That space-age memory foam stuff
has some problems. People find that the way it conforms to your body and doesn't breathe is HOT. It also lacks certain spring that a normal mattress has. How can I say this delicately ... married people's beds aren't always just for sleeping, and memory foam doesn't do what you expect a mattress to do. So I've heard. I never had one.
Better to get a mattress with a mixture of foams and/or springs. My hubby likes to turn a lot in bed due to all his aches and pains, so we got a Simmons for the control of transfer motion and we got one with a soft pillow topper to ease DH's tender hips and arthritis aches.
Memory foam/Tempurpedic knock off
I bought each of my kids a Tempur imitation a few years ago through an ebay store, and they still LOVE them. Haven't been able to afford more than a 2-inch topper for my and DH's bed, but it still is worth its weight in gold to me. My SIL had an authentic Tempurpedic and returned it to the store after a a few days--couldn't stand it. To each his own I guess, but I will definitely never buy another coil spring mattress again.
My son got a memory foam and the thing reeks!! UGh.. some people have allergies
s
mine LOVES coconut lime verbena from BABW. LOVES it
it's the smell -- just smells "clean" plus i think it reminds him of me ... weirdly, even my teen sons say it smells nice and clean and they like it too! smells bring about different calms in people... no way should you worry.
Latex foam works best for me...
Expensive, but worth every penny and contrary what the sales people may tell you, they outlast the standard innerspring mattresses.
Mocha - 2 shots, nonfat milk, extra hot, no foam and a straw pls.

memory
Yes, I have noticed it as well. They had done studies on this and from what I have read, our memories are fine, but we lose some retrieval speed, simply because we have so much stored in there.
It is similar to a filing cabinet - if you start out your business in year one, you will have a handful of files and you can get in there and grab what you need immediately. However, as the years go on and you get more files, it takes longer to go through and select what you need.
I just carry a little notebook with me all the time and write down anything I need to do. It helps tremendously.
I think I'm losing my memory
I know as we get older we all joke about it because it seems to be true for a lot of us. But, do you ever worry that it could be something more serious? For the last 10 years, I've noticed that I can't remember numbers any more like phone numbers. I used to be very sharp and have a good memory but now I rely on notes. It sux!
You have one heck of a memory...sm
I can't even remember what my screen name was! I do remember the story about mysterious rocks in the yard, though. Some of those stories were hysterical. Glad to see you haven't lost your sense of humor. Remember how weird things turned during the guess-the-item/person contests?
I read that he is going to have memory loss....sm
and that later he is going to fight to get Sharon back, so maybe that is a rumor. I hope he and Sharon end up back together. It should have been Phyllis that went over that cliff!! Sorry - got riled up
you just brought back a really funny memory
When my daughter was young (way, way preteen), probably the age of your daughter, she was in dance and they put on performances where they had to wear makeup and really a lot to be seen by the audience.
Well, we took her out to lunch after one particular performance without wiping her face (I mean, it was a real production to get this stuff off -- especially the lipstick because they used this kind that doesn't come off easily).
I thought the waitress was going to flip. She gave us the coldest reception and was extremely rude. At first I did't get it, but then I looked at my daughter in her jeans and T-shirt and face all made up --- I explained to the waitress and she immediately changed her demeanor.
I guess I was dumb for not removing the makeup first and I can't remember the exact circumstances, but it seems like we were in a rush or had no choice or something... anyhow, hadn't thought about that for a while...
oh and my bottom lash isn't bald but if I don't wear any makeup at all, I at least put a little liner underneath, so yeah, I think it's okay (but I don't know what you look like lol). I'd love to have the permanent tattoo done, but the little dancer is in college now, so mom's beauty will just have to wait!!
What is your favorite childhood memory?...mine is catching..
lightening bugs in an old mayo jar at an aunt's cottage on the Beaver River in western PA while the adults played cards in the screened in porch late into the night. What I wouldn't give to go back in time just once more!
dysphagia/dysphasia, quick memory tool
dysphagia = G for GUT. The food won't get to my GUT.
dysphasia = S for SPEECH. I can't schpeak when I'm schlurring my words, LOL.
short arms, short-term memory loss...
I too suffer from Short Arm Syndrome. Add to that the short-term memory loss that middle-age brings and I have now discovered I need to lasso the &*%$ reading glasses around my neck or my day will be spent wandering in circles asking the dog where my glasses are.
I have two pairs, per advice of doctor. I do not wear glasses all the time, so he thought I was not ready for bifocals. My son gave me a wonderful eyeglass case for Christmas that is big enough to hold both pairs should I ever venture out of the house amongst the living.
I did manage to find some "sporty" looking around-the-neck-eye glass holder thingies - what DO you call those things? I'd use twine before getting those multicolored beaded ones. I have a neon coral one and an emerald green one. Too bad I can't find the former, I can't remember where I put it.
Oh, and he SAYS he loves her dog.
Muslims aren't supposed to have dog saliva touch them. Curiously, he LOVES the dog but I have seen him raise his LEG to the dog and the dog cower. Psycho wacko freak job.
My dad has one. He loves it and so
do I. Just couldn't afford one myself.
The only man I know who loves being
He says he enjoys it..it is peaceful and quiet...when the wife and her kids and grandkids come home it is like WWF. Chaos, screaming, yelling, fighting. No wonder the boy drinks!

