You make sure you have a good battery.
A battery up here in Michigan lasts about 3 years, then you're gambling on whether or not it'll start. I carry jumper cables in the trunk just in case. It's not that bad.
LOL, hubby and I had a car that would not start if the temperature was less than 10, even with a new battery. It would start if it was 11 or 12 even, but if it was 10 or less, no way.
My cousin's dog died because of one. The battery went dead and the dog got hit by a car. Very s

A 'Panic Mouse' battery-operated toy is great - sm
for young, frisky cats. Mine has kept 2 consecutive cats occupied, but currently it's set aside with a wire that came loose inside the it doesn't run. (Have to get my brother to take a look at it.) I also have a cat-video, but kitty has to be in just the right mood to watch it. She also enjoys GOLF!
Try rotating cat-toys. If they lose interest in some of them, hide them for a while, and when you bring them out a couple weeks later, it's like they're brand-new to the kitties sometimes! I also made a toy that hangs in a doorway. I sewed a mini-mouse to the end of a long shoestring, attached to a stretchy ponytail holder and then to another shoestring (the ponytail holder gives it some fun rebound when the pull on the mouse and then let go). It's hung from the middle of the doorway by a small nail. That, too, sometimes has to be set aside, but when it's kitty's toy of choice for the morning, it sure has her jumping high!
Finally, I feed the birds, squirrels and hummingbirds outside my bedroom window, and the cats like to sit on a tall dresser next to the window and watch them.
Back when I used to work away from home all day, I used to hide cat-treats in various places throughout the house for my cat to hunt for during the day. My first cat could find them ANYWHERE... her nose was like radar. My second cat, however, had to have them always hidden in the exact same places, or he couldn't find them. Still, it was a nice diversionary tactic I used just before I headed out the door each morning.
At other times I put odds and ends on my kitchen table intentionally for a bored cat to come along and knock off the edge. (Plastic spoons, an eraser, pens or pencils, hair clips, cat toys, hair scrunchies, etc.)
Cameras are pretty notorious battery-eaters. -sm
The more-expensive batteries said to be made for electronics usually have a longer life. Still, it never fails - my camera will scream, 'Low Batteries!' right about the time the PERFECT shot is in front of me, and I end up missing it.
(Grrrrrr)
Since I use AA's for lots of things around the house, I buy large quantities of the generic brands when they're on sale, and when I'm out taking photos, or on vacation, I make sure I have plenty of spares on hand.
Another battery-saving thing you can do is turn off the digital display. I rarely use it anyway, except to look at and weed out photos later, and I prefer to use the viewfinder. That can save on power.
I love my digital camera, and have saved so much money on film and developing, that it has more than paid for the camera, let alone the batteries it eats.
Mine is on the Yahoo toolbar at the top of the screen.
Do you see the Yahoo toolbar?
I use a nonalcohol screen cleaner for my LCD screen and it leaves a film all over it. Nasty and
it is made for LCD screens and a well known name. Any suggestions. I have to use clean water on a wipe to get the film off.
I have an Acer LCD screen for my computer and sometimes I see the screen getting darker and then
lighter. I hope this isnt going out already. It is fairly new.
you could get rechargeable ones.
My kids all have digital cameras and they use rechargeable batteries.
Last question, if I buy rechargeable then
do I need a charger to go along with those?
Let me tell you another 1 you can try if pig runs out
Love those zits, huge ones but when you have a chicken you have bought at the store where the feathers close to the butt have been plucked, sometimes you can still get stuff out of there, nice gooey stuff. Posted about my big furkid had to have his anal glands cleaned the other day- get this, veterinarian started and it squirted across the room. Said tell them next time so they could do it again- I almost told him to show me how it was done- he has no idea I like that kind of stuff. On an exhusband he started out with slight bump and by the time I got through it had his whole face swollen but OMG, he eventually had to have that lanced at doctors office. Heck, I missed out on that 1.
I went on quite a few runs...sm
We live in a part of the state that is very secluded and we were the only shelter for four counties. I took a LOT of animals over to the west side of the state (which is a good five to six hour drive one way...lol) after work or on the weekends to bigger shelters over there or to breed-specific rescue groups. I know the feeling all too well of wanting to save them all. It is really hearbreaking when you sit down and think about all the animals suffering in the world...makes me sick to my stomach.

