No helmet, not even her jacket....sm
and it is a little cool out tonight.  I'm sure she is going slow too, but hanging on to my daughter with one hand and trying to maneuver the 4-wheeler with the other hand cannot be an easy task, especially when she's trying to stay out of the way of the tractors and whatever else is coming and going from the yard.  I know she would never do anything to harm her, but WHAT IF.....You just never know when an accident can happen, so why risk it?  My daughter doesn't even know what a 4-wheeler is, and you would get the same emotion out of her if you put her in a stroller and walked her around the yard - she likes to be on the move.  Thank you for you response.  And you do not sound grim - you are just telling the truth - that is exactly what was going through my mind.  I will have to let her know I'm not comfortable with this.
I really like it - but after the initial kit (sm)
you can see which products you actually use regularly and just buy those. I haven't bought any in a few months and see a huge difference in my skin - it doesn't come back the day you stop using it but it does gradually. It really does work though!
Glad she got her jacket back.

I wish you would have left the initial responses on it :(

Time to see the vet, especially if she hasn't had initial

Putting in middle initial so can differentiate
the difference is that apparetnly this law is to have women see a fetus growing and thinking this will change their mind by seeing the ultrasound. My heart told me what to do and my mind certainly was such that I had more sense than to bring a child into the world I could not possibly care for financially to start with. I never worried a minute or a day with my decision. I can live with most all decisions I have made in my life very easily.
I believe the outfit is a suit (jacket optional), pantyhose and heels.

See, that's was exactly my initial response to the negative drug test. SM

I felt like relief that my son, even when faced with the temptation, resisted the urge to smoke pot with his friends.  I actually congratulated my son and told him how proud I was that he hadn't been taking any drugs or smoking pot.  But then I wondered if he should be punished for having a bong in his pack.  He obviously didn't use it, but why did he have it?

Now I think I may lift the grounding, but set some rules about him avoiding being around the 23-year-old guy and basically having him check in with me routinely when he is out and as long as he follows the rules, then I'll trust him.

Geez, I don't think I'm going to survive the teenage years and they've only just begun!  I can only hope that when my 7yo daughter reaches her teens, she will go a little easier on me!

Thanks everyone for listening and offering your advice.

My 50 y/o bud was THE most matronly MOB you can imagine in a long brocade gown & bolero jacket.

Are you a night person or a morning person?
Just curious . . .
Cat Owner (lol) here..
She likes to lay under my desk, and once in a while during the day when the kids are at school, she hops up on her hind legs and taps me on the arm with her paw just to say "hey, I'm still alive here, ya' gonna type all day or pet me a while?"  She meows to get my attention.  But then of course, I'd love to be her sometimes.  She can just curl up anywhere, anytime and take a long, long nap!  I'm so jealous!  She wakes us all up in the morning meowing for something to eat.  Poor thing last night...  I poured the milk into her bowl, left it on the counter, and went upstairs to tuck the kids in, and she's just following me to their bedrooms meowing away.  I didn't know what her problem was, and when I went downstairs again, lo and behold I hadn't put the darn bowl of milk down for her.  I wonder if she'll turn me in for abuse?  What a tease that was for her I'm sure.
Cat Owner
Congratulations on your new "child". I have two cats of my own. It sounds like you have everything set for your cat while you're gone. I do all of the same things, with the exception of the radio/TV. I've left my cats alone for a week at at time for vacations and they do just fine. It's like they get a vacation too, away from my 3-1/2 year old. LOL.
Cat owner
How about feeding him one of the lower calorie/fat cat foods?  You could probably feed him the same amount and he wouldn't be taking in as many calories.  Did you ever try using a laser light?  If he likes it, he'll run up the walls!  Hope this helps.

Be sure you don't give him anything with aspirin in it - it is toxic to cats. Not sure about Pepcid but definitely no Pepto-Bismol.
Pet owner poll: sm

Do any of you feel that the monthly one-spot flea and tick preventions are hazardous to your pets' health?

Between my best friend and me, we had 6 dogs.  Since June, 3 of them developed cancers, 2 of whom died.  The common denominator is Frontline.   Her dog was only 4, and my 2 were 10 and 8.   Her dog had a leiomyosarcoma.  Mine had squamous cell sarcoma and the other had undifferentiated giant cell sarcoma.  We both live in Florida where fleas and ticks can be a big problem.

Two other friends claim they don't give their dogs these preventatives because they were told they were poisonous to dogs, the advice coming from holistic vets.

What are your thoughts and experiences, and where do you live?

