Nothing good ever happens after midnight. We had a grandfather clock in the foyer. If we weren't in by that last gong at 12, we had holy heck to pay.
Four hours past curfew doesn't sound very responsible to me. She is blatantly disobeying. She's not even making an attempt to be home by curfew and basically thumbing her nose at you. It does make you wonder what else she's doing during those hours to make her so late. Partying, boyfriend? Is she where she says she's going to be?
It's very hard, my son did the same thing but you gotta become the bad guy. It's just not safe for an 18-year-old to be out in the middle of the night.