My husband loves them

Oh, I had those hugs and loves and all
in earlier years, the works but you would be totally surprised what a chunk of money can do to a person. I never would have thought in a million years and I did instill good values in the kids and never for 1 minute have thought I have failed. I would bite my tongue off before I spoke to a parent of mine like this 1 did about my getting the money. You hear about families fighting in the courts about property left to 1 and not the other and money and things like that- it is not unusual and even though he got over $50,000.00 from this family member, he thought he should have the rest of what was in the bank which I got. It can happen. Oh, by the way, raised with stepfather that both seemed to be pretty close to. I know this sounds harsh but I will not take abuse from him, from my husband or any other person. His father did not give 1 red cent for his upbringing- I did that all. Oh, this son is married so he has his wifes family and that is all he thinks he needs anyway. I do not lose any sleep over this. Never a pushover here and do not intend to start now.
Ditto! 27+ yrs together and he still says he loves me EVERY day, AND thanks me

Loves of my life are
the 2 male cats my hubby brought home from Wal-Mart, some guy had them outside. Guy said found beside road, who knows and really how cares. They are wonderful, gorgeous brothers, long coats, black and white and I love being able to stroke them with 1 hand while still working (do a lot of editing so can do this). I had them fixed at an early age and believe in that but still will feed any stray that comes in my yard or I see out anywhere.
My cat loves cantaloupe
She goes crazy if she even smells it when we open the refrigerator.
My 19 y.o. daughter loves him. nm

You find out what the kid loves the best
and that is what you take away. I have 2 children, both grown. Whereas 1 thing would work with 1 (taking switching and YES, I do believe in them), the other 1 would do anything to not have a switching. So 1 kid did not want to stay grounded and the other did not want the switches so that is exactly what they got. You have to take away anything that pleases them the most. I would go with the thing she likes the least which here appears to be the in school suspension (and it would not stop just at school, punishment should continue at home as well.) You say think barbaric? I went to a very big school as teenager, no fights, no cussing, no acting out- you know something? I would almost guarantee that all got switchings/belts/swattings, or what I would call almost down home beatings and everyone that I knew and grew up with knew how to get along, the majority turned out well, prosperous, good humans. We did not suffer, instead I am thankful for the times I was punished. That is what has gone very wrong with the kids now. They are so out of control. I would never think about talking back to an adult, teacher, parent or otherwise. I had total respect and still do for my elders.
My DD loves hers. Interesting. nm
xx
I get them all the time...everyone loves them

