Looking for ~K~ names...

Hi everyone!  I am looking for a name that begins with K...Do you any of you have the perfect ~K~ name for the perfect baby girl coming to our family?  Thank you all for your suggestions!!!

Pet's names
Siberian Husky is Spunky; Blue heeler is Blue; Cats-Kitty, Sweetie, Ginger, Turtle, Killer, Twinkie; goats-LuLu, Bonnie, Clyde, Blackie. Rest of the goats have no names and neither do the 30-somwthing chickens! BTW, kids named several of these!
You do not have to name names, you
gave the state and all a person had to do was Google about student murdered in the state and the name is there.
well, I don't like it. Names are
hurtful and unnecessary. Does he not realize he is the measure for this child as he grows up? and that everything he will learn about being a good father himself he will have learned from his own. While he needs to mind, he does not need to be made inferior doing it.
Why would you consider the names
more different??? Everything has a name.
Names for a dog...sm

My husband and I are going to be getting a new puppy within the next couple of months.  I don't know if it is going to be male or a female, but we were just having a discussion about what we should end up calling him/her.  We are looking for somthing origional (no "spot" or "fido" or anything like that lol).  Something funny maybe, but nothing we would be embarassed to call him/her in public.

What are some of your guys' favorite "pets" names?

Thanks!!!

Dog names

Well, we named Bumper said name because as a puppy, he was clumsy and bumped into everything.

We loved him so dearly that 20 months later, Maggie came along (her AKC papers read Bumper's Princess Magdeline).  We actually named her after Maggie from The Simpsons, who is such a sweet and innocent child.  Now, Hubby wanted to put "Bumper's Lady Margaret" on her AKC papers but I told him I have an aunt named Margaret that I don't like, so it became Bumper's Princess (that, she is) Magdeline.  Plus, I liked the biblical reference.

Toby, our rescue, was already named.  I guess his original name was Oliver (how cute!!!!) but his first owners changed it to Toby.  Then, when he was around 3, the mother got pregnant and decided she didn't have enough time for him.  Don't get me started on folks like that.  Dogs are a lifetime commitment (unless there are aggression issues, etc.).

Now, we have so many nicknames for each dog, it's not funny.  If you want to hear them, I'll post them when I have time.  Somehow, Bumper ended up being called Beef but I don't remember why.

Also, we've tried to breed Bumper and Maggie (our rescue is a neut) with no success.  If they ever do have puppies, I'm going to do a theme.  Right now, I'm thinking of names from the Broadway play Cats.  There are so many cute names in that play!

Names...sm
I know someone else who named their dog DOG and pronounced it the same way. I thought that was the coolest thing.

Right now, I have cats Lucky, Tripp (Named for Matthew McConaughey's character in Failure to Launch), Stella, and the newest edition is Smokey, but I call him Max. I like people names for animals, too, so you can see who I didn't name. Over the years, I've had Mickey, Max, Sam, Pete, Chloe, and Sneezer (all cats) and my dog was Casey, who passed last summer at just shy of 13.

Human names
I name all mine human names as they are a part of the family.  Plus, when you meet someone by that name it is hilarious!  I especially love old fashioned names for them.  Right now I have a Hazel, Eliza, Eleanor and Stella that I named.  Named one Nick as I found him at Christmas time for St. Nick.

I figured I would post some of the ones that I remember from current/childhood pets.

DOGS: Cody, Ginger, Roxanne, Molly, Toby, Murphy, Patch, Zoe, Cassie, Tater, Reno, Gretchen, Sally, Baby, Heidi, Bear Dog.

HORSES: Missy, Rose, Bubba, Charlie, JJ, Shadow, Vet (like Corvette), Cherokee, Dusty, Stormy.

CAT: Spanky.

FISH: On Oscar named Skit (short for schizophrenia, he has multiple personalities, I swear it!).

We exchange names, so we don't have to give many, but
this year DH and I drew my parents. Since it is a couple's draw, it gives you the freedom to spend $100 on the couple or $50 for each. Well we got nice sheets in the color they wanted, from the store they wanted, got mom a pretty silky nightgown and robe she could pack easily, and got Dad the digital tire gauge with the big readout he wanted. So they each had one to open and then a couple gift. They seemed pleased, especially about the sheets.
Yikes!! She named names!!