It runs in my family- sm
I have adult ADD. I suspected it for a long time, especially after our son was dxd in 7th grade. We're both on Strattera. I really don't know how much it helps my ADD, but I do know it helps my restless legs a lot. What I've been able to help most is the memory problem - like walking around the house with a wind-up kitchen timer if I leave the kitchen while I'm cooking - can't tell you how many meals I've burned.
The concentration thing is an ongoing problem. Right now I should be working, but I have to check the board before work, AND my email, AND the TV listings, etc, etc - Then once I get working I remember I forgot to hang up that towel, or forgot to get a cup of coffee, etc, etc, etc. It makes for a very long work day sometimes.
Whether or not you are dxd with ADD, you can use the same strategies to help, but, if my experience is common, there's no one thing that will help - Just keep trying out things and find out what works for you.
A River Runs Through It
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters.

It give my cat the runs.
I usually just give him very little milk after I drink my cereal about once or twice a week.
The charge runs out
Your power goes out and you can't recharge it.
You have an accident and drop/damage it - you're instantly phoneless until you go get a replacement.
You can't remember where you left it, and don't have another phone to call it so it will ring and you can find it.
Yes, it runs in my families I got it from
my mother. My mother had high blood pressure all her life and never took any medicaments against it. Some people just have high blood pressure and taking medicaments might even do more harm than good. My mother is very healthy and now in her 60s.
I, too, do not take any medicaments, none.
Even worse....the cart runs into a car

Demand that he runs Free T4/3 on you.
Free is usally not the lab sheet to check off. He has to write it. I would *demand* he runs labs again with Free T4/3.
Who runs your life, the receptionist?
You don’t have to have one anytime. That decision is yours, not her's. If you never stepped foot in their office so what? I go when I want to go, not when someone tells me I have to go.
LCD Screen--sm
First, you are not supposed to use any type of cleaner except one designed specifically for it. no Windex or such. I use a *microfiber* cloth, damp. It works just fine.
Second, I have NEVER pulled out my eyebrows and used pencils or brushes to make them look fake. God gave me what I have, and that is all the *beauty* I need. Take it or leave it...don't like it? don't need you in my life. JMO. :^)
Where I got my screen name..sm
Well I have always had pretty much platinum blonde hair since a teenager. It isn't natural but I always dyed it very light blonde and still do. Hence the name blondie. When I put in a screen name somewhere years ago blondie was taken so it gave me blondie_1147 and I have used it since.
LOL. It doesn't plug in. It runs on batteries.
It has some kind of sensor in it and it can only be used with certain books.
Definitely think it runs in families. Both parents, 1 sister
and I all have hypertension. I take 4 different meds with another one for p.r.n. use. My is pretty well controlled most of the time. The highest it got was 230/140.
My screen name is a bow to the Beatles (sm)
George Harrison is my favorite all-time musician. I love him, love him, love him. He made the guitar sing. I love the Beatles as well.
I've never seen Paul in concert. He was never my favorite Beatle but wrote my favorite Beatles song (Lady Madonna), but I'd never pass up a chance to see him in concert. Are you going to see him?
I absolutely love the music around the time of Revolver and Rubber Soul.
Screen colors
Back in the day when having a color monitor was a big deal, white on blue seemed to be a standard default (thing WordPerfect for DOS) and worked well. I've also worked on black on blue, black or white on red (until my officemate and boss both asked me to change it because it disturbed them) and black on green. The really old monitors where it was green on black or amber on black worked well, too. Maybe what you really need, though, is to just make the letters bigger. In a Word-type program, making the screen letters (does not affect print output) 130% to 150% of the chosen font size really helps me.
Screen names...how did you come up with yours?
So how or why did you come up with the screen name you use here?
blondie_1147, deenibeeni, cherrychecked, phillygal, LinK, Just the big bad, backward typist, gourdpainter, PAMT, PAMT~MDM, mtmomof2, Twiters, XanaX, Silly Girl, Old part-timer, SkateGirl, Just Me, starving artist, Horski, Lolabug, GabbyChick, Kendra, sbMT, Kaydie, Marmann, Amanda, Stardust and all others?
IMO a current PDR (Physicians Desk Reference), which runs about $200.00 (sm)
but WELL worth the expense.

Are you flashing your computer screen?

I had blue screen errors sm
Turns out my memory in my computer was corrupted, then I took it out and they sent new memory and turns out the motherboard went bad, so it had to be replaced. Might be your motherboard, hope its under warranty! But try removing the memory from under your computer.
Blue Screen for Vista
1 - First Check for the Vista updates.
2 - See your power settings, like auto turn off hard drives, monitor, hibernate, sleep etc.
3 - Run Spyware & anti-virus.
4 - There are few reports that Adobe Reader causes the Blue Screens in Vista, you should better uninstall it.
If not solved, then it's hardware issue, consult your vendor.

