Well, that one's covered lol
I have been keeping a log of what I do on a daily basis for a year - ever since my gd was dropped off with me - to keep a record of who contacts me, whom I contact, by what method of contact, what happened/was said, etc. I never thought about that aspect of accusation of parental abuse, but the bruises are obviously in the healing stage - no swelling, etc. Everyone knows I don't go over there anymore except to let gd visit with her, and since I'm under a court order with her custody, I am very careful what I do and say. When I got there yesterday, she wasn't home, so I waited for a while. Her boyfriend pulled into the driveway and dropped her off about 15 minutes later, so he is aware of her condition and that I haven't been in contact with her.
I've been trying to reach my sister tonight to ask her to go over and take a look for herself. Don't know if she will do it or not, but I do have another sister who has witnessed some of what I've seen and she might go. I also have police reports where I had to call them when she got lost trying to visit me at my new home and was found driving in circles in an intersection, uncertain which road to take...just circling, circling, circling....
Yes, insurance covered it.
There was a pre-certification process, which included photographs. Ugh. It took about a month to get the approval. It was 100% covered through my insurance.
2 of the 3 were covered by insurance
We changed insurance plans back and forth between my husband and I during those years and 2 of the 3 did pay for it. We paid for the second child's circ and it was only $110. We really didn't have the money for it at the time, but since we had circ'ed the first one, we thought we should be consistent.
We also had both types of circs -- the first one had the Plastibell, which I did like better because I don't think it's painful at all. The second 2 had the surgical circ, but it healed much nicer and quicker.
I think you are right that my kids probably wouldn't have had much of an issue with the teasing if we hadn't circ'ed them since it's become more common not to do the circs. But after my husband's ordeal, he wanted it done and I didn't really care one way or another. I think hygenically it will be easier for them when they're crusty old men. EWWW!
It would be creeper for me being covered by
a quilt or by a quilt made out of my sister's clothes, just lying there.....
The fact that you are doing quilts does not excuse or justify everything.
I would prefer to WEAR her clothes, period. Do not try to manipulate me into something.
Little Smokies in the crock pot with a jar of

I always use a crock pot for roasts.
A few weeks ago I cooked a pork roast in the crock pot, put a few whole potatoes in the microwave until they were almost done, then cubed them and added them to the pork roast in the crock pot along with a can of golden mushroom soup and tiny carrots. You could probably also add some peas or tiny onions but I didn't have those.
Or you could cook the roast it in the crock pot then shred it and add barbecue sauce.
Can you tell I'm no gourmet? Simple is my middle name.
What a crock of crap!
First of all, my child would not attend a school which forbids dancing, rock music, hand holding, etc. For him to be suspended if he takes his girlfriend to prom at another school is ridiculouos! What he does on his own time is none of the school's business. The school sounds like some kind of cult or something. I say they can go f*c* themselves.
Forgot to add I cook it covered. (NM)

I'm cooking a roast in the crock sm
that I took an envelope of dry onion soup mix, and two cans (hated to spare 'em) of Coke over the top. It has been in the crock all day for me to whiff, hmmmm.... Needless to say, I can't wait to see what it tastes like. I hope hubby and the kids like it! I do not usually use my crock, but I got this great crock pot recipe cookbook last week from the library, well, I think I'll renew the book.... There are actually recipes for cakes in there, too! Could you imagine a chocolate cake with pudding in the middle that you've cooked in your crock pot all day? The book is called Fix It and Forget It! I love to cook, but when there's lots of typing to do, the quick stuff comes in handy-dandy! lol That steak and "stuff" you guys are talking about sounds great!
I plan on putting them in a crock pot with
the roast and potatoes to cook all day. so maybe they will be okay. Thanks!
No, what a crock. The only thing I have read - sm
is tea tree oil and also coconut shampoos deter them, but whether that is really true is another matter as well. I just went thru *ell with the little critters in September. Still trying to get my kids hair back to normal, both have bad dandruff now from the lice shampoo and it has been 3+ months since we got rid of them.
I also think my Crock Pot cooks a little hotter
Still, I love it, and have since had some success with it.
yes, sorry, meant to put macaroni in the crock pot not the box :)

LOL .. Thanks now im CRAVING choc covered strawberries UGH!!

Illnesses, accidents, shots are covered....

Bring something in a crock pot that you can plug in at the office & set on low.

