My female dog usually lifts her

leg to urinate. She learned it at the dog park, watching other dogs. I know it's a dominance thing, but it's embarrassing to have somebody ask if she's male or female, and we say female, and then she goes and lifts her leg and does the back foot scratchy thing like a male! Except her scratchy action is more like a ballet move where the foot is off the ground and she reaches back with her toes pointed and wiggles it in the air. Most dogs are trying to scent-mark, scratching the ground with their foot pads and kicking up mulch and dirt. Apparently it's not worth getting dirty for Sasha - a Siberian that we refer to as our poodle, LOL.

Has anyone had upper arm lifts?
I had mine done before and apparently it must have been his first, did not turn out well, thinking about redoing. Tell me how yours turned out, satisfied?
My former OB/GYN was female sm
but I didn't think she took me seriously as to how bad it was for me. I had gone to her since I was 21 years old and she delivered both of my children. I started having the PMS/heavy bleeding after my daughter was born 7 years ago. It only got worse and worse as time passed. Last year I started having the pain across my back and down my legs but the last two months that has gotten better. The PMS has gotten better since I have reduced my stress level (was full-time job on-site/juggling side jobs and now at home full-time/not juggling so many jobs). However I am feeling more now like the PMS is not so much anger but more emotional like wanting to cry when I think or look at something sad. I still get a little short tempered and another problem is decreased libido, which normally I have no trouble in that department at all. Loving husband, married a long time, yada, yada, yada... Happy with life, but it is just those 2 weeks before that I suffer the most with the PMS. Thanks for sharing about only taking the mega B6 two weeks before because I think I'll ask my new GYN. I have pretty regular menses down to almost the day. I am glad to have people on this board that will share their experiences. I have learned so much today. I can't thank you enough...
Perhaps you are not female and/or have no
female children.
I personally didn't use tampons until after my first child. Having a period is uncomfortable enough for a young girl or any woman for that matter.
My daughter is also of a very small build and even the smallest tampons would probably be very uncomfortable but that is beside the point.
The real point here is that she was publically humiliated at a time in her life when she is already extremely self-conscious. The whole boob issue has also recently "developed" and that's another wasp nest. (Sorry sis, once they show up, you are stuck with them.)
This gym teacher has a track record of public humiliation with kids. My older daughter had a sledding accident two years ago and cracked her tail bone and a vertebrae in her lower back. She had a doctor's excuse for absolutely NO participation in PE for nearly six weeks. The school was fine with it. The gym teacher was not.
This teacher is also a neighbor down the road a bit. She's a nasty old hag to say the least. She keeps her dog locked in the garage barking all day long. When it does manage to get out, it runs into the nearest house and wrecks havoc. It has managed to get into our house before and actually chewed the cord to my foot pedal.
I didn't say a word about it. The poor thing was desperate to see daylight, people, and other animals apparently.
So, needless to say, I will be sending her an email this morning and see how she responds. If I still think she is unreasonable and unapologetic, I will forward my email and her response to the district office.

Need female help for DD sm
My DD is away at college. She is on BCPs and I don't know the brand. She has irregular bleeding and all sorts of problems and no, I don't think she levels with the clinic where she is seen on campus.
She started her period yesterday before we took her back after a weekend home. Today, she tells me she doesn't feel like she is in her body, spacy and weird. She is flowing heavily. I can't pay her ER bill and I am not so sure we are quite there yet.
I told her to drink lots of water, not to take a hot shower because that will dilate her vessels, start the next pack of pills to see if that will stop it (which is safe to do) and most all, GET TO BED AND SLEEP.
Any other suggestions? She is only 20 and she didn't start until she was 15. She has been on and off of pills and they all seem to do this. I could never take them for the same reasons and I want her off them when she is home for the summer because this is just stupid and scary. She is 4 hours away and I can't get to her easily....oh help!
Thanks so much.
...and why do they specify female?

My female cat does something similar...
She acts like she is wiping her feet like that in the same spot in front of the TV. Every time she walks past that spot, she does that. I have no idea why.
Just female problems?
What is it about being near 40?? Was having heavy TOM, started BCPs to help, and have now had a continuous TOM for 23 days. I am completely exhausted by 7:00 every evening. Does this sound like just female problems or should I ask for an ultrasound to make sure there is nothing really bad going on?
We had a female Rottie who... sm
Would lift her leg to urinate. A lot of times, she would actually squat a little, AND lift her leg at the same time. It was very strange! I don't know how she did it w/o getting urine on herself, but she did. She was very ladylike about it.
In her case, it wasn't dominance of any kind. She was the sweetest, most gentle dog with people and all other dogs. She was the 'omega' of the pack, not a dominant bone in her body, so I think it was just learned behavior.
That's one problem with being female (sm)
Women too often hear that medical problems are related to either our periods or menopause. That doesn't mean we should have to suffer just because of our hormones we can't help. :(
That would have been rotten to start your headaches at age 12. You sound like you have a strong family history of it, too. Nothing helped you or your family?
My female maltese
is 10 now and developed this problem a couple of years ago. It was not just at night, but anytime she was asleep, napping in my lap or asleep on my pillow snuggled next to my head (not a good way to wake up btw). It seemed to come as a complete surprise to her, as she woke up during or immediately after urinating, not before. All of her labs were normal, the only explanation was that it was a hormonal imbalance that occasionally occurs in older female dogs that were spayed at a very early age. As nearly as I could determine from the records I got from the lady I got her from was that she was about 3-4 months old when she was spayed. Since dogs can also have unwanted side effects from hormone replacement she was placed on antihistamines which resolved the problem for the most part, but she still gets the late night trip right before bedtime. Since your dog just started this late in life it may not be from the same thing, but it couldn't hurt, assuming that your dog has been spayed, to consider it as a possible cause if no other explanation is found. Here is a link to Merck Veterinary Manual online edition page that describes the condition (you may have to cut and paste).

