My favorite time of night is when kids and hubby are asleep and the house is quiet...

Usmoms need some quiet time too...don't feel bad for feeling that way...I am sure we have all imagined what it would be like not having kids or a husband...but then that thought goes away and someone yells "Mommy" or "Honey"...LOL...

Absolutely, but I shake myself out of it quickly to make it a happy time for my kids and hubby. nm

house too quiet for me
usually have internet radio on.
Fell asleep last night on CSI NY - (sm)
The one where 19year old girl in the hospital after a wreck was murdered.  Fell asleep before I could find out who suffocated her.  Anyone?
I have been but fell asleep last night.
Who got "desashed". I don't know why I enjoy it...but I do think it is real. I watch more reality TV than anything. I know, I need to get a life!
Why am I falling asleep all the time?

I get 7-8 hours a night but during the day, at least for a month now, I've been falling asleep while working! They are really short "naps" maybe a few seconds or more, but this is driving me up a wall, not to mention my paychecks are suffering since I have to back track and relisten to everything I supposedly typed.

I've had this problem for years but it usually only lasts a week or two, and then I'm back to normal. This year, I can count on my fingers the days I didn't have this happen. Some days, I will take a quick cat-nap and before I know it, 2 hours has fallen by the wayside.

BTW, I just started to take vitamins a couple months ago. Could I be" _$$ backwards" and the vitamins cause this problem?

Thanks for your answers.

My favorite oddball of the night . . .
That girl who sang the Wizard of Oz lion song - I just about died laughing. I hope they bring her back. I don't know how the judges could keep a straight face.
Yes! Their Silent Night is my favorite on that album...sm
goosebumps for me each time I hear it, as well!!!

I just had this conversation with my hubby last night!
And he will only be turning 40 next month! He was complaining no one wants to be around him anymore, so, against better judgment I jumped in. He has become one of the most judgmental people I know anymore, no one can do anything right, and we are ALWAYS wrong. I don't care if you tell him the sky is blue, he'll tell you how stupid you are! And men say woman are hormonal....HA.
My poor hubby, I'M the snorer in our house.
He says I'm not loud, but if I'm flat on my back, I always snore. I never did it before I gained the weight I gained over the last couple of years, so I'm hoping if I can shed some pounds, the snoring will stop.
Oh, forgot to mention saw hubby on Comedy Central 1 night with
of all persons, Andy Kaufman. People might remember him from Taxi and 1 time he decided he would go into wresting and surprised to see him and my husband in a match on the Comedy channel! Andy also decided to wrestle with women for awhile before his demise in his early life.
Pizza is every kids favorite!
I have used the pie irons before but never thought of anything other than the desserts or grilled cheese. Pizza sounds like an easy and healthy lunch for the kids that they will actually eat and can help make. Thanks so much!
DID YOU SEE HOUSE LAST NIGHT sm
I did not see that one coming. I did not know he was planning on leaving the show.  If you Google Kai Penn , he a person who is well rounded.  He is an actor,  professor, is on one of Obama's comittees, is getting some degree in college etc.
Similar situation, my hubby drives 1 hr 45 mins to work from house and sm
he suggested 2 nights a week staying at a hotel that his company would pay for if the company apartment was full. I say company apartment "lightly" as it is a room above the office and just has bed, AC window unit. At first I was hesitant but then I drove it one way in the morning and again in 5 o'clock traffic and said you must be nuts! He gets up at 4:30 am to be at work by 6:30.
Hey I went to my friend's house last night and
her daughter's guinea pig had babies! There were four little fluff balls of fur squealing around in the cage with their momma last night when I went to their house to see them! They were so cute! They were very cuddly and when you pick one up and then take them to the other room they start talking (squealing) to each other. It was so cute!!!! I love baby guinea pigs!
Did anyone watch House last night?
'I always want to kiss you'. I thought that was great! :)
Also one of my least favorite of all time - nm

All time favorite movie?
My absolute favorite, which I can watch over and over, is Grease.  Dirty Dancing (the original) plays a close second though.
Sopranos is my all time favorite. Sex and the City...
next...can't wait until the movie comes out!
I bought that for my hubby on the Wii. He and the kids love it!
I bet you will like it too!
Your one all-time-favorite Christmas dish and present?

