I would have a hard time choosing between them if they made it in the final 2. The guys haven't really impressed me much, but Chris Sligh is kind of fun to watch.

Does anyone else have a problem with Melinda's lack of a neck? I just can't stop looking for it.

I love Lakisha's song choice, though. One of my favorites. Jordan is excellent but a little young...she will only get better. I was expecting more of out Stephanie, and Blake and Chris Richardson were the best men...but that ain't saying much..LOL

She has no personality at all! Does she ever smile? Yes, she can definitely sing, no doubt about it, but you do need more. My dh and I cringe when she's on. She's very robotic and unemotional. We like Blake and Jordin! We used to like Melinda until she started looking like she's 45 years old. She's in a league of her own, though, and will definitely go onto succeed, but not as a pop icon. She reminds me of Barbra Streisand with how professional she is.

But I don't watch the show regularly, though did see the beginning and Lakisha was my favorite...I hope she can pull it off and win!

Melinda hands down is best, however, people judge by youth, looks, etc., I heard on this board that she has "no neck." How very sad, she's the best, humble, talented and more. Life is not fair, I am upset. It's the same in every profession, sometimes the "best" pushed aside. Pray she does well, she deserves it!

Did you ever hear Shirley Bassey do that song? It's one of my favorites, so I wasn't that impressed. Believe it or not, she did not hit the last note.

I mean, she can sing well, but the aw shucks act has got to go. You know who else bugs me? Phil Stacey...He is just creepy to look at too. My faves are Lakisha, Blake, Chris Richardson, and sometimes Jordan (not last night, she shouted the song). Anyone but Sanjaya. Come on, last night EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE, was better than him. He HAS to go.

I always think of Barbara S when Melinda performs. (sm)
Although I don't enjoy Barbara S because her ego is so unattractive, but still I can see her talent. It is nice to hear a singer that you are confident is going to hit every note every time and never let you down. That's what I think they both have, and Melinda may be just trying to avoid anybody seeing her with a big ego so that she doesn't lose fans for it. In other words, I do think the humility thing is an act, but she's trying to avoid the other extreme.

the others are fine too. At this point all their styles are different. Some copy, some original, some so talented that they will do well whether they win or not. Melinda mellows me, Blake makes me want to dance, Jordan makes me smile.
