that this guy is capable of change. And the best thing you can possibly do is think about your girls and what you want for them, how you want their childhood to be, and how you can avoid further trauma to their psyche. This type of dysfuction is devastating to them and will, if left unchecked, eventually lead to them seeking out dysfunctional relationships in the future. Children learn what they live and have no reason to believe that this family dynamic is not normal. It certainly is not healthy for them. As you filter through advice that you are given and make decisions about how you will deal with this, ALWAYS make your girls the first and foremost consideration and make all decisions with their best interest in mind.
Exhausted, I wish you and your girls the best. I also have a 16 MO daughter and cannot imagine my DH acting this way. Sure, he doesn't LIKE to change poopy diapers, nobody does, but he will do it if she needs it. He will do anything for her.
As their mother, you are their most important role model. If you continue to be his doormat, you can be sure that they will just the same later in life. You have to show them that this type of life is unacceptable and that you always consider their needs and emotional health to be your first priority, always.

Had it for a colonoscopy. At one point, I remember saying, "Oh!" - must have felt something, but I don't remember. I asked about it as soon as I woke up, and they said that was the point they gave me a little more. Honestly, I felt nothing and felt great after. Maybe they had a hard time intubating the colon on yours - you know, sometimes there are twists and turns. They could have had to maneuver your position quite a bit, but I do think that nurse's statement was not very professional.
First of all - would highly recommend
a sound machine such as those sold by Radio Shack - or a CD of white noise - more energy efficient than a fan running constantly and much warmer in the winter!! I use my constantly!! We hung pieces of white board from tiny nails over 3 of the windows in our den to block the light from the TV screen - especially useful in the summer... they have warped a tiny bit and we probably should have made them a little bit wider but they work - they are not unattractive - could easily be covered with a fabric to match the room if I so desired - and are light-weight so they come off very easily and I drop them behind the couch when not in use.... we have three narrow windows going across.... you can get this wood cut in any size and could work out something on the sides and bottoms - some kind of lever thing to tighten them down - we just have done nothing but hang from two tiny nails at the top as that is all we needed - but covering them with fabric might just be what I do soon!!

my sister claims that Avon has a product that actually has higher amounts of the same active ingredients and is supposedly better. I don't know which is better, but I know that some of the highest priced products don't rate well at all.

Had it done a few years ago. My cousin is going through menopause at early age and just saw doc today... she is going to have a saline infusion-type ablation, which is done in the office. I had mine done under anesthesia, but very quick and painless afterward. If I have again before proceeding to hysterectomy, will see about the saline kind done in office.

There are other companies too, but this is the only one we've used. It saved us a small fortune when our Rottie got bone cancer in his front leg at just 4-1/2 years old. After the diagnosis, we got a CT scan (same machine they use for people - $$$) to make sure it hadn't spread. It hadn't, so we went ahead and amputated the leg (also not so inexpensive). He felt great, was out of pain, adapted easily to 3 legs and was his old, happy self. But just 6 months later the cancer was back, and we had to let him go. Poor baby. It all ended up costing about $2000.00, and we were reimbursed about $1200.00 from the insurance, so it was a big help.
I think we just had their basic policy too, not the more expensive one (that would've reimbursed more), but I don't remember. I think we paid around $300.00 a year for him (including an optional $99 routine care coverage addition to the policy). The cost depends on the age and breed of the animal, and you can make monthly payments or pay all at once. They insure all kinds of animals too, not just dogs and cats.
We have VPI for our 2 youngest dogs (2 y/o Rottie and 5 y/o husky mix). Personally, we will never be w/o it again on any of our dogs. It's just such a relief to know you have it. VPI also has a routine care plan you can add on to the policy (or not) that reimburses part of your yearly costs for shots, spay/neuter, teeth cleaning, flea/tick products, and heart worm meds, and we like having that.
My oldest dog, my baby, is Wiley, a 12 y/o Siberian Husky. Much to my regret, I didn't get insurance for him when he was younger. Now it's too expensive (and they don't cover preexisting conditions). Same with my senior Siberian, Alexx, who died earlier this year - I didn't have insurance for her because it's too expensive when they're seniors (if they'll even cover you then). So I'll be paying off credit card bills for Alexx (who was very healthy until the last year or so) and Wiley (mostly Wiley) for yeeeeeaaarrrs to come.
Wiley's had health problems since he was 5 yrs old, starting with his teeth (enamel hypoplasia, meaning lots dental x-rays, cleanings, extractions - root canals!), then a tumor (spindle cell sarcoma), then a recurrance of the tumor 3 yrs later (the biggest expense by far, due to the extensive nature of the surgery, need for a scan first, a specialist...), and now... immune-mediated joint disease. If I'd had insurance for him, I would've save myself, literally, *thousands* of dollars (assuming they didn't cancel the policy! LOL)

Housekeepers actually make more like 60-75 dollars a visit. You may get someone who is just looking for some pin money to do what you're asking, but I'm sure they'll want more than 15 dollars.

