Question about husbands
Do any of your husbands ever take vacation days from their jobs with plans of doing things around your house, i.e. clean up the yard, get rid of junk, etc.? My husband always says he's going to do this when he takes a vacation day, but then he says, "It's a vacation day, and that is exactly what I'm going to do." I've always been one that does what I say I'm going to do, no excuses, and this is driving me crazy!!!!! Who wants to sit inside on their behinds on a beautiful day and not take advantage of it? Argggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! 
Husbands and money
I keep a spreadsheet of our income and expenses for a two-month time span. That way, I know in advance how much, if any, extra cash is left over on payday and can plan for any unusual expenses that might be coming up. Every couple of weeks, I sit hubby down in front of computer and together we look over where the money is going and how much cash we have until the next payday.
I update it every other day as we spend pocket money, unexpected expenses etc., and keep him informed if we are broker than expected. It's never richer than expected unfortunately!
I also take care of all the bills, etc., so it is easy for him to fall into a state of ignorant bliss. But I am an organized computer nerd at heart, so I like playing with the numbers.
But I think if your husband had concrete numbers of your financial situation, he would realize what a difference that $3 can make. Or even see that if he didn't drive home, he would save a gallon of gas a day, x5 days = $20 bucks or whatever.

Easy to say but in reality husbands do not
understand everytime a baby comes in, some can feel threatened by the new one, some can be jealous. You should never ignore your hubby just to give attention to your child. Make sure both have what each needs. One day the child will be grown and out and you might (just minght)be stuck with the same man - although now days not a sure thing!

I usually take the woman's side in this, since I too was an abused wife, but her getting a lenient sentence due to her husband supposedly making her dress up in sexy outfits?
Outcome is debatable. I do always think if all abused wives murdered their husbands and I imagine many deserve it, the streets would be littered with dead husbands.

After my divorce found wonderful man that I thank God for every day.
And then some husbands have their wife spoiled
and give them any and every thing their little heart desires and I am one of those lucky ones. By the way, I don’t even have to cook- he does all that. I am spoiled rotten and loving it.

MTs who have husbands that work midnights sm
i'm curious as to how your day goes with a hubby working midnights. mine has been on midnights for four years now. he has a really good job, but can't get on days yet. it's so tough with having two kids that are in elementary school. when i'm ready to get on and work, he wants me to set with him and spend time with him. we're just not on the same page and it's really getting to me. he's not a communicator either.
That is precious. It really is. Too many husbands not involved these days! nm

We just put every extra dollar
We could toward paying all the unsecured debt we had until we only owed for the house. Then we decided we didn't really need to be living so grandly, and we really weren't living where we wanted to be anyway, so we quit jobs, sold the house and bought a smaller one where we wanted to live outright with the profit. We had a few thousand left so hubby could take a bit of time and look for work. He's an industrial electrician, so he can really work anywhere. I decided to go in a different direction career-wise, and decided to become an MT.

One year was particularly bad and I went to the dollar store and bought 64 things and wrapped every one. It was quite an impressive hill under the tree.

I went into the Dollar General looking for school
decorations. I walked out without buying anything.I refuse to patronize a store that does such a dispicable thing. I'm a big halloween fan and was miffed they hadn't even put out the halloween stuff yet!
Do you have a Dollar Tree nearby?
they have a pet odor remover product in the pet supplies. It contains an enzyme that they use in nursing homes to get rid of all kinds of odors, not just urine. worth a try, especially for just a buck! Otherwise maybe Febreeze but you would probably have to soak it and let it dry out, not just a light spray. Good luck!

I've had 2 females over the years who developed stones/crystals in urine or UTIs. Both of them started spraying inappropriately. Never had a female spray inappropriately other than in these instances. They go into spasm and can't help themselves. If it is a urinary problem, eventually you may see slight pink-tinged spray if it gets that far untreated due to the irritation from constantly trying to pee. One more thought is if the kitty is not sick, maybe the other cat won't let her use the litter box for some reason. Maybe set up another box for her.

you have to ask for it. They keep it in the office. I use it for walking my dogs. I think Wal-Mart probably has it, too, maybe in the auto department.
If you have a Family Dollar store nearby, try to....
get a product called "Absolutely Awesome." This stuff gets the most stubborn stains out of literally everything and is so amazingly inexpensive that I finally started buying it by the gallon!

I will go with the gas card and some cash, good ideas. I think I got 10 bucks and told I had to start to pay more "board". Times are changing. I don't remember last time we gabbed about this subject but the gifts were way up there for high school. These sound more like what I can afford.
The best thing for dirty diapers - mini diaper bags at the dollar store that sm
smell like powder. You get 50 to a bag - they are little blue plastic bags. Tie the poopie up tight in the bag and VOILA! throw it in your trash and no smell!
You might want to check out the
New MT/Student board. There are lots of posts there that would probably interest you like which schools are good and those sorts of things. It is tough to get started unless you work on-site or are willing to take a cut in pay at first. Good luck to you and congrats on the new baby.

a couple of neighborhoods in NJ were named this year, including where I grew up, and what a joke!
One is a town they were recently calling the *cancer cluster* and investigating due to the chemical plants and extremely high cancer rates.
It is also where they built million dollar homes smack in the middle of normal moderate priced homes and then also not too far away from the bunch of low income housing/projects they added over the years.
Well when a couple of these million dollar couples went to the public schools for the first time, they cried! Actually cried. Guess they didn't do their *homework* (no pun intended) before buying. It's been said they can't afford private school because the big deals strapped themselves just to live there. Oh well.
As for me, I'd never buy a house there and I moved away!
My family and friends are convinced the magazine was paid off or maybe somebody knows somebody, like everything else. Wouldn't doubt it. : )

My friend's husband is in the hospital. He went into the ER at 7:00 Sunday night with a blood sugar of 600! At midnight, the ER clerk gave my friend a bill for $9000.
