sickening - that the Govt. gets that much out of taxes. I hate it. WE are standing behind the Fair Tax for this very reason. Somethings gottah happen. Remember the Boston Tea Party? This govt is just out of control in its spendind. 39% How is one supposed to live when we only bring home 70% of our actual pay? Doesn't that anger some of you?????????????????????????????????????????

My husband never takes his off.
I never wear mine because my fingers swell. He has bought me 3 wedding rings over the years, different types, different sizes. It all depends how swollen my hands are as to which one I wear or whether I wear any of them.
He just got over a bad bout with bronchitis so that is why he stayed home. Dad always takes sm
both of them, but to be quite frank, that is no one elses business and not the root cause of his behavior. Thank you.
Does your husband or significant other do this? Just now, at 7:30, my husband came home from sm
playing sports with a friend. After showering he comes downstairs naked and tries to start a conversation with me. My "office" is in the living room and he is standing in back of the couch so I can't see any private parts, just him without his shirt, but I can see enough to know he clearly is naked! I think he wants me to be amused or get turned on or something, but I'm not amused one bit. In fact, I keep working and basically ignore him.
Poor guy. I swear he thinks he's Vince Vaughn or something. I should at least smile at him but all I want to tell him is to put some clothes on! ugh!
Bonus
Hey, it's Christmas, stop fighting!!! Glad you got a bonus, the taxes are awful, and others should not complain that you are complaining, I don't blame you. As for me and my husband, what's a bonus??? Just enjoy it and remember the tax at election time. Glad for you. We worked 12-14 hour days, not even a Christmas card, only tip we ever got was "Don't eat yellow snow." Buy yourselves something nice and celebrate. Fight to change the tax law but you know it won't work, unfortuate.
Are you saying this 16-year-old lived at home with this guy?
If this is the case, the mother should be charged with child abuse. I have not heard this and if so I am shocked that a mother would allow this.
there is a reason and why would you consider sending an 8-year-old to a home?

Working at home/husband issues - do you think(sm)
Do you think they are jealous because we work at home or that they somehow picture us at home having the day off every day and getting pad for it - so they wonder why the house isn't perfect, etc.? Because I am constantly extremely busy between work and my kids and trying to get things done around the house but I think my husband thinks I should be able to get everything done since I am here. I don't think he was as bad when I worked in an office.
LOL! My husband came home from work and put that one on immediately! sm
I have to admit, I don't remember too many of these. But, to refresh your memory, let me tell you what's on this 2-disc set:

