Make him repay every mean thing he does to his brother with 3 nice things sm

Take away a privelege he really enjoys and make him spend that time doing three nice things for his brother - through gritted teeth - every time he does something mean. For example - you hit your brother, you clean his room, let him use your favorite toy and clean his plate for him after dinner tonight. If he responds in anger during that timeframe and hits again, he starts all over again, three nice things. I had to do this with my son with negative things he would say. It worked well. Now when he starts to slip up we start the three nice things again and he remembers quickly.

That's not very nice, to make the
worker guy come out and give a long formal bid and give ideas, wasting hours of his time when he could be actually making money, all the while knowing you never intend to actually hire him anyway....
How would you like a physician's office to call you to give a bid, get you to spend hours explaining how we do what we do, how we charge, line count, etc., then find out later they never intended to hire you but just wanted to find out about the business...
I would go to Home Depot or Lowes and pick their brains - at least they're paid for that kind of thing.
why not make Christmas nice for my own child?
the current economic situation has not allowed us to do very much this year. This is a gift from heaven for us!
Why thank you! What a nice thing to say!
My lovely piggy demonstrated to my neighbors and me that my electric fence no longer zaps like it should by blazing a path through the fence to their apple tree, which is currently dropping lovely apples all over the ground just for her! They said she's actually been doing that for almost 2 weeks now but never told me because they love having her come over and visit! Can you imagine?! Here I am, typing away all day, having absolutely no clue to the malfesiance going on in my own back yard! I mean, she would be in her stall in the morning for breakfast, and at night she was in her stall waiting for dinner. Little did I know she had this daily appointment for the past few weeks!
Obviously I can't let her "walk abouts" continue because it's just not cool. They are super great neighbors and am so lucky they love animals, but no one likes a rogue pink pig.
So, I just came in from whacking about 1/4 acre of incredibly thorny scotch thistle that is growing along my electric fence line, which is stealing the juice from my zappy fence, and I almost did my "fainting goat" routine. As I was whacking with a manual weed whacker (kind of like a sickle), a GARGANTUAN black and yellow spider was danging from the end of my whacker in extremely close proximity to my face.
I just froze and nearly lost bowel function. I think it was a good 10 minutes before I was able to move from where I was standing, spider just sitting on the sickle without a care in the world, clueless as to it's power over me. My eyeballs still hurt from not blinking the whole time. I'm still covered in goosebumps as I write this. So, now the sickle thing is lying out there and I'm in here like the big wuss I am, reading one of my favorite forums. Now I'm gonna have a beer (or 3) and reflect on why I do the things I do.
That's really not nice of him, you poor thing
Good that he he let you do the baby!
things like this make my day a little better.

That's not a nice thing to say, curious girl,
a lot of us really tried to give you solid and helpful advice!
You should insist that the police help you, but obviously you do not want and you continue to try to solve this problem on your own.
This is a dangerous situation.
Things to make a bike more fun - sm
I'm a big believer in mountain bikes. Not only are they great for riding on regular pavement, but you also have the freedom to go on dirt roads and trails. I don't know why, but riding uphill on pavement seems like a chore to me, but on a trail, it's an adventure.
You can probably get the bike shop to replace the standard seat with a wider one... lots of people do that. The ones with gel padding are GREAT... and will make it possible to ride more miles before your posterior gets tired or sore.
The other thing I do when I buy a bike (especialy a mountain bike) is have the shop remove the toe-clip-things fom the pedals, and just put on standard pedals. I don't like the feeling of my feet being attached to the pedals, and want to be able to put my feet on the ground at a moment's notice. (Or, jump off! Haha...)
If you get a bike with lots of gears, such as a 21-speed, then going up hills will be much easier, since you can put it into a very low gear. If you have the money, a lighter frame adds to the ease of climbing hills (or, just carrying the bike, or loading it into a car or truck.)
If you ride lots of bumpy or dirt roads, "Rock-Shox" on the front wheel can help ease neck, wrist or shoulder pain. I don't have them on my current bike, and boy do I feel it when I hit a bump. But I can't afford them right now.
Also, especially with a moutain bike, I believe in getting the tires puncture-proofed. (Or more puncture-RESISTANT, I should say.) Nothing worse then getting far from home, running over a sticker-weed, and then having to walk home pushing the bike. They make interior tire liners called "Mr. Tuffies" that can be put inside the tire to help resist flats. Finally, invest in a good bicycle lock, so that if you ride it to the market, or leave it anywhere, someone else won't come along and steal your fun!
It is attitudes like yours that make things nauseating! sm
I will never understand why there is no room for Santa and religion during the holidays!! Santa brings about all the innocence for children. I grew up in a very catholic family and in no way did believing in santa interfere with the religous meaning of the holiday. Santa is fun and innocent for a child to believe in. The world is bad enough to grow up in these days...why would anyone not want to believe in santa?? That is what is nauseating. Just my opinion.
Why does it make a man feminized if he enjoys things
that smell good. My son (not quite 26 years old) is not at all feminized (lives with his girlfriend) and enjoys candles. He likes nice smells.
P.S. I don't approve of the fact that he and his girlfriend live together, but that's another story.
try a gentler approach with them, try watching the kid, even puppy sit, it may make things better