Maybe the female wants to make sure
that they aren't hiring some little hottie that might steal her man?
another female teacher found having sex
with her students, 14 and 15 yo boys! This makes me sick. I swear, if a teacher ever touched my son I don't know what I'd do.

I have two cats, one male and one female-
the female's name is Ophelia, a.k.a. Miss Thing, a.k.a. feefee, feebee or feegirl.
My baby boy's name is Curly, a.k.a. Curls, a.k.a. fattyboy, crybaby boy, or kittyboy. I once decided he should have a Native American name so his full name is Curly Purrsloud Longtail Kittyboy. :D Although now the poor baby has just been diagnosed with diabetes so I may need to make that Curly Purrsloud Longtail takes-insulin-well Kittyboy. :)
I am a 33 y.o. female with an abnormal mammogram. sm
After the test the tech told me to wait so she can run the films by doc to see if everything was okay or if he needed more images. This was my 1st one. She returned and said she needed more images.
I waited 20 minutes. Then she said you'll be here for a while, he wants to order an ultrasound. I was so scared by this point. All by myself. No explanations. My breasts are "lumpy" which is why my GYN sent me there in the 1st place.
I rec'd my postcard in the mail that he wants to see me AGAIN for more images. Why? Anyone with this before? He didn't recommend me to a surgeon or anything. Just more images. I haven't heard a word from my GYN either and I'm sure she's gotten the results as it's been a while now. So, I'm going back next week for more images and I'm scared to death.
I have 3 young boys and a hopeless husband (I mean that in a good way) who can't really function without me. Anyways, please let me know what you "think." I just don't know. I do feel sharp pains in my left breast at times.
had a female -- Vagina!! no kidding.

Female hair loss
I'm wondering if any of you all have experienced, or know someone who has, hair loss. I'm 32 and for the last few years my hair has been thinning. Of course, for the last few years I was on Zoloft, and now that I have stopped it we are hoping I soon will once again have a full head of hair, but just in case...
How do you handle it? Wigs, scarves? My hair has always been my one vanity, so this is somewhat disturbing. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
HC
No, nothing personal. They can ask for female or male.

Female anatomy and the brain
I do a lot of neuro dictation and I've noticed that seizures and migraines tend to increase in a lot of females with their menses. Anyone know the link between females having an increase in both of these problems with their menses? Would a hysterectomy be helpful? I'm truly curious about this.
My female cat plays fetch with her toy mouse
runs to get it, picks up in her mouth, and returns/drops it at your feet. So cute! She also sometimes cries very loudly over and over when I have the oven on as if she is in distress. I have no idea why! Any ideas? LOL. My male cat sits in the window and talks to the birds, a very odd chirping sound he only does with the birds. They're just too cute sometimes!
My female chihuahua mounts our male
cat who is a lot bigger than she is and when I say "what have I told you about doing that in public" she jumps down and looks at me with a real innocent "what?" look.
really? U sleep all night? Curious R U female? nm
I guess I agree with you, lots of female
I guess have just lost respect for their own selves and how they appear to others.
It really doesn't matter if it was a male or female
Whey the He!! are we discussing whether or not a female would ever do this. What happened was horrible! Plain and simple. Whey even bring the sex of the person into this? If that is what you are concerned about then you are totally missing the point of the story!
Africa's 1st female president was elected in 2006.
(January of 2006) "Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has been sworn in as Liberia's president, making her Africa's first elected female leader.
Loud cheers greeted her inauguration, with US First Lady Laura Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice among those at the ceremony.
Mrs Johnson-Sirleaf says her top challenge is to maintain peace, law and order after 14 years of civil war."

Where abouts are you located? Are you in Maine yourself?
The other board got me chuckling about male/female names. Can you name the sm
strangest male/female names that you've come across according to gender. For example, I once typed on a Frank and it was a woman born a female from birth!
What are some parents thinking???? I've also heard of Shirely for a man.

I know our girls messed up, but I sure don't think those girls were all 16... just no way.
Female bounty hunter, in love with 2 guys (see inside)
one is a cop, the other is a mysterious bounty hunter who dresses in black and is very sexy (I think he's Cuban or something, I forget). Her family is hysterically funny, better than any sitcom ever on TV. Fast, funny read, great stress reliever.
I have read them all including #13, I get them from the library.
here's the list...it would be great if this country were ready for a female or black prez...
but it just ain't gonna happen. Daughter of a politician (so I know how it rolls) Cat