My husband did the same thing one year, except it
was blue with big white clouds on it. I was very angry, exchanged it, and still wasn't happy because I thought he just didn't care. My kids have always been great about gifts, even when not having a lot of money to spend. Anyway, I had my big pout session that year and didn't feel one bit better. I have since come to realize how wonderful it is to have a husband and family just to spend time with. I love him dearly whether he gets me anything or not. This year I got a very nice jewelry box for which I had absolutely no need, but he tried. He loves me and that's enough. I am so blessed. I could have been spending Christmas all alone, but instead, I got to spend the day with my family. DH had to work, so we had to celebrate later, but I still knew he was coming home that afternoon and I had that to look forward to.
We usually stay home but this year we are renting a room downtown (sm)
so we can dance and drink a little and not have to drive. We've never done that before so I'm excited!
My husband was a contractor over there for a year - his suggestions -
He told me people went nuts over homemade goodies of any kind (cookies travel very well in those tubular oatmeal containers from Quaker Oats). Also, you can send chocolate things this time of here because the temps are much lower. He also said people adored magazines and books, things to do to help pass the time during slow periods. My husband liked when I sent those Crystal Light singles drink mixes. He would add one packet per bottle of water for a nice change from plain old water. Itemize your list as you pack each box because the post office wants to know what you are sending. He also said people really enjoyed receiving cards and notes. Lots of them feel forgotten in this war many people do not support, and depression really sets in this time of year. He said anything you send will be very, very much appreciated.!
My experience when my husband died last year
My husband died suddenly last year. I was devastated and not thinking really clear, but my family was very supportive and the funeral director was very helpful. My husband wanted to be cremated. The biggest single expense is the casket and when cremating, it gets burned with you. If you're being cremated, they now "rent" you a casket for the viewing. It's totally sanitary. There is a removable liner that is put in and the usual silk/taffetta liner is put over that. It's no different other than buying a casket, other than you don't pay the high price and no one knows the difference. It was a beautiful, very expensive wood casket. We had a very nice viewing and service with all the amenities, prayer cards, notices, music, flowers, etc. The total cost was around 4000.00. I have his ashes, they are going to be spread this summer in a place he had always said he wanted them to be. I wasn't trying to do it as cheap as possible, but it was nice to not have to spend a small fortune.
Husband for sale - harder to work with him home than the grandkids. (sm)
He is cleaning our furnace and muttering, muttering, hollering where is this, I bet I have got up and went in there 4 times this morning to just have him mutter never mind I found it.
You gotta love them, but he of all people should know my money comes from my butt being in that chair.
Have a friend who used her husband's sticker. He really was disabled and stayed at home (sm)
so therefore she gladly took over use of his tags for her purposes. When he died she was aggravated when they wouldn't renew them a year or so after his death. Guess she thought they were survivor's benefits.
My now deceased husband brought his friend home, now my hubby
Was it love at first sight? Not for me but years later after the death of the previous one, my now husband (he never married, no kids) told me he had loved me from the very first day he saw me. I did not even know he saw me. We are talking 30 more years and the weight, well I will just leave at the 30+ years.
Charla Muller gives husband a year's worth of sex for his 40th birthday
A US woman has written a book about the unusual gift she gave her husband for his 40th birthday - 365 nights of sex.
High-flying PR exec Charla Muller, from North Carolina, hit upon the idea for her salesman husband Brad, now 42, and has written a book about the year.
"When I offered my husband sex every day for a year to celebrate his 40th birthday he literally fell over. After hearing the words, Brad slipped on a toy on the floor and landed with a thud. As I had spent so long thinking about an exciting present that I thought he would love, I was confident he would say yes. But to my astonishment, Brad refused my offer. He said: “It’s a great idea, I just don’t think you really mean it.”
Being intimate at night meant we worked better as a couple during the day. Our house ran better because we were more agreeable. Having sex regularly made me start looking around, wondering who else was getting good loving. Is it the good-looking women or the regular mums — like me?
Sometimes I don’t shave my legs and have stinky breath, but Brad still finds me sexy.
I worried our sex every day arrangement may become a routine, like brushing my teeth or having a shower. On the third month, Brad had to call it a day during one session. “We’ve been doing it for 88 days straight,” he said. “I don’t think I have it in me. After all, there’s always tomorrow.”
After six months of the gift, we both worried whether it was possible to keep things new and exciting. I didn’t have the energy to constantly spice things up. Before, just having sex was new and exciting. Now we had to turn it up a notch to get out of the land of run-of-the-mill sex, to the kingdom of earth-shattering, wake-the-neighbours sex.
But we were nearing the end of our agreement, and although all I wanted to do was crawl under the covers and go to sleep, I realised: Sometimes you gotta do it when you just don’t want to. It was just like spending Christmas with your in-laws or cheering on a football team you couldn’t care less about. “Let’s get on with it,” I muttered to Brad. “Just close your eyes.” Brad sighed, and did just that.
The day after Brad’s 41st birthday I was giddy with excitement, relieved and ebullient that I didn’t have to have sex every day. I bounced around the house, singing: “I did it, I did it,” under my breath. I was deeply satisfied that I had carried the present through."
March of dimes
Hello everybody! I've been searching and searching for a MT job but i can't seem to find one, so instead i've decided to dedicate one of my weekends to walking for the march of dimes. I'll be doing it 4-14-07 in my hometown. If anybody would like to help with the cause i have been given my own website for donations:
http://www.walkamerica.org/tanyabyer
Thanks for your time reading this, i'm just pretty excited and want to get as many people involved as possible!
Why didn't I think to march in our parade
carrying a sign saying keep our medical records in the US. Oh, I'm working!
Yikes. It seems so soon. And I do not like it when Easter is in March.
Too chilly for the Easter dresses and no spring flowers out yet. Not a springy Easter Bunny feeling Here in Northern New Jersey just had 4 more inches added Friday from our previous 8, which had melted away and now the white stuff back on the ground. Probably will snow on Easter, although going to be in the mid 50s today. One can only hope.
Universal had Dr. Suess in March 2005
they also had Nickelodeon. You will definitely want more than one day no matter which places you go to.
We were considering a rabbit in March but decided to go with guinea pigs instead (sm)
My daughter is 5 and really wanted a cat, but we just aren't "cat people." We have a big dog, and she loves him but wanted something cuddlier. We wanted something that she could help care for and play with. We get the "pigs" out of their cage every day (we have a an indoor fence/play yard that we put on a towel to catch the pee and poop) and let them run around. They have turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought they would. They really don't smell as long as you change the bedding in the cage every three to four days (might go longer if you only had one). From the things I've read and our experience, they are really gentle and tolerant (no one has gotten even an accidental bite since we got them in March, and we handle them ALL the time).
The negatives are that they are quite messy ( lots more vaccuming in the room where the cage is - again might not be as bad with only one - most of the bedding goes flying when they get to chasing each other around), and they can be noisy (especially at night when you're wanting to sleep).
They are terribly cute, and we love them but, like any animal, they are a lot of work. I don't regret it at all, but I can see where it wouldn't be for everyone.
My pumpkins are gone! I planted 4 pumpkin seeds in March sm
which grew up really nice and started to grow out like vines - got pretty white flowers in them which means the pumpkins would be coming out in a few weeks.
I haven't checked up on them all week because we've had plenty of rain so I haven't had to water them. I go today with my big bucket of water and there was only dirt left with holes. They dug them up and ate EVERYTHING - the stalks, flowers, everything! I am really upset.
I have 3 boys - 2 little ones, and we live in the country. Every year I spend about 80.00 on pumpkins decorating our porch, land, etc with pumpkins. I though I'd be a little more economical and plant seeds in the spring which cost a dollar so that I could have nice, ripe pumpkins, as many as I wanted - for the fall.
I'm thinking rabbits got them. We have indoor cat/dog so it wasn't my animals. I'm not sure what to do next spring. I'm not giving up. How can I keep animals from getting to them like that???
I want to cry.......I've been going out into the field and watching them grow..they were my babies..
Gays march for their rights to be involved with their long-time partners
health care should a drastic decision be made. It is usually a family member...even though we are the ones who take care of our partners when they are sick or dying. We fight for the right not to be thrown out of a shared house by the partner's parents. We want to honor our partner's wishes when they die as we are the ones who have spent years with them - not the family. These are just a few examples.
As far as your comment that we influence young people - that is absurd. All we want is to live our life and as pxmt said, be able to walk down the street without abusive comments, being assaulted, ridiculed, etc.
The school system is not segregating gay children - they are making it "gay friendly and teaching tolerance". Suicide is very high in gay children because of the parents who teach their children that it is evil and it is okay to bash a gay child. These schools are just trying to save the lives of young children.
As far as your comment that Christian's homes and churches are burned, sorry but I cannot recall one incident that I have read or saw on the news. Temples yes. As far as being assaulted for your beliefs, could it be because you stand in front of abortion clinics and gun down the doctors and nurses that come out or go into the clinic? Could it be that you bully the 15 and 16-year-olds who have been raped and want an abortion?
Sorry to say this, at least we (gays) are not violent and just want to be left alone.
It only takes once.. and it's too late
Children have been severely injured and decapitated by passenger side airbags even at low-speed accidents. Google airbag, child, decapitation. I wouldn't chance it even once.
Well, now that just takes care of everything
The g'mother said this lady has had trouble getting pregnant and thus the treatments? I mean, does the g'mother not realize that 6 is entirely too many and should have been on birth control rather than getting in vitro. This woman apparently smart in some ways as she has degree and said working towards masters but needs some real psychiatric check- I am obsessed with stromboli but I don’t have them 24/7. The g'mother recently filed for bankruptcy- well that takes away what the g'father said about being able to afford all, right? G'mother also stated when the mother got home from the hospital, "I will be gone." I would not be surprised to see some kind of intervention from the state here. I know not the reason but the state swooped in and got the kids in another state that were named after Hitler and some other cracked-up name, forgot the others, seemed bordering on KKK or something to that effect not sure though.
Well, that sure takes care of everything
Just a yes, gonna take that and run with it.
Yep, I do too. I really do it up for Christmas & it takes a lot of time to put

