I have a little guy in Kindergarten, too, and we have a 1st year teacher, at that. She is constantly sending home reminders to feed our children breakfast. No kidding. But when your kids eat breakfast at 7 a.m. and lunch is not until noon, that's a long time for anyone to go without a snack. In fact, I make sure there are granola bars in my kids backpacks because I got called alot when my daughter was in kindergarten too, that she was sick to her stomach, and it turns out she was just hungry.

I would have a sit-down with the teacher. Let her know that you appreciate the effort, because dealing with 20 kids all day would be hard work, but also let her know that your child is fully capable of doing those things. It may not be perfectly done, but who is perfect and precise when they are 5? If you don't talk with her, it might be a LONG year!! Good luck!
