Dogs are pack animals. They want to be with their pack, sm
Which in this case is you and the rest of your family. I would suggest putting her crate in an area of the house where you guys are, *especially* at night, so she doesn't feel isolated. Can you put her crate in your bedroom at night, right by your bed?
I also agree with letting her gradually have more and more freedom out of the crate as she matures and is trustworthy not to chew things and is completely housebroken.
My last and probably most important piece of advice is to make sure she's getting plenty of exercise, especially before she goes into the crate. I have 4 indoor dogs, and I've found that exercise is a cure for many, many things. (There's a saying in dogs: "A tired dog is a good dog." So true!) A lot of dogs just simply don't get enough exercise, physical and mental, to tire them out. All that excess energy and frustration has to come out somehow. Maybe that's what's happening with her? Take her for walks, through a ball, etc. I personally use a device called a Springer that attaches to a bicycle and lets me safely take each of my dogs for a nice long run (without wearing me out!) You can find it here: http://www.springerusa.com/ (I do *not* use the safety release that comes with it, and I use a better harness than the one that comes with it, but I have big, strong dogs.)
You can also get a dog backpack for the dog to wear with something in the backpack to add a litte weight and help tire her out more than just walking will.
Some dogs are also just very sensitive to changes in the household. Maybe she's picking up on the hustle and bustle of this time of year and is stressed by it. (If so, exercise with be a release for that.)
Please keep us posted and feel free to share more info. and I may have more ideas. ;o)
this is a throw back to my college days
Morning Thunder is loaded with caffeine! Good for all nighters!
I along with my husband lived back in the days when
we were regularly punished with whippings. I remember a yard stick (wooden) plus belts, hands and he probably the same. We have grown into very productive people and we believe in doing right, being the best we can be and no we were not tarnished for life. This is something most kids I grew up with faced and we did not love our parents less for it. I never knew of a kid in high school who fought, cursed the teachers, his parents or really was in any kind of serious trouble and graduated in a class over 200. Now the way kids are brought up, it is an entirely different time and I do not know if it is all for the good. We never thought we were abused, never and if I were growing up today probably would have some busybody sticking their nose in to try and undo what our parents did back then. What you see for your child is not always what others want for theirs. There are more troubled children today than ever before and DH and I both think due to parents babying their kids to the point of almost being scared of them and the kids running the show.
Any office supply place, like Office Depot or Staples. Try copyholder instead of typing stand.

I make around $50,000 but I work 7 days a week and long days, although I'm not a fast typer eithe
I think even if your fast, you'd still have to work more than 40 hours a week to make that but I could be wrong.
I remember those days too, but these days they don't want make any child felt left out. They wan
to make each of them feel special and that they have accomplished something. My 8-year-old brings a certificate of some kind during the day, accelerated reader award, trustworthy award, jr. achievement award, etc. I guess in a way, no one kid is pointed out as the "teacher's pet" or have the other kids being jealous of him/her for getting this or that award.
We pay nothing on Hubs insurance
so then this is next year for me although retirement age not actually until 67 for me. Drats- was wanting to stay on his PPO, no cost to us and really good covering all. I have until March of next year to contact them now.
I eat different from hubs because I'm the veg head & he
s
Wow if you & hubs are paying that much
in taxes and didn't qualify for stimulus check (because you make too much?), ya'll must be rakin' it in!! Don't think you deserve much sympathy either, right? I know you we're asking for it, but seems a little harsh to kick someone when they're down...
Babylon AD...can't get hubs to see it
he knows how much I love me some Vin!!!
I probably would tell hubs he had to leave
Nah, just kidding. The mama is trying to hide the kittens. The kittens will nurse for about 4 weeks and then they should be able to eat at least soft kitty food. Mama will start refusing to nurse when she wants the kitties to let her go, but about 4 weeks. I just had a baby kitten at my home today- the girl who does rescuing with me brought it by. She got at animal control and it was just a baby, about 4 or 5 weeks old.
OMG! Same here, my hubs and I just looked at each other and said "oh no"!
we too thought the cable went out until we saw the credits. Extremely disappointing :(
Accidnetally took hubs medication
this morning. I take a blood pressure pill and I just took a 40 mg tablet of atenolol he had- thinking it was my armour thyroid. Should I just watch my blood pressure to make it does not dip too low? I think I will be okay but anyone else done this?
Chinese for me and the kids as hubs will be

