school yesterday afternoon and went with him to his last three classes of the day which happen to the ones he's doing the worst in.  He was mortified, mad, and I thought his head would pop off.  I think I made my point.  After school, I went with him to his English class because she asked that he stay after so she could help him catch up on his assignments.  So I sat in the back of the class while my son and his teacher worked.  And while I sat there I decided to write out some rules.

Last night my son and I sat down and talked and he said he'd do anything I asked him to do if I would please never come to his school again.  I simply said that depends on you and we left it at that.  I grounded him indefinitely - until I get some good reports back from his teachers.  No TV, no video games, no friends over, or telephone.

I don't know what will happen, but I have to say I feel pretty good just by taking control of the situation and going to his school.  A couple of weeks ago I was saying "what am I supposed to do, go to school and follow him around??!?"  And now I know that answer is yes, if that's what I have to do.  I feel less stressed.

It's not just a Cuban thing here any longer.  There are so many *tongues* spoken here - it's like the United Nations....no, really, a real melting pot, a lot like NYC....and if you only speak one language, you will run into problems.....AND it's not just Miami, the multiethnicities have moved all the way up north of Orlando...central and south florida.

Pit bulls are either not allowed in Miami-Dade County in Florida but I heard something about having $600,000 insurance if you own one.....but that COULD be Broward County where they are allowed.  I'm in Miami.

this is television without pity and the link for only The View comments - you have to register to post (which I refuse to do) but it makes for GREAT reading when you have nothing better to do....*lol*

that was when her original contract was supposed to expire, June 2007, a school-year yearly contract.  ABC wanted her to sign a 3-year contract for the amount of $$ she requested.........and she only wanted to sign a one-year contract.......

I will miss her as I had given up the View due to Star Jones' fiascos....and now, once again, after June, I will never watch it again.  Rosie brought the ratings up because after 9 years of Star Jones, people were tired of the show.

Ta-Ta to The View and ABC.....

It's not junk.....They're treasures!  Trying to gear up, wash, tag and display it all is quite a task....But, you'll have cleaned out your garage and/or storage unit, enriched someone else's life with your old treasures and made a neat profit.