I read people well, and what I read in the mother's post is proof positive that she is a very loving mother. Her daughter is going thru normal teen behavior.
May I ask you; do you have children? Because if you don't, you have no idea what you are speaking about. Only parents can TRULY understand this situation.

Unfortunately, here in Georgia, it is
my understanding that there is not any law stating at which age a child may be left home alone. When I called DFACS several years ago regarding this, I was told the above and that DFACS has guidelines that they use (which were ridiculous -- I believe it was 8 years old okay to stay by themselves and maybe a couple of years older to be left in charge of a sibling/younger child). I believe this was about 6 years ago.
Anyway, because these are DFACS guidelines only and are not the law, there is no way to enforce this and unless a tragedy occurs there is no punishment.

I understand the whole quarantine thing, but this is taking it too far. I'm sure this guy has had tons of clients. It just does not sound prudent to have to quarantine each and every client. Sounds absurd.
I am nearly as bad as he sounds as far as having highly sensitive skin -
I get a red, itchy welt if a mosquito even lands on me. I have also been bitten by horseflies. My doc has recommended just Benadryl lotion on the offending bite and then 2 of the pills. I also put ice on my skin to help with the swelling and itching. You might try this before you take him in. Best of luck. :-)

especially if you have animals, etc. My friend gave me hers as she bought it from Sam's Club and I love it. You get a gallon jug and then a sprayer. It's an all-in-cleaning. She even puts it in her towels when washing. I just am very pleased with the smell. Just a little suggestion if you are having guests this holiday season!

However, my concern is that this is an effective preventative measure and people are not getting it for their daughters. You do not have to be promiscious to get it and believe me it causes lots of problems later.
I only had sex with one man - my husband - before being diagnosed with HPV - and he had only had sex with one other person.
I now have constant female problems and the doctor says it is because of the HPV. My paps come back bad and I have to have the LEEP procedures done routinely, or have biopsies done, I have to have paps every 3 months instead of yearly. I have constant bacterial infections and vaginitis.
Goodness knows, I wish I had had the option of having a vaccine to prevent this stuff before I became sexually active with my husband.

We have a Ethan Allen BR set, very good quality, about $3500 for a King bed, dresser, mirror and men's dresser/cabinet. I have my mom's old Lane loveseat and recliner, they are about 12 years old and still look and feel brand new. My mom used the recliner every day, the loveseat was used less often. They were not cheap but certainly worth it, cannot remember exactly what she spent, I would think about $1500 at least on those 2 pieces (she also bought a sectional and recliner of the same pattern for another room at the same time which my dad still has and still looks great too). Stuff like Haynes and The Dump just don't seem to last (I have friends with furniture from there). Have fun shopping!

and it's great going to restaurants, stores, etc without smelling cigarettes. Restaurants can only allow smokers if they don't admit anyone under age 18 and they have to have a ventilation system that meets a certain strict criteria with the state.

Everyone in the town knew each other, church going, great little town, safe, so everyone thought. The family slaughtered - oh not by one of their own - by outsider. Farm family. Raped the wife (who was daughter, DIL of the others, all related) and killed oh, I think 6 or 7 in the family. Got in because all the doors unlocked. This was not this year nor the last 10- more like 20 years or so ago. I remember as such a savage thing. They did live in a nice little town where everyone knew everyone.

Assisted suicide here in Georgia
A man here in Georgia went a website called Final Exit as he had decided to end his life, had been suffering with cancer of the head, mouth, etc. Now the people who helped him have been arrested for participating. Apparently they use helium and the person or else the people around him then use a bag over his head and from what I am hearing they hold his hands because once he makes his decision and says yes, no turning back. There are some states that allow assisted suicide, Montana and Washington being a couple of them. What I want to know, I type and you probably have also of people at end of life being given morphine in the hospital to "make them comfortable" when actually all it does is speed up their demise by slowing down respiration, etc. I guess the medical profession is able to do their own "Final Exit" scenes but no one else?
Living in Georgia and loving it
Never have felt the need to move because I got frustrated, never. Moved from another state over 30 years ago and love where I live. I really hate when I see an overall blanket statement about a state being backwards. I find myself going on the offense when a person attacks a state in general when they perhaps are unhappy just for the person they are. I am sure a person can find fault with any place they might be brought up or choose to live but my community is very progressive, upscale and as much as I love to travel, hope this can be my home from here on. People make their own happiness and if you are unhappy either in your personal or business life, then perhaps you are just soured on the world, not where you live. If a person wants to move from my state, hey, just more room for the people who can enjoy their life here.

