Do you have a zoo membership? sm
We have one and it's great - not only have we saved every year more than the cost on admissions to the zoo (we all enjoy it) but other zoos across the country give you a 50-100% discount for having the Atlanta membership.
AAA membership is good for everyone to have, too. nm

Dump the gym membership
If you want to never work out again, buy a gym membership. I don’t know what it is, but whenever I’ve had a gym membership, I’ve worked out less. You can jog, ride a bike, do push ups, pull ups, sit-ups, and various other exercises without ever stepping foot in a gym. This could save you up to $50 a person, per month.
Gym membership? A massage? Weekend away for

Just called the ASPCA yesterday to renew my membership
I was with them several months ago but changed banks. I appreciate the work they do with the animals and commend them and glad to be a part of their work.
Netflix
We gave our children subscriptions for Christmas and it is working out great. Even my 14yr old is being responsible enough (and should be, but isn't always) to keep the envelope and get the movie back in it and in the mailbox and within 2 days she has a new movie. This time of year we have a lot of snow days so it has been a lot of fun.
Really like Netflix
I never rented many movies either just because of the hassle of drving 15 minutes to the store and back, all the new releases always being rented, plus smelling like a cigarette after being in there for 10 minutes. I do the 2 at a time/unlimited plan, which runs about $15 a month.
Netflix
Mainly because we've been with them for years. They do have an EXCELLENT selection, especially of little-known and obscure movies. My son is a big anime fan, and they have a huge anime selection.
Netflix
Multiple levels of membership, you can change as often as you like, say if one month you will be going away for a couple of weeks you can change to a cheaper/less movies membership, and then back to more the next month, and so on.
As the other poster said, a huge selection and rarely any kind of wait even on the new releases.
They also now have *watch now* videos you can watch on line included free with your membership.
And they are so FAST! I just put 2 in the mail Monday morning and got 2 more today (Wednesday).
Lately I have been renting a lot of TV shows I didn't get a chance to watch the first time around. I just watched a couple of seasons of Desperate Housewives in a row. What fun!
I've not tried Blockbuster as I've been with Netflix a long time. But no reason to switch IMO.
This is just wrong on so many levels.
I just don't feel sorry for people who get involved in stupid situations like that. I'm not even going to comment further on the stupidity of this.
ammonia levels
Does anybody know what causes a person to have high ammonia levels in their blood? What is the treatment for this?
We did Netflix a few years ago too.
Absolutely no problems with them at all. Only stopped subscription because there was just no time to watch them all. I'm wicked rural and the closest movie rental store is maybe 45 minutes away and there is no Blockbuster for a good 200 miles believe it or not.
Even our little po-dunk post office (so po-dunk we have to share it with another town!) has a special "Netflix" slot! I thought it was hilarious considering an awful lot of folks 'round here think any sort of technology has to be the devil's work.
netflix question
When they advertise instant movies over the internet, does anyone know if you actually download these or if this is a constant "streaming" of the movie? thanks for your help!
I feel bad for you on many levels but your kids....
I do feel so bad for you, sounds like a no-win situation, but I also *read* that you let absolutely everything about MIL bother you and i think (opinion only) that you should pick and choose those battles (little battles) more carefully, trying to see the BIG WAR which I think is what you want to try to win.
I think you should develop your own talents, hobbies, expound on yourself (after your children) and find your own *nitch* in life. Competing (your word used) with a MIL never works. I was lucky, mine lives in France. *LOL*
Best of luck, will pray for your situation!
crime comes from all socioeconomic levels....
white-collar crime has been around for generations...
nothing shocks me anymore.........
illegal. it's disgusting all around on so many levels.

Let me clearly state that this is abuse on many levels.
I'm another one who has BTDT...17 years ago, but when I read something like this, it seems like it was last week.
I remember exactly what my state of mind was when I finally was able to realize I had reached the end of my rope. That alone took me 10 years to figure out. I was overwhelmed with what lay beyond the escape I could not imagine being able to engineer. The fear was paralyzing. It would have been nice to have help and support, but I was so ashamed that I could not seek it or accept it. I ended up learning how to take my anger and turn it inside out. I transformed it into self-empowerment.
I am sure there are plenty of people who would like to help. You just may not know who they are or how to find them, but they're out there. Everybody's situation is different. It would be helpful to know where you live (town or city and state). I would be more than happy to help you gather some information, but need to know the geography.
Also, what kind of support system do you have beyond your household? How many kids? What about friends and family? Any possibility of staying with them, or would you feel safer being in a location your husband does not know about? If you are an MT, your job is portable....a huge help in this circumstance.
Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with and see what we can help you come up with. This kind of thing probably has a better outcome if you have a plan (especially in view of your children and their schooling), but even without one, it can be done.
Let me be the first to assure you, life is really sweet once you get yourself and your kids to the other side.
Prior progesterone levels were perfect...sm
so that's part of the "how did this happen?" question. These are the only 2 times I've been pregnant. With the first pregnancy we never had a heartbeat registered on sonogram. I'll know more in a couple of hours today what the end results of the labs are.
Netflix -- fast. Love it.