Which training method yielded results so quickly? (I'm nearing 16 years, I might need to refine my technique)
Does he get a diploma, or a certificate? Or a ribbon?
That takes some nerve in my opinion.
It is not like you have any say so in your son's graduation, and in my book that would be more important to me than my nephew's wedding. It if interferes with the wedding, so what. There is nothing you can do about it.
He takes his cellphone in the shower????
What the heck does he do for a living? If it does not require constant use of his cellphone, then no, you are not being paranoid! Do you always hear him on his phone? Does he make it a point for you NOT to hear him?
I don't know you, him, or the situation but something about this is bothering you to the point of putting out feelers here. I would not let him know about your **paranoia** yet, but I would not let him move in permanently either. You need to take some time to find out about this feeling you have. Could be nothing, but you need to find out on your own before discussing it with him.
one way to find out, don't contact him, see how long it takes
maybe he does not want to hurt your feelings by saying helikes to hear from you; however, he is not contacting you, so stop contacting him and you'll get your answer.
that's the viral load - takes 2 weeks I think....sm
That's the one i was talking about - the hep C HCV-RNA....that's the viral load and as I recall, I think that's a 2-week test, but I could be wrong...(I am the one from the prior threat who has it and was posting with you last week and have this test yearly) - anyway - try to relax and perhaps the nurses/assistants don't even know this test takes 2 weeks IF THEY SENT IT FROZEN...I remember they couldn't do the test because it was not frozen.....at one point. Now, when I go, I make sure to ask *does that go frozen or not?*

