There are a couple of things you should know. First of all, the legitimate agencies will not ask for money up front or any kind of fees. They will require you to have head shots if they choose to represent your son. My son's agency had open calls twice a year looking for new talent. There should be no fees associated with open calls. Secondly, call around to some local agencies and find out if they have open calls. All I had to do was take some simple pictures at home with my camera and send them out to the agencies. They will call you back if they are interested. Next, if your son were to be represented, please be aware that it is a pretty serious committment on yours and his part -- meaning, that you have to be ready at a moment's notice to take him to auditions or bookings. I once had less than 24 hours' notice for a movie audition that was 500 miles away, but we threw our stuff in the car and took off!! I hope this info helps!!
