Jesus said that this is what those who do not accept him and do not live according to his word will hear on judgment day, and he is pretty clear about it.

My point is that the Bible says what it says. It is not a book of myths; it is not "open to interpretation." If it were, we would have the 10 Suggestions instead of the 10 Commandments.

People want their ears tickled; therefore, they "interpret" the Bible in a way that is appealing to them and won't interfer with the way in which they want to live their life.
