Love the show but was very aggravated too. The biggest reason I think Marcel is there is because

he is using "gastronomy" (not sure if that is exactly right), but what it boils down to he is using chemicals to increase the flavor in different ways without it affecting the way the food looks, etc.

They probably figure if Marcel wins, he won't sue the show for that incident.
But I will not miss Sam, Mr. No Personality Whatsoever, at all. I seriously think he needs a little Prozac or something :)
If you love him, there is no reason to search for something that may not exist.
I never got that feeling either about the man I married 17 years ago and had two kids with, and I'm glad I have been with him instead of searching for something else.
I love this show.
It is interesting to me how the views change regarding this show in respect to poligamist themselves. Just from different interviews about this show. Some say the "heated scenes" don't occur and that the sexual act is for procreation period, whereas others say "we are human too". Surely there has to be. Nicki cracks me up playing them all against each other. I think Chloe Sevigny is just a mess. This roll was made for her.
I love that show! sm
It's fascinating. But it makes me so mad sometimes to see what people have had to go through to *finally* get the correct diagnosis. Some people they've shown were so close to dying, so very sick, and were being told nothing was wrong.

It makes me wonder how many people aren't lucky enough to find the right doctor to help them, and just continue to suffer and even die. Horrible.
I love that show!
the first time I saw the show was 4 or 5 years ago.  I love the part where the camera comes up under their water bowel when they are drinking water.
Love the Show Too
My daughter and I started watching last season. Boy, they do waste food, don't they. I'm not sure who has a chance this year. I guess as the weeks go on...hopefully it'll get better, but after seeing the previews for next week, maybe not.
And what does God say he wants us to do to show him we love him? sm
To care for the sick and less fortunate, to defend those who are weak and cannot defend themselves, to treat everyone with love and kindness. To love your neighbor as yourself. If we all did that instead of judging everyone, we would probably not be chasing people away from Christianity.
It is just the love they can show...sm
You would have to own one. Mine touches my heart. I can't explain it. But he has a geniune love for me. For instance, I went to Walmart this evening and on the way home my husband called and said your dog is depressed looking out the windows for his mama and whining. He shows such genuine love it is just amazing. He waits for me at the door of the bathroom when I get a bath and will whimper and stick his paw under the door. How can you hate an animal capable of such love? It touches me.
As much as I love the show...
I'm afraid it's "jumping the shark". While I would hate to work with/for anyone like him, I loved his all-knowing arrogant self. Frankly, I'm not impressed by his journey to self-discovery...sure, it was nice when he (re)found with Selma Ward (I think that's who it was) and I find it interesting to find out clues to what make him who he is. I enjoy his occasional hiccups of compassion. But all the goofy stuff they've got him doing...like openly not accepting Kuttner's death (which is whole 'nother beef); the Good Ol' House may been bothered but he'd have not let anybody know. And his hallucinations of Amber/CHB just are out of character and almost seem, in my opinion, to waste precious story time. I watch for the medical crap (and to hear them mispronounce things) and to see House being House, not John Edwards channeling dead people.