Red velvet cake

Round-trip plane ticket home to my family for Christmas

One of my all-time favorite sayings from my pastor: Givers always sm
have enough. Takers never have enough.

Both me and my husband are big givers- to the church, our family, our friends, strangers. I love to entertain and open up our home to others and this summer, every single Wed. we invite at least 4 families over to come swimming in our pool and just do whatever they want to do to "get away" for a while. We live pretty far out from town.

We love to give and give our time and love, too. It keeps us young, happy, and fulfilled.

The truly happy in life are happy because they give of their time and their life to helping others. When you do that, you really don't have time to harp on the negatives in your life or wonder "why doesn't anyone do that for me?"

Want to be happy? Get over yourself. Go across the street and help your depressed neighbor.
While traveling or eating out my hubby, kids, and I love
to decide what we would do if we won the lottery. From the sesnsible to the outrageous. We have been doing this for several years and it is wild how thier tastes have changed with age. It is really a lot of fun.
To all you married moms with kids and hubby at home,

do you ever dream about living by yourself?  Not just with no kids, but with no hubby either?  I love my family, but when I feel overwhelmed, when life gets too stressful, I can't help but think how peaceful that kind of life would be, with just myself to take care of.  Of course I know in my heart that if I was by myself I would be bored and lonely, but right now it sounds really good!  It has been one of those days...

Next time my hubby complains
about my screaming over a spider or other bug, I'll tell him it could be worse, LOL. Thank you!

Oh, he hates it when I scream.
My hubby gets that, too. He was younger than yours the first time.
He passed out one night at 2:00 a.m. after getting up to go to the bathroom. Scared the cr@p out of me when I heard a big crash as his head hit the countertop and then the floor. I couldn't get the bathroom door open because he had crumpled against it. I finally got the door open but he was disoriented and even his lips had gone pale. I called the ambulance and we went to the ER in the middle of the night. His blood pressure and head CT were fine. They even tested him for drugs and alcohol because they didn't believe us that we don't do those things. All of his tests came back fine, so the doc diagnosed micturition syncope. The doctor told him to sit down when he urinates at night, and also to get more rest and stay hydrated. Yeah, those were some expensive medical bills for just fainting while he went potty.

Funny, one of my kids brought that up the other day. They vaguely remember being scared at having the fire truck and ambulance at the house, and then Dad being taken to the hospital. They just didn't know why.
I coach softball and my favorite gift was a sweatshift with photo of the team and all the kids signe
They signed it in some kind of indelible ink which is great because I actually wear it all the time. I also got a plaque that looks just like the shirt, which is nice to have because I'm sure I'll wear out the sweatshirt. I love them and feel proud when I wear the shirt. We were champs of the league and the district and for a couple months after the season we were all kind of local celebrities! I played at a high level myself traveling all over Italy and Japan, but coaching this group was the best experience of my athletic career.
Me too! One time hubby and I pulled in front SM

of a car doing that and put our turn signal on. Then another car pulled in front of us and did the same thing. It was a TRAIN!!! For miles it went on like that down the highway, and the guy behind us never got a clue.

