Muslim not American Indian.

He is a wacko, totally. I think he's schizo. She says, "He's nice sometimes," then other times he will verbally abuse her so bad she curls up in the dog's bed and cries uncontrollably. He threw a $400 cell phone into the wall and broke it because she spoke to another man (whom she has known for a lot longer than him). He once reported the phone installer guy for sexual harrassment to Qwest because he offered to install an extra jack free of charge in their house. I told her LOVE is not "sometimes" nice.

Yes, but Indian's from India are not Muslim. They are of the Hindu religion. sm
they also believe in reincarnation and not the Koran.
They do treat women as a much lower class, though.
American or Asian Indian? Culture difference might explain his odd behavior.

I think some are Indian MTs.

That's the Muslim Religion
Haven't you seen or heard how they treat their women, especially with all the stuff happening in the Middle East now. They are the ruler of the family and the women must cow-tow [sic] to them.
IOW, women are second class citizens in their world just like it used to be in the U.S. before Susan B. Anthony and others. If you daughter wants to be independent, there is no way it will happen being married to him. I wouldn't even bother telling the parents since they are getting a divorce, BUT MAKE SURE you get a restraining order on him or else it may get very dangerous.
I don't mean to scare you, but please be careful.
Yes, the Indian guy is good.
I wonder too about Danny ??, the church music leader who lost his wife. He's pretty good. But I think they're looking for sombody a little different this year. I agree with the swishy whiney guy, he makes me crazy. He wears a girls headband all the time. Will be interesting to watch this year.
Ummm... Americans can also be Muslim, or are you
x
You would not be welcome at a "mosque"....the true Muslim leaders
No one said anything about not mentioning God. Muslims supposedly believe in God. God is not a religion...All terrorists are not Muslims, but the underground crap going on in this country, working at recruiting those misled individuals into their little scheme of hatred for this country is sickening. How many so-called Muslim leaders did you see stand up to condemn the thousands of Americans killed? None!! And even those that might have thought it a horrible thing, won't speak up because they are SCARED of retaliation... by what?....they're own "faith"? Get real. We need to keep in mind the US is a soverign nation but won't stay that way long, when we become so PC we forget who we are. We welcome ALL, LEGALLY, but too many of all nations are here illegally and there is cause for concern. When you can walk in the front door of a country and do your dirty little business unnoticed, it's time for a wake up call folks!
Yes he will. The Muslim community will close ranks on this man.
They will call it an "Honor-Killing." What it is, is out and out murder. But Hussan will spend but minimal time incarcerated. The Muslim's have our country cowed. CAIR, AIPAC, and all the other Muslim alphabet soup groups will close ranks to defend him against an "evil and corrupt" legal system. He will have a defense fund the likes of which most people will never see.
They will call people who want to try him for this crime islamophobes or worse. They will threaten retribution against the judge, law enforcement people, whoever is involved in this case. Self-preservation is a great motivator.
Hopefully the legal system will do what it is supposed to do...put guilty people in jail. But we will have to see how the wind blows.
IMHO, the wind blows towards Mecca and the Muslims.
Every Indian in America must be slamming votes for this kid. It's the only thing that
stinks. Sundance sang circles around that kid. It had to have been a planned thing. Something just wreaks about the whole thing.
his mother is 100% white - father is indian and black - nm

Not that, but just y'day hung up on my VERY Indian phone comp. rep., in India!, as I

No one is arguing that Mrs. Obama said this. Someone posted that old, tired Muslim e-mail.
That is what the "check your facts comment was about." Anyone who watches the news has seen the sound bites from Mrs. Obama's appearance this morning.
This man who started TV station after 9/11 to counteract negative Muslim reactions,
The below taken from CNN statement:

