All spanking does is make kids respect you to your face (sm)
it does not teach them anything at all. When my kids were very young and I could not reason with them, they did occasionally get a swat to get them to listen to me, but once they are old enough to reason, there is no reason to use physical force on them. I am telling you, all it does is raise sneaky kids.

Help with Grilled Chicken / Indoor grilling please
Ok, so I am really bad at cooking. We eat out most of the time, but I want to change that because I know it's not healthy and it's very expensive. My kids (ages 4 and 5) really like grilled chicken breast, but I have no idea how to make it!
I bought an indoor grill....actually I bought two. I have one of the George Foreman type contact grills and I also got an indoor open grill. I tried making chicken breasts last night, but they didn't taste that good. I don't know what seasoning would be good to use.
So can anyone help me out here? How can I make a delicious chicken breast on the indoor grill? I use boneless skinless breasts. I also usually end up over-cooking them for fear of eating raw chicken - and then they dry out 
Any advice is appreciated. Would also appreciate some advice on making good steaks on the indoor grill. What cut of steak? Seasoning? HELP!!!! 
I was going to try grilling them on aluminum foil. Not sure I could turn them. nm

I toasted white bread, picked some lettuce from the garden and put a little sesame dressing on it, some chedder cheese and scrambled egg with a pinch of garlic salt and pepper . It was SO good. Just had to share :-)

Every now and again I get WICKED insomnia myself...definitely stress related. It totally sucks too, I know what you're goin' through. Throws everything outta whack.
Tylenol PM works really well for me...just one tablet and I'm out for a minimum of 9 hours. Wine will make me sleepy but really just puts me out for a 2-3 hour nap. Otherwise, just my daily chores and typin' work is enough to make me want to be in bed by 7 and not get up until the alarm goes off at 5.
"They" say to set a schedule and try to stick to it. No naps during the day, and the bedroom is only for sleeping and, er, well no tv and no food anyway ;-) I also use a white-noise machine (actually just a fan that I affectionatly call "noisy fan") and have one of those Plug-Ins in a relaxing scent (lilac).
Being anal retentive, I find I can fall asleep easiest knowing that all the house stuff is done (dishes, laundry, coffee maker prepped, etc) and when I get up everything is clean and ready for the next day.
Good luck with it all...have the hot flashes hit yet?

and of course can't forget my daughter eating green beans with ketchup (they are like French fries mom!)
Wrap them in aluminum foil and put in a
pan as you suggested or, if you have crock pots, you could put them in there on warm. If your kitchen at teh church has an oven, I would wrap them and put them in the oven on warm, and then replace them on the serving table as needed.

mine already have me like that. Did not take long. That was a really cute quote! I call them my furkids, 3 of those babies. Hubby asking me how old they have to be before I quit calling them babies- the answer is never!

Apparently you, for example......I know moms of boys and sometimes I think some of them are delusional about their *boys/men*.....I don't know - I surely just don't get it.....as much as I try to get it.....
you can wrap them in alu foil and put them into the oven (preheated).....
But then they do not come out crispy, rather soggy, but good, nevertheless.
Not from CA, but what about a fancy sun dress and a sparkly wrap of some sort for the AC/night

She's rich ($$$$$$$$$) at this point.... :) Not another show featuring cardboard and fake cooking sprays? Do we really need another show for "light eating"? Our elders lived long lives on lard...... :) Keep on cookin', just don't eat that heavy stuff every day/night! Enjoy.... 
I have OD'd on peanut butter fudge
I don't know why I do this every year. I just went downstairs for a drink and loaded up on smoked ham with a peanut butter fudge chaser. A moment on the lips, forever on the hips...

Nope - always have used real butter

Peanut butter fudge recipe
 When I was little my mom used to make the world's best peanut butter fudge. She used brown sugar in it. There was a quickie fudge recipe in the Mrs Clause cookbook that called for just chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk, was thinking about trying something with that. Does anybody have a good brown sugar peanut butter fudge recipe?

All this time I thought they were the same thing because at the roadside stand it said "cracklin pork", so I just thought it must be pork skins like I see in the store (and yes, they are with the potato chips). Guess this AL transplant has not even known there was a difference. Thanks for clearing that up.  All I know is I cannot stand the sight or smell of either of them.
Two egg whites fried in butter flavored spray and a cup SM
of hot Lipton tea with lemon. Same thing every morning, and God help me if I look in the canister and discover I am out of tea bags! That just can't happen!

Chocolate-Oatmeal-Peanut Butter Yum-Yums
Melt 1 stick butter.
Add: 2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
Bring to a boil and then boil for 1 minute.
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter (I use creamy)
2 c. quick oats
1 tsp. vanilla
Stir in peanut butter until melted. Stir in vanilla and quick oats. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto waxed paper and let sit until cool and then refrigerate.
Don't know about cats. What about adding mayo or plain veggie oil to their food? Or butter? nm

I shred the beef and saute with a little finely diced onion and butter,
then add a bit of flour to make a roux and brown that lightly. Then warm milk to "cream" it. I like a bit of good paprika, sometimes the hot variety, at the end.

Egg on his face as in him saying
that the YOUNG women were going to go in droves to vote for her as they did not want to take care of their own selves, either getting a husband to take care of them or else having government to do. I know older women voted that way, their choice but I said egg on his face for making such remarks on and on about how YOUNG women (under 35) were going in that direction. Has absolutely nothing to do with her leading- has everything to do with a statement completely false. Now are you still confused?

I personally know of at least 10 to 15 ladies that feel it is the man's place to take care of them and that is all they want out of life -- they are between 38 and 50. So now what do you say -- sorry I do not want this lady voted for because she is a woman, and I definitely do not want her leading us. But that is for the political board and not here. But egg on face -- you have some now.
Maybe take it for it's face value
and just accept it in the spirit in which it may be given. Only you know the relationship you have with her. She may have just gotten the proverbial bug up you know where and decided since she got a discount to use it. It may be an olive branch of some sort. Who knows. I'd take it as an olive branch unless and until she proves otherwise.
