast of all news- can discuss anything. She said some blacks not offered the same opportunities to go and finish school like whites. As we were talking her phone at the office rang and I told her I would see her later and left. What I want to know, how should I approach her with her terrible misunderstanding of a guy who hung the moon for me? I really hate to think because of his being naïve, shy, not in your face type of person that he is "slow." Your comments.
I think she was rude and obnoxious but not racist (sm)
She just sounds ignorant in general to me. I would have someone else do my taxes just because this woman appears to have been raised in a barn.
Btw, I never did see a racist remark in your post.

ok then i'll retract my above post (racist cop)
said that she, the burger flipper, told her supervisor - or did I read that incorrectly?....if she told her supe and they said go ahead and serve it....I'm going back to reread that story.....but thanks for keeping us informed - I really wish I could take that post back......
Well said and I guess the other poster thinks the people on the news are all racist as well! lol

Yes - I have noticed this too
As I recorded the show last night on DVR cause I was working, and I watched that whole 2 hours of nonsense and didn't even get to see who won because it ran over and my DVR stopped recording. Had to find out who won on the internet this morning.
This is what I have noticed.
People who say they hate cats are usually controlling people by nature and don't like the independent nature of a cat. They prefer dogs as they can control them. That's what I see.
I have noticed the same.
My whites being dingy. I do not buy cheap detergent but I do not buy the most expensive either. I am a bit limited because of allergies though. I usually end up using bleach after a while because I do not know what else to do. I recently purchased Tide to see if it would help because I had a good coupon but I really do not see a difference with that. I would appreciate suggestions of others too! :)
I noticed that too
to burn him at the stake. Now, it is like he is some sort of God. LOL.
As far as doing transcription, I would think they would enter the hospital under an assumed name. I know at the hospital I worked at people would come in under a different name if they didn't want to be found by a gang member, abusive husband of whatever.

Noticed your plus-size??
I hate to be the one to tell you but the average size now in the states is a 14. I in no way consider that plus. Oh, to be a 14 again. See shoulda checked before hand- now that is not politically correct because it makes us hefty girls feel sad!
Only noticed 1 time-
My big furkid went to get his "haircut." He had gotten mats all over him and long haired. They sissified him, powered him up with stinky stuff and put this little decoration around his neck. He had enough, and he was lifting his legs high and walking backwards. I took his kerchief off and he is much better now.
Haven't noticed anything like that here
And I live only a few miles from Oklahoma City, which is Sonic HQ.
I for one have noticed pain when I sit with my leg
was better. Then last week I caught myself doing it again and now pain is back. I also have had less problems since loosing 50 pounds (more to go).
Exercises also will help. The more exercising I do, the more I can sit for longer periods.
I have noticed the British