Good luck to you. It takes patience, but
you will have better credit. Some people think it's no big deal if their credit score or credit report is bad, but in this economy financial institutions are really cracking down on who money is lent to. I read that GMAC isn't financing anyone whose credit score is under 700 credit score and if they do, it will be at a horrible rate. It's only going to get worse too I'm sure. Long ago I was in your shoes, so I can relate. My DH and I have a credit score of over 800 now and believe me, it's worth it to have a good credit history, it just takes one day at a time.
My family takes pictures of the open
casket. When my dad was still living and someone was showing these pictures, he would go through and take them out for me because he knew I could not stand looking at them. When he died, my mom had pictures made and had a copy made for me. That was 12 yeras ago and to this day she still has those copies, I really don't want them. She even had us stand by the casket and had pictures made (her, my sister, and me).

...to conceive a child, unless you're the Virgin Mary 2000 years or so ago. Calling the young woman a sl*t, a very shaming label, just clouds the issue. And yes, adoption is a viable option if the girl and her parents are neither willing nor able to keep the baby, financially and emotionally. But it has to be their choice. I hate abortion, but that's not what we're talking about.....anyhow, shaming labels don't help the discussion. I'm too old to even remember having the natural and normal desires of youth, LOL, but these things happen. Even back in my day, some young couples, as we put it, "had to get married."

it takes 3 weeks for a baby bird to learn to
We have to watch the dogs and cats really close until all the babies leave the yard and it is a long three weeks. Our babies usually hide in the pumpkin patch during flight school with mama guarding from the fence.
Anyone move from a single family home to mobile home? sm
I own and live in a house in a midwest city in a bad neighborhood (wasn't that bad 11 years ago). I spent the day waiting for the plumber to come and jackhammer the foundation (slab house, no basement) to find a leaky pipe that is flooding my DD's bedroom. Last week, it was the electrician with quotes for costly repairs.
In the meantime, I've really been thinking about selling out and moving into a mobile home. Has anyone done this before? Is a mobile home in a decent park less of a hassle than a regular house? I'm so tired of cutting the grass and spending $$ to fix things and tired of old flooring and cabinets, etc., that are just too costly to replace. I'm single with no man to do these things for me and I can't afford a mortgage on a newer house in a good neighborhood. Some of the pictures I've seen of the mobile homes look really nice and modern on the inside.
Any advice and comments appreciated. Thanks!
Well I figure I can make my own hours & be home when the kids are home (sm)
I worked PT in an office for a while but spent most of my money on childcare in the summer. Full-time in an office was just a nightmare and I felt like I missed a whole year of my children's lives. I want to be in control of my schedule so that's why I'm looking into the cleaning thing. Never thought I would want to do that but live and learn! Some of the most intelligent people alive work as carpenters and similar things because they have learned what's really important in life. Whew....off my soapbox now :-) Good luck to you!
Time. That's all it takes. I took in a recliner full of smoke and a few years later sm
looks brand new and smells like my own home now. It was really bad with smoke. Same with books. It just takes time. It will eventually go away. Unfortunately, nothing I know works for that without ruining the books.