I understand that your dog loves you,
but your dog is a pit bull and they can attack spontaneously whether they are provoked or not. There is no way to predict it. Why risk someone's life?
I don't have any dogs because my husband is allergic to them, but I would absolutely love to have one because I understand they can provide that kind of unconditional love, and frankly, we all need that! I would never, however, choose a breed that is known to be unpredictable and dangerous and could maim or kill someone I love or a stranger walking down the street were I too slow to close the door or forget to close a gait securely and an accident occur.
There are lots of breeds that demonstrate the kind of dedication and love that you describe. My mom has a mixed dog (Pyrenees/St. Bernard) who is a genuine companion to her. She is obedient and trustworthy and gentle. You can get a dog who genuinely loves you who is not a pit bull. I truly hope you never encounter a time when your dog misconstrues your actions and you trigger some instinct that tells her she is in danger, or that you are in danger from another person. Tragedy could strike so quickly.
When a man loves a woman got
me going, as well as Ghost and Simon Birch, believe it or not. DH thought I was crazy.
Very cool! I bet he loves it! (nm)
My daughter loves
the swaddle blankets that have Velcro for keeping in place when you wrap them up.
Since you are not supposed to have them wear coats in the car seats, she lays that in (is pretty thin, buckles the baby up, and then wraps it around (over the buckles). He looks like a little hot dog when she is done. :)
She has also been using it in bed at night. They say not to cover babies up anymore, but his little hands were cold and was not sleeping well. She swaddled him in one of those blankets, and he slept so much better! Being so young he could not move enough to get it unhooked or get it over his face. He will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. :)
My 14-year-old son loves to read too...his SM
favorites are:
Harry Potter series
Eragon series
Lord of the Ring series
Chronicles of Narnia
Series of Unfortunate Events
Alex Rider series
Left Behind Series
...there are many other series, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
Chickadee
be happy he is in her life and loves her
nm
Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond
Repeats of Raymond still make me laugh!
I don't either. If she loves your brother, that means she SM
should love you too, or, at the very least, respect the love you have for one other. She doesn't seem very loving.
My stepdaughter just got booted out of house by my stepson DH bought for the two of them by his new girlfriend. Doesn't exactly sound like love.
If you love man, you must love family or at least try to get along.
Sorry you had a bad time. Again, I don't understand this behavior. Life is easier when all get along and life is too darn short.
My cat LOVES vanilla pudding
He's only had it a couple times when I had to give him medicine, but the second he sees that little cup he goes crazy!
I just love when people kid about who a dog loves most! SM
God love em, what they bring to our lives is just not adequately said. You gotta feel it. He is lucky to have you!
My 9 y/o daughter LOVES Ace of Cakes
I don't think it's weird though. I also really like The Deadliest Catch.
I must be the only one who LOVES driving at night.
When I was a kid, I did a lot of long-distance driving with my dad, and we were on the road a lot at night. I always loved that. It seemed so cool to be out on the roads at night when most of the world was tucked into their houses. It always seemed like an adventure. And then, I'm an avid backpacker and have been known to solo. I love the woods at night and the sounds of owls. It's lovely at night when it's quiet and dark.
Within the last 30 minutes I walked in the door following a 3-hour ride, mostly on the PA turnpike. It's not late, but the days are short now. I purposely left as the sun was going down, because I love watching the pinks and oranges of sunset. The moon is full tonight, and I saw the moon rise tonight, too. Che bella luna! It was just beautiful.
I have a dependable car, and if I were in trouble, I know basic mechanics, have a cell phone and AAA. I also know that most people are good people, and so that's how I choose to live my life ... counting on the good and appreciating the beautiful things. It makes me happy, and I'm well aware that the time is approaching when my eyesight, joints and muscles might not allow me to enjoy the simple things like driving at night or setting up my tent along a trail somewhere. So I'm doing it while I can!
My boxer pup just loves the snow as
well; he is the first boxer I have had that I actually have to make come in the house. He runs and slides he buries his head in it, eats it, just has a gay old time. My golden who just died about 8-9 weeks ago loved snow as well, he would dive in and make doggie snow angels. :-)
HA! My cat loves to leave little presents
at my front door but when he had a mouse in the house and could hear it scratching, my cat hightailed it out of the room as fast as possible. Now that is the true meaning of "scardy cat". LOL!
My husband loves 'Impossible Pie.' (sm)
It's WICKED easy to make and it's right on the box of Bisquick.
How sweet, my DS loves to cook as well. nm

My teenage son loves giftcards for
game stores. He loves PlayStation, etc. and he always wants a new game. I get him a card and he can go pick out what he wants.
DITTO... WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN
Andy Garcia was AWESOME in this movie. I watch every time it is on!
again, it seems one either loves it or has great distaste for it.
x
Terrible, but my husband loves it...
And it looks pretty nasty, too!
I cut up a bunch of red potatoes (skin on) to fill the crock pot about 3/4 full, along with one large onion. Then cut up 1# of bacon and 1# of whatever sausage sounds good that day--I prefer spicy italian. Add a little water and cook on low all day. About an hour before dinner time, I take all of the grease off the top of it and get rid of it with a ladle--add 1 pint half and half--salt and pepper to taste. Sometimes I add corn, too. Like I said, it is like trying to cause a massive coronary, but great when it is really cold out!
and misery loves company.........nm

Misery Loves Company
Who has rubbed your nose in it that is now effected by the economic crisis?
For me...
Investment broker - not much call for stocks these days
Mortgage broker - self-explanatory
Realtor - again.....
All of these people were filthy rich and looked down on me, the lowly transcriptionist, who worked at home, who "really did not work", and look at them now.
I am the richest woman I know...which is not saying much.