I just use the answer machine to screen calls - sm
if its a recorded call, it doesn't record. If it's a sales call, they rarely leave a message, and if they do, I erase it. If I need to be available to family members, I tell them to identify themselves in the message, and I'll pick up.
I use the answering machine to screen calls too--sm
if it is something important and they begin to leave a message, I will answer, otherwise I won't. Most of the time, they will not leave a message.
The do not call list is helpful, but not for everything. If you really want to take the time, you can answer the phone and before they start their pitch, tell them nicely that you wish to be removed from their call list. They are supposed to remove you. If they call back after that, you can report them to the do not call list and they will be fined for it. Also ask for the name of who you are speaking to. Sometimes two or three different people from the same place have your number and even though you ask to be removed from one person calling, the next may not know that and call you anyway. It took me almost a week of doing this on a daily basis and eventually the calls stopped. It takes time, but it works. oh, heavenly peace and quiet!
Does anyone that has a digital camera with only the LCD screen and not the viewer know where you can
find a shader to put over the LCD screen for washout.
I am using gray screen and black type. (nm)

My mom was so addicted the QVC logo was burned into her TV screen
Made watching movies hard. :-)
I just installed a new ink cartridge in the HP and now everytime I turn it on the screen comes up
about printing the alignment page. I dont know how to get rid of this screen coming up all the time.
Two things. Every time I clean my LCD screen with cleaner for it it gets streaky. How do you get
rid of the streaks when you clean it. Also another issue, I got tired of always pulling out eyebrows and I am letting them grow in. Anymore do this and how bad does that look.
Just bought a Kodak digital camera without optical viewer and find the LCD screen is very difficult
to see what you are taking in bright sunlight. I just read on the internet this happens with many cameras. Any suggestions for this. I dont want to spend tons of money on a camera because I dont use them that often but I am not very happy with this. I tried to get a camera with the optical viewer but almost none of them except the really high end had this. A lot of people complain about this LCD washout. Just wondered if there is any fix for this without getting another camera. This is a Kodak Easyshare. Great in cloudy weather or inside but the sun is another story.
The pc screen. I scanned again and it stopped. I dont think I scanned the alignment sheet properly
the first time.
Don't know about your God, but mine
my God is more forgiving than that!
She is not doing anyone any harm, so to say she will burn in h*** for celebrating the fun part of Halloween, not evilness, is the whole reason I do not attend church!
I never did it with mine. For one, I would have been
too embarrassed. My mother used to do it, but we have come a long way since then. I find it kind of primitive. I think nothing is wrong with it in your own home, but in public, I really think you should think about it. There are all kinds of weirdos out there and you just don't know what is in their minds. I see nothing wrong with breastfeeding INSIDE YOUR HOME, but there are folks who would get offended by doing it in public. I would not be offended, but really...I think you could put some of that breast milk in a bottle before you go out.
Mine is up

Mine did nothing at all, at least he went out and tried - sm
more than my DH did, though mine did ask me what I wanted, I told him, he told me to go buy it. This is typical for him. He used to get me beautiful jewelry for b-day, Christmas, annivarsary, that lasted for about 2 years or so, then it has been buy yourself what you want. I do not get bent (what is the point) though a little effort on his part would be nice. He did surprise me on our 10-year anniversary though this year, got me a beautiful opal necklace. As for the kids, my one daughter gave me 2 things, my other nothing, but she gives me wonderful drawings and such all the time, she just has a selfish streak I guess and does not think of others only herself. I just talked to her about this, maybe in the future she will remember our little talk and some good will come from it. My DH needs to learn somehow to have the kids get things for mom on special occasions, yours does too it seems. My neighbor has the same problem with her husband. Basically they are lazy people. He does none of the shopping, gift wrapping, packing to leave (except for his stuff of course), etc. He did buy 1 or 2 gifts, which I of course wrapped. This will probably never change until the kids are gone and he is an old man. I have seen it happen but not until grandchildren are on the scene and these men become model husbands for some reason, whether it is out of boredom or fear of the wife finally saying "I'm out of here, go fend for yourself", or they get struck my lightening, who knows, but beating yourself up about it is not the answer. If you are truly unhappy, get out, or kick him out. But if this is his "flaw" then either live with it, and buy yourself what you want each year or do something about it. It is your call how you deal with it.
