When your 5-year-old asks you about the present promised - have your child call the person that was supposed to give the present. Let that person who promises the present explain it to the 5-year-old. EASY SOLUTION! Getting all bent out of shape of something so minor will drive you bonkers. Just let it go.... Believe me there is one of these you speak of in every family. Both of my nieces got lavish gifts from my brother and his wife. My son got a gift too. When it came my daughter's turn - SHE'S STILL WAITING and her birthday was in January!!! We're in the same boat! We've learned to shrug it off and you should too!