and another thing...I wasn't trying to make myself seem more important sm
I was just saying reliable because I knew this stuff could very well be true - nothing to do with me personally. Get a grip - and I know who you are from your name. Shame on you.
You make it sound like it's a good thing --
Are you just being sarcastic? I hope so. I love kids, but seriously, this country can't afford to have women having more children than they can afford. Look at the mess we're in now with welfare, not to mention the abuse and neglect these children suffer. I live in a very rural, low income area. I have seen so many children whose parents don't care for them, yet they continue to "pop out" more babies to get more welfare benefits.
If this becomes a new trend, the govt will end up removing the welfare caps in order to support these children. I know it's not the children's fault, but it isn't my fault either. I'm tired of paying for the welfare system as it is.
Sure thing! I make them every year. Easy, fun, and yummy!

I have a great brother like that too! I love my Big Brother!
Enjoy the love!
I have an older brother and younger brother
and I was a terrible handful, especially during high school compared to my brothers.
I've heard good things and about things about taking prednisone. My mom was on it for SM
for awhile and it made her look so swollen. I sympathize with you.
What a nice response by a nice mom
What a gracious, well-adjusted response to a rude, obviously maladjusted poster--Hard to imagine someone with such an empty life and such a petty spirit that they would take the time to post criticism about a kid's feet! (Some people really have major issues, LOL!)
Happiness is a heart thing; pleasure is a head thing.nm
At that rate, I could make in a week what I make

I have the best brother ever!
Tonight my brother called, said he loved me and he knew I was struggling to catch up after being laid off and would I accept his gift to help me catch back up. I love my family. It isn't like he has money to spare really but he got a really nice bonus and wanted to share it with me.
My brother and I also won sm
a Halloween costume competition when we were little. He for my original costume (He was a hobo)and me for prettiest costume (me, what else, a princess)My mom was a whiz with the sewing machine. Funniest thing, We had the same last name as the anme of the department store that sponsered the competition. I assure you we were in no way related, but I bet no one else belived it.
Big Brother
Did anyone watch Big Brother last night? Did you think Julie Chen looked awfully skinny. I did not think she looked good at all.
Big Brother
Who out there watches Big Brother? What is wrong with everyone this season? They all seem so emotional. It is so funny to watch. No one gets along. Can't stand Jen.
Oh brother!
a
My brother's got one. They ALWAYS
Why not put $500.00 away in a bank account and then take long weekends or splurge on a huge trip? I don't see where you're saving money really, plus someone's padding their pocket somewhere. :(
My brother
was a wild one when he was 15, hung out with an older crowd and so on. But he straightened out in his early 20s when most guys his age were still barhopping. He ended up getting his GED and now he is a Fire Capt. I think some kids go through those wild years a little earlier than others. I would not be comfortable with him hanging out with a 23-year-old though. Makes you wonder what the older guy's motivation is hanging out with a young teenager. Good luck.
Big Brother
Is anyone out there as disgusted with the results of Big Brother this year? I cannot even watch the last one because it will make me physically sick to see either Daniele or Evel win. Daniele is the biggest baby I have ever seen and Evel is the meanest person I think I have ever seen.
Big Brother
Oh, I was disgusted with how it turned out last night. I bet there are a lot of people out there that feel the same way. I won't have to worry about missing the next show.
Big Brother
I love ED.. He is just being realistic. You do what you gotta do when you are in a game like that. It always amazes me why people get their feelings hurt.. They are there to win the money and that is simply all. Waste of time otherwise. I am glad he won.. of course, his daughter will get the money because of the hate people feel for him... The truth hurts sometimes.