Roast Beef and Sauce in Crock Pot
Any kind of roast, but works well with eye roast. You can pan oil quick fry it to seal in moisture, but I have cooked this without pan searing as well.
Stir together, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp ground garlic, 1/4 cup of oil, 4 tbsp vinegar, and about 1 tsp of ground ginger.
Pour over roast and cook in the crockpot. Depending on the size, I would do high for a while, and then down to low. About 8 hours or so. I've made this both in the crockpot and in the oven, so time varies.
I think it's a crock. Either talk radio or nasty
xxx
I put mine in the crock pot and they just fall off the bone
Although that wouldn't be an option for you now since it takes all day.
What??? No Queen Anne Chocolate-Covered Cherries??!! lol ;-) NM

AP just covered the story so quite possibly true comment. How sad.

Nope, insurance never covered any of my plastic surgeries but
I still had them- several- just like I would finance this also. This is definitely considered cosmetic unless used for the original eye problem it was intended for.
Check a few recipes on foodtv.com to get an idea. Moistest fish is covered

what's a hot brown?
sorry to be so uninformed! I'm betting it's a sausage. Sure does sound good, my mouth is watering! but I think it might give me heartburn too! :)
If you think you have a brown recluse
bite, I would suggest going to the ER as soon as possible. Untreated, the bite could fester and cause neuropathy. The daughter of a friend of mine was bit, waited, and infection took place. She has a very bad adverse reaction - she is now on disability. This has been 2 years ago. Better to be safe.
Encyclopedia Brown
There was always some sort of crime or mystery to solve, and at the back of the book, you would find out how Encyclopedia Brown solved it. Also loved Nancy Drew books and Judy Blume.
Alton Brown's website
Check Alton Brown's website for recipes. I am a pretty good cook and make Christmas cookies for all of our neighbors and friends every year. Cookies or not, if there is something that I just can't seem to pull off I go to Alton Brown. I have not found a recipe of his that hasn't worked for me yet. It took me 15 years to make a pie crust but I was only able to do it well with Alton Brown's recipe.
I know he also has some recipes where you can make 1 dough and then divide it to make 4 different cookies. I think his black-and-white cookie is that way. Also, marshmellows are not difficult to make but they are so impressive and everyone loves them! It's a little messy with all the powdered sugar but the kids LOVE to make them. Its minimal ingredients and its like a science project when it grows in the mixer. You can also get extracts and make mint marshmellows, strawberry, whatever you want. They go great with hot chocolate. Actually I think this year we are only doing those and sugar cookies because everyone loved them so much the last few years. and maybe some fudge, to give me an excuse to make it. lol
Brown/Goldman families at odds now
it has been all over the news- Goldman wants the money, Brown family speaking out saying should not get, I think they consider it blood money. Never would have thunk that 1- huh, seemed so buddy-buddy at 1 time and now on the outs.
Alton Brown's "The Chewy"
I've tried all of the chewy chocolate chip recipes out there, and this is the best by far. The recipe calls for giant cookies, but for Christmas, I make them mini-sized, using about 1 heaping teaspoon of dough per cookie. They bake faster, so watch them carefully. I also add pecans to the recipe. I've made them with bittersweet chocolate chips and macadamia nuts, too, and those were INCREDIBLE.
Be sure, however, to really take your time creaming the butter and sugars. And let the melted butter cool to room temperature before mixing with the sugar. The creamed butter and sugar should be thick and fluffy and smooth, almost but not quite peanut butter consistency. If it's not, the cookies will go flop when they come out of the oven, and they don't look as pretty. They still taste great, but they aren't high and pretty.
I can't get the link to post, so here's the URL: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/the-chewy-recipe/index.html
Chris Brown charged with 2 felonies
He should get some time for the beating. Once a beater.......
Try Alton Brown's suggestion for the amount of
grounds to use. As he points out, you can always dilute. Here is the article:

