A King mattress measures 78 inches wide, 80 inches..
long; Cal King is 72 inches wide and 84 inches long. Maybe you just need to rotate the sheet.
Try putting your headset up in your desk drawer or up on your desk. SM
Make sure there are no cords hanging off your desk. I only had to lose one headset before I learned that that hanging cords just entice cats. The best thing to do is unplug your headset and put them away at the end of the day!
Did did doc run free T3/T4 labs? (vs totals)

depends on if you are 4 feet 11 inches or 5 feet 9 inches...
don't you think?
Thanks! She's a mix (Yorkie/ShihTzu), but
my sister, who brought her to us from Floria, says she is an Exquisite! I'll have to post some pics of the "babies" too. They are almost 2 now, born the day after Thanksgiving 2006. Just didn't have pics of them "all growed up" on my computer.
Your kids are adorable!
how about a Yorkie rescue organization
Most breeds have rescue operations for their specific breed. I wish I would have known about breed rescues when I got my dogs. I would have definitely gotten them from the rescue instead.
I had a sweet little yorkie I gave up ..
I had a sweet little yorkie I gave up with my first hubby. She never did like him, smart dog!! I regret giving her up! I tell current hubby when he complains about my furbabies that he knows where the door is. Not giving up any critters for him!!!
I thought her face looked like she had Yorkie ...sm
in her. She is so pretty. I would love to see the pups all grown up now. What was the father of the pups? Yorkie, Shih Tzu, etc? I bet they are cuties too.
No, but I love that my neighbor's mini yorkie is named ZEUS! haha nm

Term papers
Does anyone know the going rate for typing term papers nowadays?
Setting up papers we need right now
In our state we have to be incorporated, have agricultural license, etc. so right now waiting for all that to come back but keep none at my home, have fosters willing to keep. I am financing the costs, including the above, plus food and medicine for injections and the like. I only want 1 thing and that is to go get the doggies and/or cats- the others may want to charge a fee "once" they have their license- until then they can rescue but cannot charge a fee. We have rehomed several older doggies as well as puppies and I am a happy girl. Just holding those little babies this morning makes everything all worth while. I will just have to work more hrs, I guess!
Yes. I was given papers after taking a kitten in for

You were not reading her state papers then if you think that
I read lots of the newspapers in Alaska during this time and they were ticked off to say the least because they felt they were being ignored amongst other things. Oh, about the nervousness, this was a perpetual thing with her- she must be scared stiff because all her interviews same mumbo-jumbo- no sense. Remember the "I can see Russia from my house."
That is 5 feet 4 inches. nm

I am 5 feet 2-1/2 inches. nm

Maybe a couple inches my way...sm
not much, and it has pretty much melted away now. Very windy last night, though. Had the trusty generator ready just in case. Sorry you have to deal with so much of the white stuff. You know how hard it is to predict the weather out here, so keeping my fingers crossed they are wrong about your area getting more. Have a hot toddie (sp?) and keep warm!
Read your papers or watch Tnews on TV
Abuse happens everywhere. Case in point, lady in North Georgia just stabbed her 2 children to death yesterday. They were not in daycare. Your last statement sounds like people who say "Crime, I never thought it could happen in my community" when actually abuse/neglect happens in homes, daycares, everywhere. Oh, had you read earlier posts, I have children, grandchildren, too, raised them and they are self-sufficient, not like a bunch of the kids you see nowdays, thank goodness. Have done my job as far as children are concerned but never ever went into a job just so I could stay home to work, sounds like a real cop-out to me. I would surmise if others saw these posts, they would definitely not think of women writing them as professionals- working on a keyboard with 1 hand and changing diaper with the other, really professional! Sorry, have never met a supermom, just mothers who do what they should in the normal span of life.
It may be that your daughter is just nervous when she puts papers
in the folder because it sounds like she is being watched like a hawk. No child needs that, especially at this very young age. I don't blame you for being upset. This can be damaging to a child. I would take very little more, if any of that behavior from the teacher. You have a right to go above her with this complaint. Good luck!
No he is full blooded pit bull with papers...sm
But everyone thinks he has boxer in him. He has always looked like a boxer because of his color. Everybody thinks he is a boxer or boxer mix.