I had a prior foster child that came to me in the 5th grade that tested to be on the 1st grade reading level and 2nd grade math level. Her prior schools for the past 2 years that she was in foster care before moving to me had report cards for her with A's and B's all over the place. The school here refused to hold her back because she was held back on the 1st grade due to poor attendance while living with her birth parents, even though emotionally she was 8 in a 12-year-old body.
Fortunately for this child while she was living with me we figured out her educational deficits and that she had learning disabilities. We moved her to a specialized group home that has worked with her extensively and she's now in 8th grade and back in mainstream classes. She's making C's and earning them - not having them given to her. I shudder to think what would have happened to her if she hadn't come to my home to figure out she had more problems than the system realized and helped her get the help she needed - she probably would have ended up as a statistic. She still is emotionally behind her peers but hopefully one day will catch up on that aspect. Oh yes, she also went to summer school here and that was 2 weeks - what a joke. All they did was play games half the day outside and did just a little work on reading and math.

and they work with school uniform vendors to provide them really cheaply, around $7-8 for each shirt and each pair of pants or shirt.
My daughter goes to a school with a dress code and it's nice not having the "what is OK to wear to school" discussions in the morning. It also eliminates kids who come from poor families feeling inferior to other kids over their clothes.

I don't think they should have to check every child's record before administering any MEDICAL testing, but I definitely think permission slips are in order.

People hauled into court today here in Georgia for
watering their lawns. One guy had bench warrant put against him when he did not show up in court. We are in such a drought, first offense is $100.00 plus but the second one is $400.00 plus and after that I think your water is turned off. I wish Texas could share some with us. They don’t need and we do.

Young lady killed here in Georgia, Appalachian trail hiker
and she was enjoying going out about 2 years ago, killed on a mountain here by man posing as hiker. She was a young, vibrant lady in her 20s, he was in his 60s. I think I am getting this right when I say he used her police baton she carried for protection, wrestled it away from her and killed her with it. Is not the trail you hike on known for lot of crimes? This murder happened on that same trail where you give rides to strangers. This man was well known to other hikers there as he hung out on the trail lots of times.
I do live in Arkansas - my parents live up in Branson so I'm in Missouri quite often!

Calling all you animal lovers - live and let live or intervene? - sm
I have a dilemma. I am an animal lover and have something I cannot come to a conclusion about. At a restaurant where I eat lunch every Friday with a friend of mine, I have noticed a young male kitty hanging around outside looking for food. This past week he ran up to my friend and rubbed her legs and quietly meowed. I purposely did not try to pet him because I knew I would get attached and ignored him. Well, ever since then I find myself thinking about him and wanting to rescue him. Meanwhile, I already have 4 inside cats (2 rescues, 2 Maine Coons) and hubby really does not want another cat in the house because a few years ago I promised we would never have more than 4 (had up to 5 at one point previously). I actually have a huge screened deck he could stay on indefinitely because I do not believe in letting cats run loose for their own safety. I could provide plenty of food, a warm place to sleep, and veterinary care. At some point I would even probably work him into our household, but I just cannot do it at the moment. Just not sure I would be doing right by that kitty because I am sure he would be upset and confused for a good while as to where he was and what was going on, but is that better than being hungry and cold? I know there are lots of animal lovers out there. What does everyone think??
I'm a live-and-let-live person but had to draw the line
after I found HUGE holes in the walkway between my house and barn. I thought they were just little mice stealing grain, but then I spotted one and it was a HONKIN RAT! My poor olderly cat was out there with me at the time and saw it, and he hissed at it and ran away!
I asked for advice on what to do at a local agricultural board, because I have other animals and didn't want to use poison and conventional traps weren't working. They advised putting a large pale of water out with some seeds floating in it, figuring the rats would go for the seeds and end up drowning. That was a no-go because the water just froze up solid. I wound up reluctantly going with Decon because I just can't have my house destroyed. I haven't had seen any more rats or evidence of them stealing grain, so I'm guessing they have died. The guy at the grain store promised me the rats would not die in the building and stink the joint up, rather they would crawl off and die outside. I don't know if I believe that, as it is still winter here and decomposition would be holding off until it warms up. We'll see, but at least the destruction has been halted.
Good luck and I too say have no mercy, because you just don't need them destroying hour house or causing a spark chewing wires and burnin' the place down. It is war!

I understand exactly where you are coming from. You don't see atheists walking around and knocking on other people's doors. I have friends who are Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, Episcopalian, Atheist, Agnostic, and even Wiccan, so whose religion is "right?"

I had this same problem with my Dell computer also and had no clue it was just an update I needed to do since adding security. I did this since grandchildren will be visiting and didn't want them getting into my files, uninstalling programs or anything else; won't have to sit and watch them 24/7 while playing games on one of my computers. Anyway, you're more than welcome.

Whether I spoke or not has nothing to do with it.....when I was 16, I only weighed about 95 pounds..I am just thin, small, petite and have been so all of my life......I was just trying to give support to anyone who is trying to lose weight if they are determined to do....did not mean to offend anyone.....a person can accomplish anything they have their mind set on when they have a lot of support to do so.....THAT IS ALL I WAS TRYING TO SAY......