Did you noticed all the AI candidates are sm
very outspoken this year. They seem to tell the judges why they did certain things certain ways and why they won't change it. In the past the candidates were pretty timid.
I've noticed that in many...
tv shows too, even when they are speaking the drug name they say it wrong. I lmao. But I think they have to unless they have the manufacturers permission to use it or else they could get sued. But it's still like an inside joke to me whenever I hear/see it.
one thing I noticed is now we are
starting to see similarities because for the first time we are developing pictorial references and can see some of our ancestors. I have a pic of my grandfather as a young boy and my nephew was almost the spitting image of him. My uncle was almost a dead ringer for his grandfather whom none of us ever knew because he died young. Before 1900, most everyday people never had images of themselves made, and only a few had it done for deceased as it would be the only one ever made. You are right, it is fascinating. Just think, they all had their own stories.
I've noticed this too but it's not just
I am amazed at how many women my age do not sew, mend, cook or clean. They hire everything out to be done for them. I don't get it. I do a lot of these things for the satisfaction of saving money and keeping a nice home. Am I just weird?
i think the doctor has to have noticed.
and i would certainly switch care providers, because in my opinion, his priorities cannot be right if this gets by him.
I've noticed
that the gab board is quiet today. Everybody working hard or what?
I have very much noticed and commented on this
some time ago. Why otherwise females would want to have their rolls showing under the tops is puzzling to me. I am heavy and I never wear anything that emphasizes the fat rolls. I don’t wear the real oversized tops either but I don’t like for the upper arms to wave so usually do longer or 3/4th sleeves. I guess the females out there just really do not care what others think. I wonder if any have full length mirrors on just do not care what others think or them. Ugly is a word that comes to mind.
Have you noticed how her mother never has tears?
She has pretended to cry, dabbing a tissue under her eyes but there are absolutely no tears. Her mother is just PO'd she isn't getting the baby's inheritance and that's the only thing she's upset about.
What I noticed, not the artificial leg movement but
even her upper arm movements were so stiff, like a robot. Not only is she unpopular with most in real life, do not see her staying long on this dancing program.
Yeah and have you noticed all of those who tell us to LEAVE
have absolutely NO suggestions for us? Just leave! I bet these same women had mothers or friends or someone to actually HELP them out. If I were to leave my husband on my 18,000 a year salary and 3 kids - it would be a lot more miserable than him not listening to me when I speak.
Ever noticed how much dogs communicate? LOL!
I have a 14 year old Dachsund who was just barking to go outside, and I usually say, "wanna go out?" and he runs for the door, but I accidentally said, "you ready to go?" and he got a very serious and excited look on his face because he thought we were going somewhere. I tried to explain to him that we were not going anywhere and I kept saying, "wanna go out" but he heard what he heard and he is ready to go!! LOL
Have you noticed that anytime 1 of the performers
decides to go on the offensive as Scott did when he said he was satisfied with his performance and thought good (as did Megan) and others, the voters out there just do not seem to like it and they are voted off really soon? Now when Lil was getting a bad evaluation the other night, she was not standing there saying she was satisfied and that was that and she stayed and Scott went. I really think people pay close attention to that and it does not pay for the contestants who want to do their own thing their own way. Just does not work out well for them. I did not see Adam the other night but saw Danny and as usual thought very good. I think it is going to be a guys only when all said and done.
Has anyone noticed their hair shedding more right now. My seems to be coming out more. nm
:
I noticed them in the scene where they found the other hatch
And I wondered what they were doing there, especially when they weren't really featured very much on subsequent episodes.
If the entire purpose of that episode was just to give us background on Ben's plan to coerce Jack into operating on him, that's old news. Sure, Nikki and Paolo are nice to look at, but having an entire show about them was a waste of time IMO - unless they have some unforeseen influence on an upcoming event, which would mean that they would have to be rescued SOON.
It's a shame, so far I have enjoyed ever episode of the second half of this season, each more than the last, until now......
Why is that about the male child? I have noticed that in my own family
Great advice by the way on the journal. There are so many things in this life that we cannot comprehend "in the thick of it", but later become crystal clear.
Boy I sure did YESTERDAY! Just signed on this a.m., haven't noticed yet. nm

Has anyone else noticed food prices going SKY HIGH???
Seems like everything is outrageous anymore!!
Ah, noticed what you posted "peanutbutter" and "to die for"
right now that does not sound too good in the same sentence. Another person died again yesterday from the peanut butter salmonella.
Just noticed my daughter has blisters all over palms of hands..sm
some look as if they have blood under them, as they are a brownish color. She has one on her foot also. nothing in mouth or anywhere else. She said she noticed them this morning, but just now showed me after swimming this afternoon. she says they hurt to touch? Any ideas?? I hate to run to ER if nothing that cant wait until tomorrow when doc is in. TIA
P.S. I have ink in the cartridge and I have noticed that if it sits between printing pages then are
okay but if you run a lot at once they get really light after the first one.
Got a computer question. I have a mouse with a wheel on top but what I have noticed lately is the
screen you are typing on will sometimes keep rolling down by itself. Is this a mouse problem or computer problem. It just keeps moving down by itself.
I've noticed the rising costs of groceries lately
I believe the cost is partly to blame for the obesity in this nation. It is so much more expensive to try to eat healthier. I can make pizza for my husband and 3 kids for under $10. Yet, when we have chicken, potatoes, a vegetable and bread -- it's closer to $20. Of course when I serve the "full course" meal, my kids expect dessert, too. Is there no end?
I actually found myself stocking up last week on eggs because they were on sale and I knew I'd be making deviled eggs for T-day. I bought 6 dozen eggs. I have never bought that many eggs at once before in my life. But I saved 75 cents a dozen.
It looks fun to drive, too! -- nm