Are you the Anon who was worried abt possibly violence or hubby taking your kids? m
Best of luck to you for taking the steps to change your life. I wish you well.
I used to work at night when kids
were little so he could watch them while I worked and also do some stuff around the house. Fair is fair. He learned very quickly how hard it is to get things done while watching a couple of children and holding down a job.
I would chase my kids around the house
if they had a pimple- 1 time went with a guy- he sounds like your pig in the fact he had hummongous, big juicy bumps and I loved to get them. Gosh, thought I was the only 1 but jealous of your BIG ones.
I could see kids running through the house with sm

pieces of chicken I guess - and little greasy hands touching everything.  At least with spaghetti they might sit at a table - my opinion only -

Rainy, cool, dark. Home working with plenty of work. Hubby and kids are sm
picking up toys, taking them to Goodwill. LOVE days like this.
When's the best time to buy a house?
I'm new in CA and we're just renting a room for a year now.  We found a house that's brand new, price range is $400-500k with all the upgrades in there.  Furniture, appliances are inclusive.  My wife's earning around 4k monthly and I'm earning around 2k monthly.  I'm working in a hospital as a Transcriptionist and I'm not yet regular there.  We really love the house and it's perfect for us since my wife and I are having a baby soon.  My question is, is it time to buy the house?  Need advice on this.  Thanks in advance!
best time to buy a house
Or, if you could, move to South Texas.  $200K will purchase a lot of house.....RNs & physical therapists can work anywhere........unless you need to be near family.  Cost of living in Texas is much less than East/West Coasts or Pacific NW......Course, you would need flood insurance but that is no big deal & its cheap at only $240.00 to 260.00 per year.  Lots of the southern states have cheaper cost of living & you would be amazed at the housing market here......Just for comparison go to big builder websites (Perry Homes, Trendmaker, others) & check out the square footage & costs.  Outlying Houston has lots of land, good schools, good work opportunities........Would need a vehicle though.  Good luck with the new baby.
Then there's the time on House - sm
when he said she had an intercranial bleed. Funny, she didn't look like she had two heads!
No, it was his first time at our house.
No, it was his first time at our house.
what about the kids who paint house numbers on curbs? nm
xx
If you are going to be in the house such a short time sm
You will build up almost NO equity with a 40-year mortgage, and may have to sell it at a loss. Something to consider....
cereal is an all time fav here in my house..
but dh grilled pork chops and hot dogs, so I didn't have to cook.. Thank God~
Anyone here ever have spells where you just wake up at night all the time. I have had this for
about a week and I dont know why.  I am not worried or anything but I guess something is causing this.  Maybe this job gets on my nerves I dont know.  Hope it soon straightens out.
Watched it last night. First time I have followed this competition. (sm)
I really enjoyed it. They doing this annually?

Time to move out of your grandma's house nm

My sister left a message last night and told me for the second time SM

she was called a little old lady!  My sister is early 60s and very attractive, always colors her hair to cover any gray, dresses really nice, etc. She smiled yesterday at some adorable twin boys while out on a walk. The mother was close by walking also. All of a sudden the one kid yells . .

Hey, did you see that little old lady??  Then they both laughed. The mom called them over and was correcting them.

One time a few years ago my sister smiled at another little kid and the MOTHER of the little kid said  . .  awww. . Did that little old lady smile at you?  see below.

Moral of the story . . Stop smilin'. It's dangerous to your ego!

Animal House, without a doubt, funniest movie of all time.
LOL
Last night Bravo had "The 100 Scariest Movies Of All Time" and number one was ...sm

Jaws!?!?!  I didn't find that scary at all!  The Exorcist and Audition are the scariest for me.

my kids know the reason for the season. believe me the first time one of them said "who do you lo

more? santa or jesus..."...well thats all it took.  they do get carried away with it., but they know the story of jesus. we are christians. its just so controversal, but yes she should have kept her mouth shut.  she goes to a church where they are told not to practice the santa tradition. i know her church. that is fine with me. to each their own. btu there is a time and a place, teh classroom isnt it.

we did tell teh principal, he giggled and said "so what do we do now?'...adn he neve even spoke to her about it.  believe me we gave him suggestions of what he can do...but nothing is happening.  im just still batteling as to whether this is worth the trouble...or not.  i still have a kindergartener that might get her as a teacher.