Get him back to basics, please!!!
Not irritating me, love the show, always have
and watched it since it first started, think he is not a singer but do not vote and have seen better voted off year after year, just what ever floats your boat. The person who is supposed to win will, bottom line.
yep..i love the show, my favorite.
jeffrey, the nut job...is freaky, bet he ends up in jail
I love this show- it's great and I want to go to NYC just to be on it!! nm
nm
I used to love the show but this year
cannot get into it for some reason. I was not liking the fact that they did the Beatles twice- is there not enough music in the world to play that same ole routine? I am just not into it as I have been in the past.
I love NYC, and I think everyone should go to see a B'way show at least once in their lives.
But if you're ever interested in doing a shorter, probably less expensive theater trip, don't forget about Philadelphia. Lots of Broadway shows come to Philly. The Lion King, Wicked, The Producers -- they've all been here. The casts can be different, but no less amazing. One of the best nights of my life was seeing Yul Bryner in the King and I in Philadelphia. Amazing! This past Saturday night I saw Michael York play King Arthur in Camelot with Rachel York was Gunavere. I just bought a subscription to the Walnut Street Theatre in Philly and will see Man of LA Mancha, Peter Pan, The Price, the Odd Couple and Les Mis next season, along with Amadeus at the Wilma Theatre.
No, it's not quite Broadway -- not the lights, not the hustle and bustle, not the exact casts. But, for a shorter trip for less money, a quick weekend without the kids perhaps, you can see amazing theatre in Philly, too. And when it comes to food and restaurants, Philadelphia has a well earned reputation as a foodie city.
Enjoy your time in NYC! If you're ever in Philly, drop me a line!
I love those guys and can't wait for the show!
o
Reality show fan too! What do you think of Rock of Love?
LOL! And I Love New York from Flavor of Love! Surreal Life. lol. These are the best entertainment these days if you ask me. And there are so many I can't even remember all of them.

Also love Top Chef, America's Top Model, American Idol, etc., and that hair show called Shear Genius with Jacklyn Smith. Hope that comes back.

I had to get something similar to TIVO so I could record all of my shows!!!!

That's my biggest
xxx
I think that my biggest change is that
I am no longer a people pleaser. If people don't like me as I am, then they don't. I use to do so much stuff to try and make people like me, but not any more.

This is one of my biggest fears! When I saw it on CNN, I thought I was having...

a nightmare!  When I was a little kid one of my uncles said something like some of the bridges in Missouri are so old that pieces fall off with every car that drives across.  Couple that with my fear of water and drowning, I have been afraid of bridges ever since!  To see that awful site on CNN with the bridge collapsing into the Mississippi River with 50 cars on it -- I could feel myself breathing faster and my heart racing!

How horrible for those people on the bridge whose cars went into the water and the school bus with kids just sitting on the piece of broken, hanging bridge.  The parents were probably hysterical with fear and worry!

I've been praying for everyone involved since last night.

Who got eliminated on Biggest Loser?
Didn't change clock on my video recorder.  Thanks!
Anybody on the NBC Biggest Losers On-line club? How much is it? sm
is it worht the cost?  TYIA.
Checking on the biggest news stations
none are carrying that story so I would think they would have a person right at the spot, like they always do.
Mammograms..From the world's biggest chicken..sm
I've only had the "plate" kind (plastic or something, not glass) and it's really not painful at all.  They don't actually "smash" the plates down on you, the technician slowly compress the plates after positioning. It's more of a moderate pressure feeling. If you take your hand and slowly compress the breast a little firmly that is about what it feels like. It's really not painful, and I'm the world's biggest chicken!!...)))
Biggest Loser voting question
I need to vote, but I can't find where to vote!  Shouldn't that be the first thing you see when you go to the website?  Anybody have a link?  I want Roger to stay because I think Mark has reached the limit of healthy weight loss.  If he keeps competing it is not going to be pretty!  Plus his body and mind start breaking down because he pushes himself too hard.
Extended warranties are the biggest waste - sm,
of money, and the all time scam of the century. The couple times I was d*u*m*b enough to buy one they never, never paid for themselves. I never buy them now, haven't for years and have never had a problem with any of the products I bought that offered them. Believe me the companies that offer them (just about everyone) are laughing all the way to the bank....they take in way more then they ever have to pay out for repair work/replacments, etc.
I think a clean maker can be the biggest factor sm
I have had a Bunn, Mr. Coffee, GE, etc, and the main thing in how my coffee tastes is how clean the maker itself is. I have learned the hard way that it must be cleaned with vinegar or a coffee maker cleaner once a month or the coffee maker will be slow to brew and not have a good taste. Also making sure to check the manual for how much coffee to use - mine states no more than 3/4 Tbsp per 6-ounce cup of coffee even though the coffee itself says 1 Tbsp per serving.
Right, I posted in my 1st comment that the biggest mistake
a cheated-on person can make is to go out and do the same, tit for tat.
Then one loses everything.