Hubs fixes country ham along with
home made biscuits and I can stop there- he makes things for other people who like the traditional eggs, bacon and the like plus his own creation for omelets.
lmao my hubs is the opposite
He will bring home ANYTHING with Vin or Pierce Brosnan in it, knowing that I like them. lol I think he has actually bought every one of their movies since 2000.
Babylon AD...I'll have to ask hubs about it. lol
Go PACK!
I have and always will be a diehard Packers fan! LOL@ the Vikings fan because my closest friend is also a fan of theirs and it has always been a source of teasing between us! She has come up with some very creative names for the Pack which I cannot repeat here. lol, and the Vikings became the ViQueens through the years. :) All in fun, don't bash me.
I have never seen a broadway play but hope to someday.
I've gotten them all up for years, including the hubs. Should have
s
Sounds familiar with hubs not wanting any more
cats around. I had an older girl and hubs brought home 2 young guys (he thought when the older one died the 2 younger would take her place, not true of course but he thought that). The older girl died and before long I spoke with him about another kitty. I have loads of room, work is ideal for pets around, he travels so they are loads of company for me but he said absolutely not. Ok, my housekeeper called me 1 day, said kitty up a tree, she would be over when she got it down and I asked her to bring with her as she could not keep. Instant love, not only with me but hubs. I told him the cat had shown up at my house meowing and running from the dog. Well, that was true- she had shown up at the door and had been running from the dog, just not at my home. Gina, my kitty, is now his best friend, follows him around the home, comes for petting and stays in whichever room he is in. It is kitty love for him now.
Pack leader
Some dogs are very strong personalities and need to have a strong-minded person as an owner that has no doubt as to who is leader of the pack (and it should not be the dogs). If the dogs are dictating who is allowed in and out and who the territory belongs to, they are in charge and as you pointed out, it isn't the breed so much as the owner.
GO PACK! GO BRETT!
I've been to Lambeau only once but really loved it! Greenbay is about 3 hours from where I used to live so we didn't treck up there much. Especially in the snow!
I would buy a pack, but not 2 packs
x
they can also pack their lunch
x
Also pack anything you buy in your carry-on - sm
one of my group made the mistake of packing her stuff in her luggage, every single thing was stolen that she bought there. I took mine in my carry-on bag, as did everyone else but her. Just be smart and aware.
I'll help you pack...

You got any extras you wanna pack up...
and send to Maine, you feel free!
This is the first year I haven't had a garden and I'm totally bumming now that everyone's harvest is in. My downfall are the little sweet cherry tomatoes that are all warm from basking in the sun all day and wicked sweet...I ate so many one year I swear I was pooping crushed tomatoes! Totally gross but it was what it was. Man, they really were just like candy!
Congratulations on your harvest!
Had a copper 7 in years ago before I even had children. Was great! Hubs got snipped once we had

Normal nerves, BUT you and your relationship w/hubs will change & evolve, hopefully

I always put them in the lunch boxes with a cold pack. NM
NM
Pack them a decent lunch. That is garbage.

So, June Cleaver... what do you pack for lunch?
Finger sandwiches? Please. It is one meal of the day and kids would eat far worse if given lunch money. Now why don't you run along and iron your aprons or something :)
I just bought a starter pack today
I'm going to give it a whirl. I figure I have about 40 pounds to lose to get back to where I was for most of the years between having my son at age 25 in 1987, and my daughter at age 38 in 2000. After gaining the pregnancy weight in 2000, I really barely lost any of it and now nearly 7 years later am about 10 pounds up from that. So, I'm going for about 40 pounds but 30 would probably make me happy. I figure since I work at home, if I end up with the "alli oops" at least I'm right by the bathroom.
Your post says exactly what mine did. Animals are pack

Guys tend to pack light, and
probably would be embarrassed by something you were calling a hope chest. Nothing wrong with having a bin with practical essentials for them to take with them, but if it goes beyond what they can see they'll need immediately when they venture out on their own, they might leave it behind. And if it is girly or can't take a beating or isn't flexible about going from DW to MW to oven, it's not going to get used IMO.
Hubs did window cleaning as a teen & always got swamped w/folks wanting them