O Brother
I glad you enjoyed it....
brother
I'm glad your brother seems to be getting his life together. . my ex was always a wonderful father - that is how I knew the drugs had finally taken over - when our daughter needed medical tests done - lost health insurance when he quit his job - and I BEGGED him to do something to get some money so she could have her tests done. . he did nothing. . I filed for divorce right after that. . he would never even admit he was on drugs. . if he had, we could have tried to get help maybe. .
i could have had his brother - nm

Well, at least not as bad as his gay brother
who has his own porn site, it is called Kitty-Porn. When husband not at home this furry is on hub's computer setting up, shall we say meetings. I would not have known had it not been for my husband telling me he had extra charges on his cell from someone named Romeo, that is when he found out about the gay site fatcat's brother is running. I tell you, these kids now days. They will be the death of me yet!
Through my brother...
and have only been apart when truly necessary!
Oh brother!
This is a 16-year-old you are talking about??? You seem awfully involved in the drama of highschool life. Don't teach him to be concerned about what some snotty girl is doing. Tell him to decide what he wants to do for his B-day and get over it. When he is 35, he will either remember a birthday spent worrying about someone whose name he can't recall, or that he had a really great birthday with friends that were true friends. His choice! This is hardly the end of the world.
My brother is ................. sm
smoking some sausage, ribs, etc., for dinner and we are making potato salad and beans and trimmings to go along with it. He doesn't do this too often, so we are looking forward to a different Easter dinner this year!
Great Brother!
He is very special. Can't be he's married to someone who resents his having much to do with his sister, only sibling.
I am in NJ and worry about my brother-in-law
even though the fires are not near him, things can change if those winds do not stop soon. I wish the best for your friend. Yes, everyone's spirits out there seem to be good. They go through so much with these fires and earthquakes. I believe that is what gives them the strength to deal with these disasters when they happen.
Just to clarify - the brother that my son
lives 30 miles East of my parents. He does not visit, call, he is better than the rest of the family. Read my recent post above in regards to being a future felon. Yes, life is too short now isn't it?
Don't get walnut. My brother did,
and it's not as hard as it sounds like it would be. Cherry is very hard. which is why it is so popular.
I just have WilsonArt (like Pergo), and I got a medium tone. I don't like the color. It is too dull brown. I wish I had gotten something more interesting and dramatic, like light or dark or at least the honey shade I planned on, but I got a good deal on this color, and now I regret the color, but not the product.
Hardwood is better for resale value in many places, and does look better IF you can take care of it. WilsonArt, on the other hand, is indestructable, so it holds up better for rough use.
Another consideration you didn't mention is if you are getting flat boards or the ones with a little edge on them or other texture. I've seen wide planks that had an interesting effect that was very rustic looking. I'm sure any sort of texture would collect dirt, but if you are going to vacuum frequently anyway, the textures/shaped boards look fabulous to me.
Try to see as many pictures and even completed rooms as possible before you decide.
Big brother needs to be careful
I sincerely hope your son didn't run wants/warrants, DL, car registration, LEADS or anything else on sis's boyfriend. My sister is a deputy sheriff, and if she did anything like that for a personal reason, the sheriff would have her badge in about 2 seconds flat. That is a major no-no and one of the first things they learn if they work in the radio room.
My brother has quite a few Boxers
They are so funny!
We'll probably go to my brother's
He also has 5 boxer dogs that the kids love to play with. I'll probably take some chili cheese dip or some chicken wings; it's hard to tell what I'll come up. Him and his wife are on a diet, so I don't want to bring too much of that kind of stuff. Maybe I'll make a salad!
Big brother in action again
What happened to freedom of choice? When did what we do off the clock become everyone's business, and when did we, the workers, agree we need some authority with a conflict of interest to police everyone's health for their own good?
So what's next - we all have no health insurance eventually because some greedy insurer decides something we do is a risk? In this profession in particular, they could look to disqualify us for being overweight, or the likelihood of carpal tunnel, or any of the other problems that come from being chained to a keyboard the majority of the time.
On the other hand, some politicians introduce platforms aimed to force us to buy insurance. But what if you are disqualified by the almighty insurers? You can't make everybody get insurance if more and more people are refused insurance due to risk. Something has got to give here, and the madness must stop.
Best of luck to your brother...sm
I am glad he is getting this checked out and that they moved the stress test up. The sooner they figure out what's going on, the sooner he can treat it and at least get that stress out of the way. Let us know how things go.
My brother has 6 boxers.
They don't bite, but they do jump and they wag their tales hard. They are natural lickers (kissers), in my opinion. All we say the whole time we visit is "GIIITTT" because when one is done jumping and kissing/licking, here comes the next one...