Regarding brand names of furniture

Am thinking about getting some new furniture. I noticed American Signature had a really good sale on but have never bought any from there. I kinda got stung buying some, what I thought really inexpensive and nice-looking furniture from Ashley's when I moved into my new home in 2004. Well, excited about the newness, I did not check out each piece as it came in 1 x 1. That was my mistake- could not be returned, shoulda checked the small print. A living room chair has arms, 1 is lower than the other- my Bombay chest in the foyer has 1 leg on the bottom that is slightly turned out more than the other- my bedroom furniture has the paint on top flaking off. Needless to say, I do not care about using Ashley again. Now I know I can buy the really, really costly like Broyhill, Thomasville and the like but I have just spent out almost $10,000 getting my main room tiled and my bathroom fixed in slate so now am trying to see what else I can find. Has anyone used American Signature, if so do you like and I am open to any and all suggestions about others. Thanks.

This site has names that mean "white"
http://www.babynamesworld.com/meaning-search.html

Search for the meaning "white" and it gives you a whole bunch of names.
Those are the coolest cat names I ever heard!

What breeds of little dogs? The names
are so cute for little ones!
One year I mixed up all the 4 kid's names
example.. put Debbie's name on Scott's gifts, Scott's name on Mark's gifts, etc. Just let them keep shaking and guessing on the presents.. that were not even their own... It was a real payback for Mom and Dad to see the looks on their faces on Christmas when they recieved their real gifts, with the wrong names on them and they realized they put all that work into guessing and trying to figure out what was in boxes that were not even theirs! LOL
I know of some- Hogg sister but get the first names!
Always thought my stepmom made up but finally read in the papers Ima Hogg and Ura Hogg- they lived in Texas. My mother married a man named Connie and I did intake 1 time at a children's emergency room and there was a female there Snow White.
VERY hard when the names are foreign! DUH.

Do you remember the names of any of the books you read?
Not OP but feeling the same way for a long, long time. Would like it to be better.
Katharine. I like very traditional, timeless names.
Katharine is one of my fave names, and I like it spelled with two "a's", as in Katharine Hepburn. I think Katie is a very cute nickname for a little girl, that can grow into Kate when she's a woman. Maybe because of the connection to Katharine Hepburn, I just imagine Katharine as being a very sophisticated name -- lots of class. I'm just not one for very cutesy, made up names.
Sorry, second guess this week wrong names -nm
/
I just use cat and dog names. Have enough I haven't had to go to poultry/rabbits yet. nm

Ideas for Youth Group Names
I'm teaching a small youth group at our church and I'm trying to come up with a good name for them besides "(Insert church names here) Youth Group". Also, our Baptist Association has an association-wide youth group and I'm trying to come up with some ideas for them too.

(I know this is church-related but I was hoping I'd get more ideas if I put it on the Gab Board)

TIA!!
I find it very mature. Those are the correct names.
nm
The youngster wanted to call names and yet
apparently not woman enough to answer what she meant. Probably not even dry behind the ears and her mama still has to diaper her.
I LOVE human names for animals...
...I think they are really cute. I especially like the idea of having old fashioned names for them! Thanks for the idea!

The other board got me chuckling about male/female names. Can you name the sm

strangest male/female names that you've come across according to gender.  For example, I once typed on a Frank and it was a woman born a female from birth!

What are some parents thinking???? I've also heard of Shirely for a man.

Keep in mind before you start calling people names...
that you are only getting one side of a three-sided story. There is a reason that the son sided with the girlfriend, I imagine.
I had a BIL who used to turn his seat and stare at people and call them names
We're talking about "gender-specific names", and not the nice names either.

Had a grandmother who would wait for overweight people to walk by and then call them "fatty" once they were within hearing distance.

That was about 5 and 6 years ago and we never went out to eat with either of them again. Actually we did but I warned them if they made one mention of calling people names loud enough to ensure the others would hear I would get up and walk out. Needless to say my MIL didn't like that I "had the nerve" to say that to them. I told her it's better than being beat up because little brother couldn't keep his mouth shut and not call people the "f" or "l" word.
dog named Didi, cats names Snowball, Squirrel and Dirt