Yes, Diana should not have cheated, this made, as you also stated, her position weaker and Charles' stronger and this was the beginning of the end.
Giving up and bringing him to your bed was your biggest mistake -
You are teaching him that you are going to give in to him if he whines a bit. If you will just consistently hold out and not go to him, he will stop it in a few days. I just went through this with my new pekingese. She took about 2 weeks of crate training before she quit whining. I never gave in to her for whatever reason and even if it was time to take her out, I never got her out until she was completely quiet. Now, all I do is tap the box when it is time to go in and she usually goes in completely on her own and she never cries anymore.

Thanks Kokopoo. I feel more encouraged now. My biggest worry is the
hormonal effects. I certainly feel better with the thought that I might be able to fare well with that with vitamin and natural resources. Thanks for sharing your story.
Who'd Have Thought? "Clean" movies biggest winners.

Here's an article that analyzes the revenues earned by movies without foul language, violence, explicit sex or substance abuse compared with those that include these things.  As you can see, depravity loses bigtime.  Good on you, American movie-goers!  You're rewarding decency and punishing filth-peddlers the best way possible - with your dollars.

Anyone sign up and use The Biggest Loser weight loss plan? I am

rapidly adding on pounds sitting here most of the day, but don't have a gym nearby and cant afford to be on the road for an hour 1-way to get to the closest one.  Am sliding down the slope to obesity real quick.  Does the information help you?  Is it worth the $$?  Can this be done without an exercise buddy?

Any replies would help - positive, negative, suggested alternative web-based programs.

Thanks~~

My biggest peeve!! Hind-site is 20-20 - live and learn (sm)
I have been in similar situation is the distant past and not said anything and felt awful later for not saying anything. Now if it involves a child absolutely I will say something. I learned my lesson. I won't let another opportunity like that slip by without voicing my opinion. I figure even if the parent was so bad they ended up hitting me it would be worth it! At least the child hears someone sticking up for him or her (not at the age you saw of coure) and knows that what is happening to them is wrong. I have led small children to their parents in stores, brought them over to their parents in parking lots when they were walking alone, etc. I once found a 3 year old child wandering around my apartment complex (years ago) alone. I asked him to show me where he lived and he did - way, way, way across the complex. His mother would not come out and talk to me but hid in the apartment and just yelled out "okay, thanks." I was in my 20s then - if it was now I would have done more than just take him home - I would speak face to face with them mom and maybe even turn her in. Anyway...got me ranting..sorry...but just learn from this so that next time you know you did the right thing and you won't feel bad. Those children you saw will be talking soon and they will tell mom what is going on. If he doesn't want her to know, it means she will defend them. It is still sad, but it is hard to make a snap decision about what to do if you have never thought something like that through. now you have and next time can be ready to speak up :-)
My biggest time waster/sucker-upper is work related

If I need to research a word or a procedure and I find a link with downloadable free surgical videos...watch out!  Fascinating stuff and man, you learn a lot when you watch them and it's accompanied by the surgeon talking the watcher through step by step, because then it really gels in your head.

I do most of my shopping on line though, just because the only stores near me are Walmart and Target, which totally don't buy stuff I need around here.  However, sister wouldn't get paid if I did it during work hours, because I spend too much time researching the best deals and always free shipping, so that can take up quite a bit of time.

I missed the show but yesterday on her show
a couple of brothers came in and gave money to the family. Sorry I don't have more info, but like you, I do love the show. The brothers tried to give some of the credit to Oprah but she wouldn't take it. She really wanted the brothers to get all the credit.
I LOVE love love shallots! I use them in everything that calls for an onion and/or garlic. Mmmmmm. n

American Idol - Love, love, love Adam!!!
I think he'll make it til the end! At least I hope so!