Muzzammil Hassan, founder of Bridges TV, charged with second-degree murder

I'm an American
I've got a major pet peeve and wondered if anyone else is having this problem. I got my phone bill in and its all in spanish. I don't know what it says or anything. Now I'm all for speaking spanish (my grandmother was Puerto Rican and unfortunately I didn't learn from her), but why when I live in America am I getting a bill ALL in spanish. The only part that is different is where they give codes to pick up your voicemail, 3-way call, etc. That part is in both english and spanish (but the spanish is first). I thought I lived in America where the number one language is suppose to be ENGLISH! Has anyone else come across this.
Both are American
We have a Chrysler Town and Country van and a little green Ford whose name escapes me at the moment. LOL
eta: Oh, yeah, it's a Contour.
American Idol
Melinda is the one to beat this year, hands down, no one is really on the same level, especially after tonight. Lakisha will have to show us next week the power that she definitely has. I like the girl from Georgia, maybe Stephanie, not sure but the other ladies can throw in the towel and go home, oh Jordin is good, forgot about her but other than that, do not hold a candle to your power singers. They THINK they are that good, oh I would love to be on the show with Simon, so agree with him. They are so full of themselves, surprised if someone tells them they really have no talent! I am so disappointed with the guys this year. Have no choice there, miss Clay and Reuben!
American Idol
I love Lakisha's voice - I also like Sabrina. The guys I'm not sure about, but I think Chris has a good chance. He seems pretty versatile too.
Did anyone see American Idol?
Any picks for who goes, who stays?
American Idol - What did you think?
Here are my impressions:
Brandon: Poor baby forgot the lyrics. Hello; this is a contest and you aren't the best singer, so ...
Melinda: Excellent as usual, just not a very memorable song.
Chris Sligh: Decided to go with original arrangement, and the judges hated it. I didn't feel strongly either way, which could be a dangerious place to be if America concurs.
Gina: Good song choice, loved her as usual. She has really tough competition though.
Sanjaya: Still here?
Haley: One of her better performances, but ...
Phil Stacey: I thought it was good for him, so hopefully he won't go home just yet since he is not the worst.
Lakisha: Sensational was the word. Fantastic song for her, done superbly. I like this girl. :o}
Blake: Cute, and not bad at all. Let's not send him home yet America.
Stephanie: Surprisingly pitchy for me.
Chris Richardson: Probably not his best genre, but I like him. He shouldn't go yet.
Jordan Sparks: Wowza. Now my sister knew that song she did (from a children's animated movie, apparently), and she wasn't as impressed as I was, but I thought it was great.
American Idol
I, too, am really disappointed in AI this year. I don't feel like I'm 'addicted' to it this year, and if I missed an episode, it wouldn't be any big deal. I don't care for Melinda. I can't really put my finger on what it is, but something about her just irritates me. Maybe it's her 'aw shucks, really I'm good?' type of personality. Maybe she really is a sweet, modest person, but she annoys me. I leave the room most of the time when she comes on stage.
I like Blake a lot too, but I don't think he has much of a chance of winning. I think the judges' favorites are obvious: Melinda, Lakeisha, and Jordan. My faves are Lakeisha, Blake, and Gina.
American Idol
This is the first year I have watched. I miss Chris Sligh--I really liked his audition. I cannot for the life of me understand why Sanjaya is still on. I think Simon just gave up on him wondering why people keep voting him to stay. I felt he should have been the first to go. I like Gina and Jordin and the other young girl Haley (spelling?) I sort of hope Sparks wins. She has a very pleasant voice, seems sweet and she is only 17. She just amazes me.
American Idol
I was so disappointed to see Gina go last night - I wanted Sanjaya to go, of course, but with VOTEFORTHEWORST.COM and Howard Stern - that probably isn't going to happen. I would rather have seen Phil Stacey go than Gina. JMO
American Idol
What is going on with Sanjaya? I think he morphs himself into something so different each week, he may actually win !! (just kidding) but I actually liked him last night!!
I'm tired of Haley with her ultra short skirts and Phil Stacey with his googly eyes. I really like Blake now. I just don't know any more with this season's singers. I guess anything can happen at this point.
what about all those american mailmen who
this kid was as nearly as american as apple pie really, from 8-23 living in the states.....and he was here LEGALLY........
American Idol anyone see it?