12 inches is not deep pocket--sm
12 inches is barely even standard these days. Mine is 21 inches deep. I need 22 inch deep sheets to at least stay on. You shop around and see where you can find that size for under 200 dollars. If you do, let me know!
Oh really? Even if they say accummulation of 1-3 inches, that won't stick? sm
LOL! I have no idea! It has to stick. It just has to. I mean, then that won't really matter if it doesn't stick!! I'll post pics when it's all over! haha
We are up to 5 inches of snow since this AM with more coming...sm
along with some ice by time my husband needs to drive home. I have no idea why we stay in Ohio! I cant wait for summer to come!!!!
Nope. Still 2 inches of snow on it!

5 feet 11 inches tall that is, why you cannot put - sm
quotation marks for inches on this is annoying.
Read the papers, duh! People are losing their homes
for getting into this stuff.
Goes to show, you aren't that smart. Money in bank getting interest only. Come on lady, what planet do you live on? You are full of it. You are depending on the two most unstable things in the world right now. Talk about planning.
Get up from your desk....sm
for a minute, stretch, breathe deeply, and get a Red Bull (energy drink) from the fridge. Works like a charm for me. I'm exactly in your shoes and I've tried lots of things, but Red Bull and movement work the best for me. Good luck!

Not on his desk
IMHO he should not be allowed to put it on his desk. This is clearly violating the law that is stated in the article that says there is to be no promotion of religion. If he wants to attack the Constitution fine but in the meantime he is not setting a good example for his students by breaking the law and school policy.

floor option
I have terra cotta-ish tile in my kitchen and love it. You can buy the grout already matching and it's so easy to clean. Also, if you live where there's any red Georgia mud/clay, it doesn't show up if someone (kids) tracked in the house. Area rugs look pretty on it. Keep in mind that whatever you put down, if there are area rugs, the cat will likely puke on them rather than the flooring! LOL
I'd rather sleep on the floor

No way my dogs could be on my lap or my desk sm
for that matter! One is a golden and the other is a cocker-that's 150 pounds of dog. The do lay on my foot though to keep it warm!
No, why did she put a pot down on the floor/carpet? - nm

Your desk is GREAT! (sm)
I especially like all the photos stuck around the outside of the monitor. Good way to keep yourself looking in the right direction! (I'm lucky enough to have a million-dollar view out my window... that's the good news. But then I keep looking out my window at it. Hard to stay focused!) ;D
Are those your rings on the desk?
Too funny! I take mine off too (except wedding band) while working. My fingers swell and they hurt if I don't.
Just put everything up about 3 feet from floor.
Move all plants up to counters and maybe a gate for the kitchen so you don't have to worry about babe getting into cupboards. Also for any stairs. They have those socket covers that are very cheap and I would put them in outlets and always make sure the toilet seat is down. Other than that, enjoy.
Lower NY state north of NYC, getting hit with sleet and ice! Few inches of it now. :( nm

I have a *to do list* sitting on my desk

Need the input on floor coverings
I had installed tile which I really love throughout my kitchen and the hallway which runs off the kitchen. I now have decided to tile my living room and great room plus 1 hallway. The living room and great room run off this previous tile I had installed. I love the color and would like to have the same there but hubby thinks we should have another color. I am totally undecided. Has anyone tiled and put in 2 different colors next to each other, how do you like and give me some thoughts from others. Thanks
That little touch of color at my desk
would be my hubby. He sure brightens my day.
Lumber Liquidators for the floor
Mazel Tov - Hebrew for Good luck, Congrats, et al.....not a lot of people know Hebrew but I, for one, understood the words of the other poster....
Did my floor from Lumber Liquidators as they seemed to have the BEST prices. Once you do the floor, the rest should come easy - you would match the floor to your furniture for blending purposes (in your head) and I found the rest fairly easy once I painted the rooms.....Have fun if nothing else!!
I still haven't picked my jaw up off my desk. (sm)
I just got off a quick break and decided to watch this video that I was told would floor me. It certainly did. I knew our political system was corrupt, but I honesly had no idea "they" were this blatant about it.
This is well worth the several minutes or so it takes to watch. I didn't post this under either political board, because it transcends both the conservative and liberal spectrums. Maybe this should go under the prayer request board now that I think of it.
If it's happening there, it's happening everywhere. These "voices of the people" totally need a good smackin.

