I looked on irs.gov and looked under where is my stimulus payment. It said if you did not send you taxes off until April 15 or close to April 15 you taxes weren't late but the taxes weren't processed by April 15. So you will not get your payment on that date on the schedule. It can be up to 6 weeks later. I mailed mine on April 15 so that is why I didn't get it today.

We'll just be paying "interest only" for the house, so that would be around $2700 monthly. Do you think our combined income would be enough for this? If we don't get approved by a finance institution, someone will co-sign for us to get the house.

it may be if you're not already in arrears with them, but I have had a payment plan with them before. When you file for the automatic extension, it only allows that the deadline to file the return itself is extended to August 15th, but if you are going to owe, you are still supposed to pay by April 15th. (What's the point, right?) I think it is more a means for people who have complicated returns to get more time to complete them, but still have to estimate how much they owe and go ahead and pay that.

seems chase is changing policies on their credit card holders. charging 10 service fees if you want to keep your promotional rate. also doubling minimum payments. Didn't they have financial problems in 2008?

My only bill is the house payment, which is quite taken care of

Something about a back injury that didn't allow her to work (but did allow her to carry 8 babies? Strong back....?) and she also gets some money for a couple of the first 6 kids who are disabled in one way or another (not sure of the details).
Tax stimulus
Anybody with a ss# ending in 00-09 get their stimulus in the mail yet? I am not referring to direct deposit...only via mail.
My ss# falls in this category and I don't have a car. Don't want to waste money on a cab to the post office unless I have a pretty good indication that the check might be there. I live in GA.

Talked to my parents last night. They live in an old-age apt complex and some of the residents have already received theirs. My parents said they each would receive their stimulus on May 10.

I just found out that if you had you taxes done by a financial institution like HR Block and you chose to have their fee taken from your refund then you receive your stimulus by mailed check, so you should check the mailing schedule, not direct deposit

I had a letter a few months ago but not a week before it should have been mailed. According to the website mine was to be mailed NO LATER than 5/23 - and I still don't have it. :(

Even though I had my direct deposited, I actually got a letter two days after it was already deposited that it would be coming.

I owed 4800 this year. BUT no stimulus check. Ok, fine, can accept that btu shoudn't my "stimulus check" go toward what I owe!!! Sorry but my bills are going up just like everone else so I don't deserve any "extra" either??

Well I got a notice from the IRS that I could expect my stimulus check by May 30 and I didnt
get it today. I will get mine by mail. I wonder how far off it comes from when they say it will come.
Would filing your taxes late affect your stimulus check?
We filed an extension, and then sent our return out about two weeks late. We are getting a refund, so it wasn't like we owed the IRS or anything. It was just a complicated return and we were just procrastinators.

Needing this information depends on if you need to use both of your incomes. If not, i would not worry about getting this letter. All mortgage companies are different in what they require. I would just try to use your previous 1099. I am sure the company would not have a problem writing this letter though if needed. If you just explain to them what it is needed for. I am sure you would not be the first person to ask of this.

No matter what the cost of the property sold, the rate I am paying (as others would do) is less than $3,000.00! When you take into consider the previous realtor I had was charging 10% of the total amount, I am coming out smelling like a rose. I tried to tell my relative the earnest money was like down payment but apparently not being believed. Their son was selling some property without a realtor and they got up front and got to keep around $500.00 from a sale that did not go through but mine, I told her, was different. Thanks!

am sitting here wondering why did I not think of that! I think there is a new walk in really close to me, in fact. I have fibro, like I said and I am 1 big ache to start with with pain in the legs, arms, shoulders but this most excruciating pain right now is in the ribs, not more 1 side than the other, almost unbearable. My son is 8, he's in 3rd grade.
He can concentrate for hours on videogames. We spend all of our time together, except for the hours he is in school. Of course, I'm a SAHM MT, so that makes for more time for us. He talks nonstop to everyone, everywhere, all the time. However, my dad and my DH's dad do the same thing, so that could be inherited!
I'm not sure if ADD is the right word here, but don't know how else to describe it. He's not behind by any means in school, however the thing is, it takes him twice as long to complete *jobs*, as his teacher puts it, than the other kids. I know from my experience with him and homework, and it's like pulling teeth sometimes to get one worksheet done. He's just extremely social, I guess. He can't sit still. He has a hard time focusing, I do know that much.
Medication is the last thing we want to do (yes, his father is VERY involved in his life...we are an intact family). I'm thinking about taking him to his ped's office just to talk about some things we can try. I don't want him labeled with anything unless we know for sure he has it. I'm just exploring options right now.

He's worked for this company for 11-12 years, however they just moved across town in July, so he's been driving since then. He absolutely hates the drive, comes home tired and cranky every night. And by apartment, I did mean one of those weekly hotel-thingies.

I definitely need to lose the plastic hamster cage. It has metal slats on the sides and all of their bedding gets pushed out all over the floor. Who ever thought that was a good idea. I wish they would have warned me at the pet store.
BTW, three days after we got them, one of them chewed its tail off or one of the others possibly did it. Ever heard of that?