Netflix gift subscription
Netflix offers gift subscriptions in monthly increments...pretty cool. The only thing is, the subscription will continue unless the recipient cancels before the time is up.
Time to get the thyroid and hormone levels checked AND
s
if the sonogram was not wrong, for the future you may want to get your hormone levels checked. sm
a lot of times when women have multiple miscarriages at the stages you are it is because their hormones are off, in particularly low progesterone. if this is the case, in the future it can be corrected by taking progesterone at earliest sign of conception until about 11-12 weeks. so ask questions as to what your estrogen/progesterone levels were on your lab results today. have you carried any children yet to term? wish you the best of luck and pray for a good outcome......
My DH also works for post office, but hates Netflix (sm)
His job is to keep all those post office machines running, and he says those Netflix envelopes jam them up!
If you have a Netflix account, you can watch online for free.
The membership is fairly cheap. My husband and I have one and watch movies online on their site all the time.
Limbo. Great song, great game. Also,
The girls all line up and walk through a room as if they are modeling on the catwalk. Get a couple of bright colored boa's from the party store. It's a real riot and the kids have a blast especially if a couple of brave boys grab a boa and do it too. We've had many a birthday party doing this and it was totally hilarious.
Wow!! What a great attitude! I love that - great perspective!

What great determination and help from a great friend! :) nm

I am sure that you are a great mother and a great cook,
and that you tried everything, now try the 'hunger diet'.
Great one! Thanks!! nm

That's great!!
A great big congrats to your daughter! She is so fortunate to have such a supportive and helpful family!!
Did he say anything at all about how great a new job for you would be? I'd keep an eye on him as
s
Wow, that's great!
We had always said 3 and that's when we stopped. They are all teenagers now. Wouldn't change a thing either.
That was great.
I'm glad they did that. What fun. Not only was he thin, but his clothes were nice. No jump suit. I preferred his hair when it was his natural brown rather than the black dye job.
That's great - sm
I'm glad I don't need them anymore then! Also check with your state regarding laws about those things. For example, in Florida you are only allowed to borrow 500, in which case I would be weary of anyone offering more. Thanks for the tip - looks like you should be advising me!
Great, thanks!
I listen and take all ideas I can.
My mom did it and it looks great.
She did not fill in the cracks, and it looks great simply painted.
DS, he does a great job.
e
For her age, I don't think she looks great at all
isn't she around 20? She looks more like 30 and haggard half the time. Oh, and you too can have that body with the cocaine/alcohol-only diet! Get real!
She is such a piece of garbage. But they say her mother is too (was desperate for fame so pushed her daughter into the spotlight) and her dad as well (didn't he just get released from prison)?
Sad.
That's great! Another one sm
I haven't seen Chuck and Larry yet, but will definitely ignore the reviews and see it. I love good comedies.
Another one, if you haven't seen it, is the Wedding Crashers. I thought it was just supposed to be a silly romantic comedy, but my daughter and watched it on cable last weekend and I cannot remember the last time I laughed out loud, spewing drink laughing, in some time. See that movie.
I think it would be a great job (sm)
True they don't pay real high but you are at your kids school, no child care costs, good benefits, and summers off - sounds pretty good to me!!! They are hard to get where I live also though. Best wishes to you!
That was great. Thanks. (nm)
.
Great Job
There should be more people like you!
They have been a great help to me
in dealing with a similiar situation with a family member. Sometimes you hear things that you don't want to hear but the people in these groups have been in your shoes and they understand what you're going through like no one else.
I got to do this. It was great.
I contacted her because I was going to the 20-year reunion. I couldn't talk her into going, but I did get her to meet me for another trip back home.
There was plenty to talk about. It was great.
Have a great
weekend everybody
Thanks. Those were great! nm

They are not that great...SM
They are great for a while, but then if the DVD player breaks, you are stuck with a TV with a broken DVD player and end up having the buy a whole new DVD player. If the TV breaks, you are stuck with a DVD player that you can't use because the TV part is broken. I would not recommend getting a TV/DVD player combo. I know many people who had had these problems with them. I would buy each component separate so that if one thing breaks, you only have to replace that.
That was great! Thanks. nm
!
Great tip! Thanks!
Thank you for that website. I'm going to check them out. Thanks to everyone for all of your informative posts on this subject. You have all be very, very helpful. I appreciate you!!
That's a great one!...sm
Rhinoceros where stomping out fires (the fire brigade)...We wore the tape out watching it so many times...I suppose it's on DVD by now. Thanks for reminding me of that one! Cat
This is great!
This is the greatest thing I have seen in a long time. I just cannot stop laughing. I know I will remember this one for as long as I live! Thank you so much for this holiday memory. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. (I did not mean to yell, just consider it a loud voice LOL.)