Should he be allowed to keep the Bible on his desk?
Apparently, it's just sitting there. He's not teaching from it.
A Mount Vernon science teacher said yesterday that he will refuse to remove a Bible from his classroom desk, despite his school district's order.
"Thousands of citizens in this community have built their lives on deeply held religious convictions, and it is for them that I stand today," John Freshwater, 51, who teaches at Mount Vernon Middle School, said in a news release.
The religious activist Dave Daubenmire, Freshwater's friend, acted as his spokesman yesterday. "This is not a religion issue; this is a free-speech issue," Daubenmire said. "He didn't take the Bible to read to anybody."
Mount Vernon Superintendent Steve Short said Freshwater's characterization of the events leading to the district order that he remove religious items from his classroom was "not entirely accurate," but Short wouldn't elaborate.
The district later released a one-paragraph statement saying that district officials don't oppose religion but are required "under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution to protect against the establishment of religion in the schools. As a public school system the district cannot teach, promote or favor any religion or religious beliefs."
Freshwater and Daubenmire believe that separation of church and state "is a fraud" and that the framers of the Constitution never intended it to be practiced the way it is today, Daubenmire said.
The district asked Freshwater last week to remove the Ten Commandments from the door to his classroom and remove the Bible from the view of students. About 3,900 students attend Mount Vernon schools. Mount Vernon is about 52 miles northeast of Columbus.
Freshwater took down the Ten Commandments but decided that being prevented from taking a Bible into the classroom was going too far.
In the past, Freshwater has taught his students about the "holes in evolution" and intelligent design, the theory that a supernatural power created complex forms of life, Daubenmire said.
"Would our government ask a follower of Islam to remove her burqa in order to teach school?" Freshwater said in his written statement. "Would we ask a science teacher to remove The Origin of Species from his desk merely because the origin of man has never been proven?
"I cannot with a clear conscience follow a directive that makes religion and the religious viewpoint any less credible by those who deem themselves more enlightened."
Freshwater wouldn't answer questions directly because of the likelihood he will file a lawsuit charging "viewpoint discrimination," Daubenmire said.
Daubenmire is the former London High School football coach whose district was sued in 1999 by the American Civil Liberties Union because he led his players in prayer at games, practices and meetings. The district settled out of court, and its insurance company paid the ACLU $18,000 for court costs.
Do you keep a candy dish on your desk?
What's inside it?
I have one on my desk, but it usually only has sugar-free gum in it. Boring I know, but I hate it when my kids get cavities and since they raid my dish all the time, I have to take precautions. I also don't want to tempt myself all day long with sugar. Sometimes I get sugar-free Werther's candy or sugar-free lemonade candy but those bags are so tiny they don't last long.
Yes. When I worked on the floor as an aide
It seemed a lot of the RNs thought they were the most elite part of the hospital/society and treated everyone that way. What I despised most though is that they would do their patient assessments, charting, then sit around the nurses station and gossip while we did the majority of the work and they would try to shove as much as their job on us as they could, even things we were not qualified to do. They also were the most unprofessional people. They were the ones that tended to make fun of a patients ailments, body habitus, lack of education etc., than any other personnel in that hospital.
There were some good RNs though that knew their place but it seemed that they were few and far between. The real good RNs did not stay long at that little rinky-dink county hospital, they were just there to get their experience and go to bigger and better places. Glad that is ancient history for me now as far as dealing.