I thought the young 17 yo boys did a great job, don't remember their names. One was blond, one was dark haired. There is some amazing talent out there. Can't wait to see the girls sing.
American Idol
Anyone enjoying AI as much as I am? Any predictions on the winner?
American Idol
I know that David Cook has a lot going on personally, but did anyone else think he was totally not with it last night? He usually does great, but I wasn't all that impressed with him last night.
Also, does anyone have a guess as to who is going home this week?
American Idol anyone?
I think Brooke needs to go home. I'm kinda tired of her little sad face she keeps using. I think she's limited as far as her voice. Last night was a toughie !
American Idol
How about it? Who is going to win? David Archeleta was just amazing last night. I could listen to him over and over.
Is your car foreign or American?
I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx. My last car is a 93 Buick Century wagon. I sold it to my nephew and he's still driving it. My car before that was a 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx.
Both Maxxes have 3.5 motors. I'm squeezing out an average of 24 mpg. I do mostly city driving. On a road trip last month the average was 38.6 mpg. The Buick wagon has a 3.3. The car is bigger so the mileage was lower but around 18 mpg.
I have not owned a foreign car since 1996.
American Idol
Ok, I'm trying to get fired up about American Idol this year. Last year's was kind of lame.
I hope it's better.
American Eskimo
Here is a picture of my two little ones, one on the left is a shaved eski named Romey and the one on the right is an unshaved eski named Jack. They stay quite white most of the time because they are a northern breed and the dirt sluffs off their fur and they never smell, but do shed. They have wonderful little personalities and are a joy to be around. Very loyal.
The one on the right loves children, the one on the left not so much. These are both rescues. If you are interested in one of these dogs, many need homes, just Google american eskimo dog rescue and you can find the perfect one for you and your family.
American Idol anyone?
I liked the short-haired blond girl a lot (I think she was third)and Danny who sang last. I also like Enoop!
definitely not American prisons
Shoot, they have it better in prison than we do on the outside. Living a life sentence (20 years) in prison is just not that big a deal now.
American Idol, really?
I thought Megan was acting like a 6 year old child last night. Oh, excuse me 6 year olds, did not mean to offend! I was suprised to see the bird-like movements and bird-like noises as she was told she was bottom 3 and told where to sit for such. As she and Anoop were being told of the outcome, her face was turning in all kinds of contortions and then she said she really did not care. Well apparently that just broke the camel's back with that statement and Simon said if you don't care, we don't care as well. I was told from years back actions such as hers were "cutting off your nose to spite your face", in other words she might have acted like she did not care when basically hard work to even get that far and her actions (childish) might wreck anyone looking at her as a potential singer. Silly girl!
American Southern Language
Okay, I need some help. I live northern Florida - not a native. A friend of mine in dental school says one of his instructors uses this phrase, "Your work looks like a cat could go through it." No one in the class knows what this means. Anyone know? TIA
American Idol bumped??
I hear the president will be speaking tonight. OMG, I love American Idol and I, along with others, are probably going to be really, really disappointed if the 2 hours are not on. I so much don’t care to see a state of the union from him.
I just watched American Idol.
Girls:
I'm voting for Melinda Doolittle. I thought she was fabulous. I also liked Gina Glocksen and Sabrina Sloan and Lakisha Jones
I thought Leslie Hunt improved a lot over previous performances, but compared to some others I don't think she has much of a chance. I was not as wowed by either Jordin Sparks or Stephanie Edwards the way I have been before, but I suspect next week will be better. I liked Haley Scaranato's song choice because it's a fun song.
Boys (I saw this by DVR so I didn't get to vote)
Loved Chris Richardson. AJ Tabaldo suprised me with a great performance. Shows the importance of song choice. Chris Sligh was good, and then maybe Nick. I usually like Blake Lewis, but it didn't sound original to me. Sundance finally came back and did a decent job. I thought Phil Stacey did pretty well.
Sanjaya can go home IMO.
American Idol fans.....sm
Did you laugh at Simon's comment/mannerism over Sanjaya last night? I about fell off the sofa laughing.
Best talent last night: Lakeisha & Melinda.
Most improved now they're singing the right kind of songs for their voice: Gina.
Your thoughts?
American idol - going down the drain
