think of a place you both have never been or you know you both like (something interesting and fun). Not necessarily far away or great in the minds of others, but just a place where you can have fun.
To me, so much closeness comes from laughing and having a good time together. I would choose something that will make you laugh and feel active together over a romantic dinner.