I have had several, unfortunately. Is there a reason they did
an ultrasound at 7 weeks and again at 10 weeks? Mine were later attributed to the genetics of my husband's connective tissue disorder, but we were unaware of his diagnosis during that time. However, I am curious as to why they would be following you so closely with ultrasounds at this point in your pregnancy. (((hugs)))
Reason
The reason I asked is because our 3 year-old neighbor girl walks around with hers all the time.  Drives me nuts.  Like you said, cannot understand them when they talk.  I figure if potty trained can get rid of that too.  Of course they like to brag about what a big girl she is now, but........
Ok, the reason why I ask, of course, is
the medication you possibly might have been taking but back to the drawing board. I took synthroid since the late 80s and my hairs, yes hairs, about 2 of them left was worrying the crap outta me. Read here and then other places Synthroid was known for causing the hair loss. By the way, it does not get better. Mine had gotten to the point of my wearing wigs and thinking about hair replacement but since overall, hair replacement not an ideal plan for me. I went to endo physician, told him not taking the medicine any more and asked for Armour. The hair is growing back and I am a happy girl. I at 1 time had the real lush hair so the falling out really did not get better until I changed the medicine. Oh, BTW, for the person whose hair comes out more after shampooing, mine did exactly the same, could run my hand through it and it came out in gobs. I feel your pain because I was there also.
No reason given so far...

I think she didn't think AJ could ever be a Tony...provide for her in the way Carm is provided for...just a guess. Love that show, absolutely the best writing and acting bar none! When that goes, so does my HBO, but I do like Big Love too!

the reason they
are taking it this far is because it is a drug-resistant form of TB.

I don't think they are quarantining each and every one of his clients are they? But yeah, if a person has TB and they are noncompliant with taking the medication they can actually be locked up for the period of time that they need to take the medication. Its a serious thing.
One reason might be that
girls are starting earlier, and the younger they are, the more likely mom's help will be treasured. What girl wants to be caught at school unprepared? Also, lines of communication need to be open because back when I was in school, there was no time allowed for bathroom breaks longer than about 30 seconds, so this can cause real management problems if you know what I mean.
This is something I would rather do without and the reason
first of all handing out money to people who do not even file taxes and handing out more money to stimulate the economy only is working against it. You don’t spend more when we are already in a recession. The people paying the most taxes are the ones getting the least out of this. Oh I love the way the gov works. If I get something plan on putting in the bank to draw interest to pay for the taxes I will be charged on it come 2009.
Reason behind my not asking
dont have to count on a job really anymore- doing now because want to- in the past raising family and such -only chump change needed now.
One reason would be
drugs like methamphetamine! Also, the easy times we had for so long are sort of bad for moral values. As a society we think we're entitled to have it all, whether we have worked for it or not. Even gluttony comes from this attitude, I believe. During hard times, sure there was crime driven by poverty, but it was a whole other country crime-wise. Men came back from the war with DRIVE to better themselves. They found wives and settled down to work and make something of themselves. They understood there was some luck involved too, and took it in stride. If they stumbled, they tried again. They had discipline. They expected nothing handed on a platter. That's why they are considered the Greatest Generation; hard times built character.
yes. I did. My son is the reason that...
I started doing transcription. I may not make quite as much as I used to, but I do not have to pay for daycare and I get to be home with my son, not to mention the gas money I save (especially when fuel was so high). I think that working outside of the home was easier than doing all of the housework, taking care of the baby (soon to be babies in a week, or so) and working. Even if I still had to do all of the housework, soimebody else watching my son would make my job that much easier. I choose, however, to stay home with him and work a little harder. What I do miss is daily adult interaction--especially with my husband in Iraq right now.
Yes for some reason or the other....sm
the girlfriend is out of the picture now. Maybe she saw his true colors.
The only reason I could see for not
letting someone work as a nurse or whatever with epilepsy is that they would have to wait a while if they had a seizure to make sure it had not become a chronic problem, just like not being able to drive for a certain length of time after a seizure.
no, that's not the reason.
nm
Right, and men usually marry for one reason
for someone to take over their mom's job :)
Maybe that is the reason for my neighbors
still having their lights on the house, and ON.