So who is going to drive them to the
bank? You? I doubt they have a good enough credit rating to get the house, so just get your paperwork in order as quickly as you can and see if you can beat the competition to it, no matter who the competition is. While you stew, a whole other person might come in and snap up the house you want.
I can drive myself where I want to go! nm

low sex drive
Yep, I feel your pain. It IS part of the menopausal cycle. Already talked to my doctor and a PA about this. Guess what? There is nothing that they can do. However, through my own investigation (and watching Oprah) there are bioidenticals. I went to a seminar in my area about it. I believe it can help, but it isn't cheap. Google this and read up on it. It's very interesting. You can try over-the-counter creams, they help somewhat, but they don't "get you in the mood". That's the hard part. Good luck!!
My mom noticed this when she started glaucoma meds a couple years ago - sm
Her lashes are so long now that they actually hit the inside of her glasses lenses! Amazing.
Jealous of what? Because she can drive
NM
Hard drive?
Hello...sorry for the beginner question, but if I purchase a hard drive, are they generic to any computer? Or do they need to be specific for the computer they are going to be put into? It's going to go into an HP Pavilion. I just want to get a 40GB hard drive that doesn't cost too much. Any info. would be appreciated.
There is a bar w/ a drive thru store
across the street from our apartment complex. One morning around 10/11am I saw a school bus go through there. I'm sure he/she was just picking something up for later but it just looked bad!
That's prey drive for you.
With Siberian huskies, I know all about that. Sasha has been known to catch birds, moles and squirrels. Misha got herself a rabbit once. I could see how proud she was, marching through the living room with it before taking it back outside. No I don't like it, but then again there are also hawks and snakes trying to get them also, even in my yard.
Sasha enjoys eviscerating a squeaky stuffed toy, but it's a pale comparison to the real thing for her. Thankfully she just carries the real animals around once they are gonners. It is unfortunate, but it's only inside the 6-foot privacy fence that they're in danger. Wish I could keep critters out. I even get snakes back there, but so far those just make Sasha bark for me to come see.
When we go to pet stores they would be happiest if they could spend most of their time in front of the small animal cages. They really want me to get them a ferret or rat, but that's not going to happen!
Drive your car to death
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- By keeping your car for 15 years, or 225,000 miles of driving, you could save nearly $31,000, according to Consumer Reports magazine. That's compared to the cost of buying an identical model every five years, which is roughly the rate at which most car owners trade in their vehicles.
In its annual national auto survey, the magazine found 6,769 readers who had logged more than 200,000 miles on their cars. Their cars included a 1990 Lexus LS400 with 332,000 miles and a 1994 Ford Ranger pick-up that had gone 488,000 miles. Consumer Reports calls the Honda Civic a "Good bet" to make it to 200,000 miles.
Calculating the costs involved in buying a new Honda Civic EX every five years for 15 years - including depreciation, taxes, fees and insurance - the magazine estimated it would cost $20,500 more than it would have cost to simply maintain one car for the same period.
Consumer Reports' "Good bets" for making 200,000 miles: Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, Honda Element, Lexus ES, Lexus LS, Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Highlander, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Prius, Toyota RAV4
Consumer Reports' "Bad bets" for making 200,000 miles: BMW 7-series, Infiniti QX56, Jaguar X-type, V8-powered Mercedes-Benz M-class, Mercedes-Benz SL, Nissan Armada, Nissan Titan, Volkswagen Touareg, V6-powered Volvo XC90.
Then it is worth a drive. I'm sure you will have a

And why do they have to drive in packs?
Everyone bunched up. Almost like it is an insult if someone passes them. I prefer to stay back and take my time. I think it's funny that everyone seems to end up stopping for the red light anyway. How much sooner do they get to their destination - 5 minutes?