This is the most disappointing year this show has had. No nearly as much real talent as in years past and this thing with Sanjaya - he should never have gotten on the show to begin with. I think if he continues on the show - up to the finals, this will be the death of American Idol. I know that we are finding it harder to watch every week, but it is a family thing - so we just sit and bear it. I've read VOTEFORTHEWORST.COM and the comments by Howard Stern. While there may be some truth to what these sites say - I think this was really meant to be a real talent search - that has been ruined by a few people. Obviously, there is more talent that comes from the South than from any other part of the country - and I think that is part of the reason there is not as much real talent on the show this year, as they went to cities for auditions that they had not been to before - but it is showing and I think they are probably losing more viewers every week. We will watch to the end. I think if something was said to the sponsors (commercials) then something could change before the end, but the way it looks now - Sanjaya is going to hold on to the end - let's just hope he doesn't win - it's hard enough losing MT jobs to India - but someone with an Indian ancestory becoming the American Idol - that is just wrong.
American Idol - response
For those of you who are wondering why Sanjaya - the equivalent of MT outsourcing to India - is still on American Idol - go to the website - VOTEFORTHEWORST.COM - read what this website is all about and you will see why he is not even being in the bottom group anymore. That and the fact that Howard Stern has had it out for American Idol from the beginning and spends a great deal of time on his radio talk show spouting off about the show - negatively. This is the worst year - lack of talent, lack of improvement, and basically just plain boring. Except for the tabloid stories about Antonella and her soft-porn pictures on the internet and the racial tension that this caused (due to an Islamic group and regarding Frenchie from an earlier season) this year has been a big disappointment. I think maybe the judges are tiring of the repetition and other than the 3 top women (LaKeisha, Melinda, and Jordin) there is not much reason to even tune in each week. It will not surprise me if this is the final season for this show. I cannot imagine anyone even buying tickets to see the top 10 on tour since Sanjaya is in that group - he has ruined this show and its integrity.
American Idol, Apprentice, etc.--sm
I am tired of the diatribe about all these shows. There should be an *entertainment* board on here where people can discuss these shows without making those of us who could care less about them ill. JMO
American Idol.. is anyone else in tears like me?
I swear.. some of these clips are getting to me, and Josh Groban and those little girls? I'm just a mess.
I guess it doesn't help that I'm sitting here transcribing an autopsy at the same time, which always gets to me anyway.
American Idol - and Kathryn
Has anyone seen Kathryn McPhee's music video? It is so bad. I mean really bad. Maybe she isn't cut out to do videos, but if not - she needs to do something else and stay off of MTV and VH1 - her's is one of the worst videos I have ever seen and I cannot believe that they even put it on the air. The song is bad, the video is worse.
American Idol...does anyone really like Blake? sm
I would have loved to see the final showdown be between Melinda & Jordin.... but on the other hand Melinda is better off since she is free to get her own recording contract and you know she will. I think she'll end up being as successfull as Kelly & Carrie... if not more.
No. Recently. Besides she is African-American
nm
thing I don't like the most is calling american cos
The thing I detest the most is calling American companies and getting that recording....*if you'd like to speak English, press 1* - and these messages we all get with longstanding *American* companies....(whether they offshore or not today). It should say *if you'd like to speak Spanish, press 1; if you'd like to speak Creole, press 2, if you'd like to speak Russian, press 3, if you'd like to speak Portuguese, press 4, if you'd like to speak Hebrew, press 5, if you'd like to speak Arabic, press 6, etc., ad nauseum.....
To make us 2nd-3rd-4th generations push 1 if we'd like to speak English is nauseating!!! Somebody sold us out sometime......and as i recall, when my grandparents came to this country (all 4 of them), THEY LEARNED ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone own an American Girl Doll?
I'm working on a bedding set for ebay and I need the measurement of the drop from the top of the mattress to the floor for the bedskirt. This could be Felicity's, Abby's or Samantha's bed, I think they all measure the same. I have a doll bed but it's not American Girl and I think the drop is different. Thanks.