Thanks.

gift for owner
How about a pillar candle tied up in tulle with a gorgeous bow? (If you can't make a bow, these are available in stores.) She won't care that you didn't spend a lot, but love you for thinking about her. Or, even less expensive, make her a batch of homemade candy or cookies and present them in a pretty tin - everyone likes to get homemade goodies.
It is my understanding that the owner of the --sm
property has the right to ask anyone to leave. It is their property and they do not OWE you to live there, even if you have been there all your life. If you are paying less rent than the average renter, I can see why he is doing this. You may be a good tenant, but everything, these days, comes down to dollars and cents. He may not have to do too much to "renovate," but he can get a much bigger price in rent. I really don't think you have a leg to stand on and I am sorry for your situation, but the owner can do anything they want to with their property.
A responsible owner would never allow...sm
Their pitbull to wander around public. That is why we have attacks. Owners should be responsible and keep them as well as any dog in a fenced in yard. Or if out in public on a leash. Mine will never be wandering around in public on its own. That is totally irresponsible. If I saw a pitbull out in public I would be cautious myself.
The fence did not cause the dog to die. The owner did by not making sure
the batteries were changed on a regular basis.   The fence and the dog are blameless.  The only one who had any control over the situation dropped the ball....poor dog.
If the owner feels their being there could cause a problem

Not arguing about the right for a business owner--sm
to refuse service to anyone, but, according to the article I read, OJ and his group came into the restaurant, sat in the back and were not causing a problem. The owner had the problem, as one of the waitresses was *giddy* that OJ was there. He specifically stated he asked OJ to leave because he did not like what OJ had done (in the past). To me, that is discrimination. He was not causing a problem. It was the owner of the restaurant who had a problem. But that is just my opinion.

I just do not think it is right that a place that is *open to the public* can ask someone to leave just because they do not like that person. If OJ had been causing a problem, that would have been different, but he was not. It was all the owners feelings about the man. that's all.

However, this thread is taking an ugly turn and since I have said all I have wanted to say on the subject, I am backing out now. Have a good day.
I am the renter..NOT the owner of the house

TAIB - Owner reply
This is not my company that is being named here - I am the sole owner of TAIB and have been nor plan to be associated with another company.  Our MTs are paid on time and we do not have the problems mentioned in this chain of email.  If Heda would like to contact me for clarification, I would be happy to speak to him/her.  Otherwise I would request an apology - Sincerely, Penny Jackson Pray - Owner of TAIB - Transcription At Its Best, Inc.

? gifts for new puppy owner sm
She just bought a new Springer Spaniel. Would like to make her a little basket and wonder if anyone else has a Springer. I don't like gift cards, too impersonal.
not entirely true - Trump is pageant co-owner. n/m

Point is the owner thinks it's fine so why not?!
Same for dogs or cats or birds or snakes.

Having a pet is a personal choice and it should be kept on personal property or areas specifically designed FOR having pets.

cat owner and just built a house 3 years ago -
I used 2000 sq feet of tile that is mottled with several colors and then 1000 sq feet of teak. I have 4 cats (one Maine Coon who is nearly as big as some dogs!) who are rough and tumble when they play. If I had it to do again I would go with a lighter color of wood floor. Teak is a medium color and does show scratches where it is darker. Just my 2 cents. Good luck. :-)
they interviewed the owner - looks like he "runs" things

put her in your yard; her owner cannot argue against your action.

Kitty cat question. I am a first time cat owner and need
She was litter box trained and then started spending more time outside (we live in the country) and stopped using the box. She probably has not used the box in 3 or 4 months. Just going outside. Now last night she went in the floor of my bedroom, and again today!! UGH. Now question - Do I put her litter box in my room in the spot where she went, just for a while and then can I move it. If I cant move it later, I dont want to put it here. Or do I leave the box where it is and put her in it tonight? Or do I leave her out at night? I just dont know what to do. Thanks in advance for any advice.
for blondie and forever pitbull owner

I thought you might like to read the below story.