All I know is that when I had Dish, if we
had 1 raindrop I lost service. Got rid of it the minute my contract was up.
Dish
I have never had any problems with Dish - they even let me have a package most people don't know about - and probably don't want. - I pay $6.00 a month and gey my local ABC, CBC, NBC & Fox channels - and for some reason I get another channel that keeps changing - right now it is the Hallmark Channel - sometimes it is the biography channel and sometimes Animal Planet -this is a good plan for us because we are trying to cut down on watching TV - and it helps us save $.
We used to have dish
Don't know what Direct TV is, but we used to have Dish. Excellent service. The only problem was when it would get windy it would knock it off track and DH would have to readjust it, but was no big deal. Very easy and only took a few secs to move back into place. Never had a problem with interruptions otherwise. I loved it and would get it again. We now have cable cos it was the best deal to get cable/internet/phone all in one package.
Had all 3 and Dish is my fav!!!
Cable in our area stinks. Direct was better than cable, but not near as good as Dish. The options available on Dish are so much better than Direct. Little things, like being able to check the guide while still watching a show and looking up the info on another program and how far ahead you can check the schedules. It's been about 6 years since we switched from Direct to Dish, so maybe they've changed, but I'd go for Dish. They are by far the best.
Not a dish but...
I have a box for chocolates and a basket on my computer tower under my desk with a bag of jelly beans in it. Everyone started raiding my chocolate so I had to get creative and hide it in another part of the house entirely. lol If anyone else has this problem, the bathroom is great! Its up on top of my tallest cabinet behind a stack of decorative towels. :)
There are books also by Sylvia Brown or watch Montel Wednesdays.
My father passed away 5 years ago on 12/25 and I also would like to get some "sign" from him.
Holy smokes, I have thick, long brown hair
$50.00 for cut and color and my hairdresser does a wonderful job.
It's weird, but I'm a brown rice fanatic and weight starting to come off (sm)
I bought a little rice cooker because me and my guy were hungry some nights after working out and we got hooked on rice as kind of a lowfat, low cost, no frills snack. I've gone crazy for it for some reason and eat it sometimes 3 times a day. I guess it's the complex carbs, but it's also seemed to reduce my craving for simple carbs; I'm eating less bread, much less soda, and craving fewer sweet things. I make a batch and keep leftovers in the fridge and reheat if I have a snack attack. I figure, it's better than most of the alternatives (processed, high fat, etc.)
Purulent foul-smelling brown liquid was drained...

I wouldn't trim beforehand either. Just wanted to second the pineapple-brown sugar preparation
toothpicks & maraschino cherries. I place the ham in the center of the pan, do the "diamond" studding with cloves, surround the ham with pineapple slices (have to admit it, I use the ones in heavy syrup),& then off & on sprinkle more brown sugar on top of the ham & pineapples & use a baster to douse the ham with the juices. Hubby had never had a ham prepared that way before let alone with pineapple - now he looks forward to it!! Guess my age and teachings are really showing here :o)
Alton Brown. I like that show, too. He also hosts Iron Chef America.

I'm having a hard time too - Charlie Brown's Christmas music has helped some (sm)
It hasn't been very cold around here...parade yesterday we were sweating. One thing that has helped me is I got the music CD from Charlie Brown's Christmas and have been listening to that and watched the little cartoon. That has always been one of my favorites. But I'm just not feeling it much either this year! I think the fact that the stores put the Christmas stuff out right after Halloween and sometimes before just makes it all seem like another day! And for me these days it just seems like a time of year where I have to spend money. Anyway, you're not alone :-)
Hark the Herald Angels Sing on Charlie Brown's Christmas sm
I have the whole CD from Charlie Brown's Christmas and enjoyed it so much last year! Will start listening to it again this year after Thanksgiving :-)
you forgot - any mayonnaise containing dish
any dish with mayonnaise cannot be eaten if left out, uncovered, for ANY length of time.....
there are many dishes one cannot eat if left out....general rule is no more than 2 hours on a buffet table or any table for that matter, in my opinion.....cheese comes to mind too left out.....
food safety is very important and the USDA allows certain things that also shouldn't be allowed....
ever read Consumer Reports? I read in there that the govt (USDA) *allows* a certain amount of rodent feces and rodent hair in things like cottage cheese and canned tuna (the latter I love).....and I read that a long time ago....
better to be safe than sorry.......
If I was landlord and OP did dish thing to me,I would

Cable tv versus dish
Can anybody give me their experiences with cable televison or dish, specifically Dish Network or DirectTV?
I am considering getting one of these but don't know which one to go with. Thank you!
have had all three, Dish Network superior
if you have an HDTV I would not recommend cable at all. It may not be true for all cable companies but Adelphia looked horrid on ours. Had Dish Network years ago and they were horrible in the customer service department...never again!!!