That guy, the dog's owner, was Marcus Luttrell, a war hero
author of Lone Survivor.  He was the lone survivor of his Navy Seal team on a mission in Afghanistan.  This dog was given to him during his rehabilitation to help with recovery when he came home.  It just makes me sick!
I went to a strawberry pickin' farm Monday. The owner sm
told our large group of homeschoolers (both moms and dads) during our tour that he had to learn the hard way that women make THE GREATEST strawberry planters. He said he hired a bunch of men one year and that was the last time he did that. He said now they are all women - they take their time, take pride in their work, and just do something for the soil where he has huge, gorgeous berries whenever they plant them.  All the women there broke into applause. I thought it was so funny.  I just liked seeing a man actually admit to something like that.....
Time to report the owner to Animal Control if you have a

Oh SOOO cute. But please read inside for a warning (I'm a dog owner) sm

Puppies develop habits really quickly, so discourage licking the can thing.  Mine would get cans out of the garbage and one had a cut edge and he terrribly cut his mouth and tongue.  I felt like such a careless dog mom.  A true accident, but now maybe I can help you prevent the same thing?  Please excuse my post... I am not a know-it-all and I actually don't like it when someone posts something lighthearted and then someone (like me) gets kind of off topic in the thread with a reply like this one, but maybe it will help you prevent an accident.  But this is an adorable picture and I love your puppy.

It probably varies from person to person (sm)

With me, first child I was out of the bed seriously within 5 minutes of having him.  I didn't tear or have to be cut, he was 7 pounds, 3 ounces.  The doctor did some type of vaginal massage on me though while I was in labor and that was supposed to help loosen the vaginal wall?

Second child, same experience.  She was 8 pounds, 1 ounce and within 5 minutes of having her, while they took her to the nursery to get cleaned up and all, I walked downstairs with my husband to the cafeteria to get a drink and stretch my legs.  I had already put my regular clothes back on as well.  My doctor who delivered her was walking in my room as I was walking in and he was stunned a second and said he thought I was a visitor, LOL, not the patient.

I don't think you have to have bed rest in normal cases.  With my son I went home within 24 hours with him and with my daughter we went home in only 20 hours.

you should have bought it together.
my husband adn i shop together at the sex shops. i would be angry too if you were trying to hide it.
What GPS was that you bought ? ...sm
I am terrible with getting around. I could get lost easily and the older I get the worse I get with not wanting to drive. I would love a GPS that has the capability of telling you exactly when to turn etc. I have no sense of direction.

Thanks

I just bought something like that, it was about , sm
$14.00. I have 2 cats and they would just play with the mouse, so I thought I'd try something to keep it away.

I just bought it the other day and so far no sight of the mouse. Hope it keeps it away.
I bought one...sm
I just bought one this weekend for my 6yo son. He LOVED it. I made the outside only rule too and so far he has obeyed. It doesn't hurt to get "hit" with one and it seriously provided hours of fun for him.
Just bought my mom...
I just bought my mom Paula Dean's set which you can purchase at Wal-Mart. It is stainless as well.
I will take more than I bought in the first place
if they don’t cough up the $700 plus Tuesday morning and according to what (if that is the way it goes) it brings in on the court house steps, then I get % and the courts take % but not as much as mine. I can hardly wait until Show-Down at the OK Corral Tuesday morning. I just get ticked off thinking about their nerve.
Our son just got married in May and I bought
Regularly $129.00 and I paid $35.00 for it, so it is not necessary to pay a lot of money, the sales are out there. The colors were blue and gray and I wore a darker pink dress (not bright) and it worked out really well. I am a larger sized woman and the dress looked very nice in my size. I wish you the very best.
Just bought a Fleetwood PUP (sm)
and you don't want to know what we paid!! But we plan to have for years - into retirement so looking at it as investment. Have been out twice so far - we have the hard-sided bathroomm - we absolutely love it. I was concered about storage inside but very spaceous. We're on west coast so no advice on camp sites. Have fun and Happy RVing!!
My son is 10 - bought him a men's 9 today (sm)
I know the feeling! His feet are bigger than mine and the same size as his dads!
My daughter bought that for her son
and he LOVES it. He learned so much and had a lot of fun with it. I remember my three kids all watching that show and it brings back memories. I really helped my grandson with several things he kept "forgetting." Does anyone else like Bill Nye the Science Guy? My grandson loved that too and my grownup son is still crazy about it. I say more good shows like those! Bring them on!
I actually just bought a Rug Doctor
from their web site. It is the best thing ever! It does a great job on the carpets and furniture. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can try it in my minivan. We have owned the store brand ones like Bissel and Dirt Devel, but they just don't do nearly as good of a job as the Rug Doctor. Ours came with huge supply of different cleaning fluids too. I love the thing!
I bought a new car a week ago...
If anyone cares. A brand new Kia Spectra. I got a great deal on it. They gave me a $2000 rebate so that meant no down payment. And they took off an additional $500 for applying for it on the internet. I love the car and it gets around 35 mpg. So that is my good news!
